Birchbox sends samples (and sometimes full-sizes) of new and exciting beauty products from top brands for $15/month. Birchbox is one of the original beauty subscription boxes and is a great way to discover new makeup, hair care, and skincare products without breaking the bank. I received one of the two curated Clean Beauty options.
FYI: Starting in June 2020, in addition to the surprise sample box option, there will be two curated boxes offered in greater quantities than the previous curated options: The Clean Beauty Box and the Katia’s Picks box. Get all the details here.

Birchbox Review December 2020
As always, this month’s Birchbox came with an info card that lists the products on the front, with a Birchbox Tip listed on the back.
I am a fan of Glow Recipe, but I have to say, this Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask is my absolute favorite product from the brand. I’ve received this sleep mask as a sample from other boxes and I’ve also repurchased the product full size. This luxurious, buoyant, and breathable sleep mask smells absolutely divine, like a delicious watermelon Jolly Rancher candy. It leaves my skin feeling incredibly hydrated in this jelly-like substance that smoothes over my skin and stays put all night long. I see a visible difference in my face in the morning. My skin doesn’t feel tight or greasy. I look fresh and glowy. I love the scent, consistency, and how lightweight this mask is. Formulated with hyaluronic acid to boost skin’s radiance and soothing amino acid-rich watermelon extract, as well as pore-refining AHAs, that work through the night to gently exfoliate and clarify skin, this mask is literally the definition of beauty sleep.
Beautaniq Beauty Velvet Rose Bud Soothing Hand Cream, 30 ml – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $9.00
Dry and cracked has become the natural state of my hands, thanks to the necessary but compulsive hand washing and sanitizing I’ve been doing this winter. This Beautaniq Beauty Velvet Rose Bud Soothing Hand Cream is a fast-absorbing, non-greasy, and ultra-hydrating solution for my old witch hands. I don’t know if my hands are just incredibly dry, but this cream feels like heaven on my skin. It’s so lightly scented, spreads easily, and doesn’t leave my hands feeling greasy. In general, I’m not a huge fan of rose-scented products, but with how mild and fresh the scent is, I find myself enjoying it. Enriched with shea butter, this vegan, paraben-free, mineral oil-free, soothing hand cream was designed to noticeably soften and nourish hands.
This VERB Ghost Hair Mask is an airy, light, deep conditioning treatment that will de-frizz, nourish, and leave your hair looking shiny without weighing down your locks or leaving any residue left behind. Because it’s weightless and hydrating, this mask is perfect for any hair type. The mask is heavily scented, but the product did leave my hair feeling soft and looking shiny. I really enjoyed the lightweight consistency, but the sample size was a bit small for someone with my head of hair. Formulated with babassu oil and moringa seed oil, the Ghost Hair Mask can deeply hydrate and restore even the most color damaged or unmanageable hair.
Hola Neon Lipstick Balm in Wine Me, 3.5 g – Full Size! Retail Value $17.00
This Hola Neon Lipstick Balm in Wine Me is the perfect lipstick and lip balm hybrid. It’s super comfortable to wear, nourishing like a balm but shiny like a gloss, with the added bonus of pigment like a lipstick. There was no sticky feeling when I applied the product to my lips. It felt nourishing and creamy, and I really enjoyed the natural flush it left behind. I love how totally different this product and formula is from other glosses, lipsticks, and balms I’ve tried before. With the comfortable, wearable feel of a lip balm, the product is perfect for people who want to add a little color to their lips but don’t necessarily want to put on a full lipstick or gloss. Infused with coconut, this product has been formulated for all ages and skin tones.

Nails.INC Nail Polish in FOMO is a rich red with a pearlescent, flawless shine. I love, love, love the color of this polish – so perfect for the holiday season – and I love the name of the shade, FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). I love how this brand has a wide hugging brush that gives me a perfectly smooth application every single time. I never see any bumps or air bubbles when I use this brand. The polish dries so quickly and is almost completely opaque; you basically only need one coat. This is possibly one of the best polishes I’ve ever used. I’m so impressed with this long-lasting formula.
Here is the Nails.INC Nail Polish in FOMO.
Verdict: I really enjoyed this month’s Birchbox! My absolute favorite product has to be the beautiful holiday-inspired Nails.INC Nail Polish in FOMO. The vibrant red and pearl finish really put me in the holiday spirit. I also really love the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask. The unique consistency and the visible results the product yields, plus the delicious scent, make this sleep mask an amazing addition to the box. The Beautaniq Beauty Velvet Rose Bud Soothing Hand Cream is another thoughtfully curated product for a winter box, just in time to save my dry, cracked hands. VERB Ghost Hair Mask is an incredibly effective and lightweight mask that definitely left my hair feeling soft and looking shiny. Lastly, the Hola Neon Lipstick Balm in Wine Me is a wonderful hybrid of a product, nourishing like a balm, shiny like a gloss, and pigmented like a lipstick. It left my lips feeling nourished and looking naturally flushed. With a total retail value of $44.57, you definitely get your money’s worth, since this box only costs $15 per month. Some great products to try that are conveniently delivered right to your door.
