  1. Ipsy is still my #1 but I would love to try Glam Bag Plus!

    • Glam Bag Plus is so exciting. On the 2nd of the month they email you what you get, but you get to add on $3 deluxe sizes or $12 full size items if you want to as well!!! I really want to do the Test Tube Box!

      • I agree with you. I used to say Allure hands down. The last couple of months, not so much.

        • I just signed up, but the recent comments are making me nervous

          • I’m addicted to IGBP and Boxycharm… I also get the Boxycharm Luxe every 3 months. I used to also get Lip Monthly but was disappointed in it so I cancelled. At some point I’m going to choose one box when I determine which one better suits me. Until then, I’m doubled up!

    • IGBP

      • Agreed. Why is it SIXTH?!

      • I order Allure it will get to me in 3 days i cant want to see what i go.

      • Same here, BoxyCharm seems like such a good deal!

        • Omg boxycharm is everything the rest are now lol and i have the ipsy glambag plus, birchbox and glossybox and looking for 1 more i tried the FFF FABFITFUN but wasnt thrilled boxycharm is everything lol

          • I just tried babebox, and it seems pretty good.
I get all 3 Ipsy boxes, boxycharm, allure, sephora, this will be my first glossybox, and I think that is it for now

        • Its amazing try it iam never disapointed.

        • I’ve gotten boxycharm for years and I have been so happy with it every time the best product, so much for your money and they are full size not some little trial size

      • I get Boxycharm and BoxyLux. I love them so much. They never disappoint

    • Ditto!

    • I would love to try the allure box.

      • Yes!

    • Same here.

    • Allure!

    • Ipsy

    • Glam bag plus is a must. After my Annual subscription to fabfitfun is up I am canceling because in my opinion Glam bag plus is way better.

    • Ipsy sent awful cheap stuff to me

    • I was so tired of those small trial size products and how many of those bags do you need? People sale them like 10 bags for $5, lol. Sign up for BoxyCharm, you wont be disappointed

  2. Currently, the fav that I get is Allure. Two that I would like to try are NBTT, and FFF.

  3. For me, this is Play! by Sephora, the perfect balance of care for face, hair and makeup

  4. After trying numerous subscription Beauty boxes oh, I would have to say the boxycharm is my favorite

  5. My favs are Look Fantastic, FFF, Ipsy Plus & Margot Elena. I have tried every one listed

  6. I like Dermstore best, but I’d love to try Margot Elena.

    • Margot Elena is my absolute favorite! I love all the crazy scents and beautiful artwork. I also love the glass bottles! My hubby loves her soaps and body wash too so I have to share!

  7. I’d love to try New Beauty Test Tube – I’ve loved their yearly boxes.

  8. Ipsy is my favorite, and I’m dying to try GBP! Boxwalla sounds amazing too.

  9. Fabfitfun!!!!

  10. I would love to try the test tube

  11. Beauty Fix is my favorite one so far, but I would love to try Margot Elena and New Beauty Test Tube!

  12. Love BeautyFix! Ipsy Glambag Plus has been hit or miss for me unfortunately – doesn’t seem like my preferences affect what they send to me. Would love to try New Beauty Test Tube!

  13. I’ve tried PSMH, FFF, Birchbox, Play! by Sephora, and Causebox. Planning to try Look Fantastic and Robb Vince, but FFF is my current favourite.

  14. My favorite boxes are Allure and Sephora!

  15. I love Boxwalla beauty box.

  16. I absolutely love TestTube! I would like to try GlossyBox and Lookfantastic one of these days.

    • I was disappointed with Glossybox. I have been a Glossybox subscriber off and on for several years. And Glossy, in my opinion, is but a former shell of what they used to be and appear to continue with the decline. They all but quit offering full size products, or high end items, etc. They push travel sizes of hair shampoo and conditioner a lot, as fillers it appears. At least when I was a subscriber. Glossy use to be the beauty subscription company hands down, but sadly something has changed within the company. Every six months or so, I resubscribe, I seem to forget how much the service has declined from its glory days, and usually the first box reminds me of why I am no longer a subscriber and I cancel……again. Wishful thinking, I guess.

Anyway, while you did not necessarily ask for an opinion, I wanted to share my experiences before you shell out your hard earned money only to be disappointed.

  17. Petit Vour is my fave. Would love to get the Margot Elena Discovery box!

  18. New Beauty Test Tube!

  19. I would love to try FabFitFun!!

  20. I’m torn between Test Tube and Ipsy Plus. I haven’t had the chance to try either and they are both exciting to me.

  21. Fab Fit Fun…though I would gladly take any if them.

  22. FabFitFun fav try Test tube

  23. I’ve tried Margot Elena, and really like it. Would love to try Beauty Heroes, Beauty Fix, New Beauty Test Tube (I’ve bought singles of this one).

  24. I love Margot Elena. I want to try TestTube.

    • I love test tube and would love to try Margot Elena!

  25. I really like the allure box, if we are talking beauty, but Beauty Test Tube has also been great since I’m more into care than makeup.

  26. I really like Allure and FabFitFun. I would like to try TestTube.

  27. My favorite is Fabfitfun, but a close second is Ipsy GBP. I would love to try Margot Elena!

  28. I have to say, as a value for the money, Target’s Monthly Box is amazing… $7 and free shipping!

  29. Would love to try FFF!!!

  30. Ipsy and Ipsy Plus!

  31. My favorite subscription box of late is BeautyFix, as I love getting and trying different skin care products. Skinceuticals and Skinmedica are faves, but too expensive for everyday purchase for me. A few years back, they offered a Skinmedica travel bag which hooked me. I would love it if they offered something like that again. I would like to try boxes that have natural products that work and I can see results to my skin without spending an arm and a leg for the box. I am working through my Whole Foods beauty bag now and love it – great products and nice price point.

  32. There are too many to choose from.

  33. Boxy charm. I like the subs that do not include a cosmetic bag–everyone has too many and it ends up being wasteful.

  34. Boxycharm!

  35. Test tube is my favorite!

  36. I love FFF and would love to try Boxycharm.

  37. My favorite is definitely testtube, also love Ipsy GBP. I want to try Margot Elena!

  38. Allure is my favorite. Always bringing awesome curated boxes with stuff I wouldn’t normally try. I find so many new loves from this box. You get some awesome luxury items and some drugstore stuff too. Love it.

  39. My favorite right now is Boxycharm

  40. I already have a few of these subscriptions but, I would use the money to give my mom one so she can get to try some new things

    • I love your answer 🙂

    • That is so sweet and selfless!

  41. My favorite is Ipsy Plus. It is the box I most look forward to every month.

  42. I have tried them all except 3 of the favorites. I would go with New Beauty Test Tube. They seem to have cutting edge new products and I love trying ultra high end products.

  43. Boxycharm

  44. My first Allure box just shipped I can’t wait to check it out! I love the Target boxes because you can see what you’re getting and buy tjem whenever you want with no subscription. They always have a coupon too which is great! I send my daughter one in college every month she loves it!

  45. I’m wondering if you ladies can help me! I want a box that has a lot of full size items, and has mainly skin care. I joined Glossybox and was disappointed. I got Boxycharm, but this is mainly makeup, can someone help please?
    Thank you

    • New Beauty’s Test Tube sounds like it could meet your needs (lots of full-size items that are mostly skincare). They do include a little bit of everything (hair, body, makeup, etc.), but they usually have more skincare than anything else. Not everything will be full-size though.

If you’d like to build your skincare collection with full-size products, I’d recommend trying a monthly green beauty box like Beauty Heroes, Detox Box, or Pearlesque. These boxes typically only include two items, but being monthly boxes, you can grow your collection pretty fast. Sometimes they’ll include only full sized products, and sometimes only one full size and one very generously sized sample that you’ll easily be able to get many uses out of.

A couple of other options are Boxwalla & The Clean Beauty Box. These are both green beauty boxes as well, but they are bi-monthly.

All of the boxes mentioned above focus primarily on skincare, and typically only feature a single brand per month. However, there will be months where they will feature a brand that focuses on haircare, makeup, or body care, so there is a chance you could get a non-skincare box.

MSA has reviewed all of these boxes, so you might want to look at past reviews to see if any of them meet your needs. 🙂

    • BeautyFix would be my suggestion. I got my mom a subscription for Mother’s Day and the value was awesome. There were several Full sized products and some samples. The samples were very large. The cost of the full-size item alone made per box well worth it.

    • BeautyFix is my favorite skincare box, but a lot of people like TestTubeBeauty too.

    • -Look fantastic-has high end full size products and I love this box so much! 16.00 if you join for the year and you don’t have to pay for the year amount up front…you still only pay 16 per month and you can cancel anytime.

    • If you love Sunday Riley, they have their own box. It’s half SR products and 25% other brands of glam, and 25% awesome lifestyle products.

If you look up the spoilers here, you’ll definitely try it out!

  46. I used to have Ipsy and LOVED it until bags started not showing up but I still got billed. There is NO phone number for customer service which was the last straw. I cancelled it but I’m not sure which one to choose. I was thinking Birch Box but there are so many!! I’m undecided.

    • I had IPSY as well, got rid of it for the same reason. Now I get Birchbox, much better and customer service is fantastic

    • Try the Allure box! It is the best deal and has really high quality products. I dropped Etsy and Birchbox when I found Allure.

  47. I love Ipsy. I just cancelled Sephora Play. I should have unsubscribed a year ago, since they start recycling products over and over again after about 6 months, and then they end up in the Rewards Bazaar as well.

  48. Hi Liz, just wanted to let you know that Sephora play does give customers points for their account, if a customer receives the wrong beauty box that advertised in their email or if they received duplicate items from.a previous box…. all you have to do is call sephora’s customer service number and provide them with your acvijt information and the products that received duplicate or and the items in the email that your were promised…

  49. There should probably be a note that the regular Ipsy glam bag ships to Canada but the Glam bag plus does not.

  50. 😂😂😂 at 2nd and 3rd rated. I see more complaints on here about Boxy and Allure than any other box! I mean, I write a lot of them myself.😂 I guess it’s true that when standards are set high, we just demand more.😉

    • I just subscribed to allure. My box was shipped out yesterday. I really don’t know what to expect. What box would you suggest out of the 15? I’m just getting into makeup and I’m not that knowledgeable.

      • Yeah, the TestTube is the best IMO. I’ve tried Allure and was dissapointed and I like that TT is mostly full-size products plus I’m in luv with the magazine which they send me a free copy of. Haven’t tried Boxy but have friends who weren’t impressed. I think TT is best bang for buck.

      • Fabfitfun is so AMAZING and worth the money. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it. I have never been disappointed with the items that I receive. I hope you give them a try, you won’t be disappointed for sure.

        • ABSOLUTELY true! I love, and use every single item that was sent to me…my sister put me on to this box*

      • Boxycharm for sure!

      • Allure is my favorite! You get the best products and they are all name brand!

      • For makeup you should get Ipsy & Ipsy plus. For skincare you should get look fantastic. Allure is great also. I don’t have any complaints
