Comments (35)

  1. While I got it anyway, the succulents box was more that double the price listed here. It was $10 plus and extra $5 for delivery. Going to try it and hopefully won’t be disappointed.

  2. The ipsy box is actually $15+ and you get a glam bag with 5 samples very small samples. mostly glittery shadows and face mask.

    • I’ve been getting Ipsy on and off for years (depending on my financial state). Sometimes I get a full-size bottle of nail polish, really good brushes of different types, and don’t get very small samples! My last bag had a nice batch of stuff in it and it costs $12 per month now I think. It was $10 for quite a while.

  3. The customer service @ scentbird was horrible. I cancelled.

    • 100% agree. Short and not so sweet they were

      • I never got my first order, but u site paid for it. Customer service was so exasperating that I finally said fine just keep it. Scentbird needed it more than I did.

  4. Lip Monthly is a Canadian company, they never ship the bags! I had to threaten them to get mine and it took 2 1/2 months after I paid. Products were decent for the price, I got Manna Kadar Lip Balm that retails for $22 on their site, so that alone was worth the price of the bag. I just didn’t trust the company to be consistent.

    • Hey hey. I’ve always have gotten my box. Two of them. Now they charged me for two boxes of the same thing this month.

  5. MissTigerlilly good thing I read the comments section, I was going to sign up for it … it seemed kind of too good to be true….

  6. The FaceTory photo is misleading, it should only show 4 masks at this price point.

  7. Sad to see Liz’s arm in the Pura Vida post! I miss her and her reviews! I hope she, Eric, and Buckles are well. They are very missed and I wish them well.

  8. It is really wrong to put Lip Monthly in a post labeled “Reader’s Choice,” even if it is in the ‘other’ category. Both the customer service & product quality for that box are absolutely abysmal.

    • I agree. The Dirty Little Secrets product is even featured in the photo. Yuck.

  9. I was surprised that Sips by tea was included in this list. I was interested, but when I read the review and comments well… I didn’t see a single positive comment. Seems like a lot of people have been scammed, there seems to be no customer service at all, and the value isn’t even equal to what you are paying. Pretty lousy if you ask me. Not worth the risk.

    • Hi Lynn, thanks for drawing attention to this! I might have been interested in it asa gift for my tea-loving brother, but your reference to the past review was a big wake-up call for me. Thank you. I hope those poor commenters eventually received their tea or refunds.

      • We wanted to check in with you and make sure you could feel confident trying our service. Our customer support team works to respond to all messages within 48 hours. We started Sips by to make discovering tea fun, personalized, and affordable. Samples and shipping from individual brands can be expensive – we want to offer an option for people to try different teas personalized to their preferences before purchasing a full-sized box. We’d love for you to try Sips by if you’re interested! You can always reach us at tealover @ if you have any questions. Cheers!

    • I was surprised to come across this comment about Sips by – I’ve been a subscriber for over a year and have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. It’s opened my eyes to so many new teas I never otherwise would’ve tried, and customer service has been friendly and helpful with special requests.

  10. I’m still extremely upset & depressed that Graze stopped shipping to USA. I’ve got a few major Medical issues & having food/snacks organized is very difficult for me. I fell hard for all Graze products! They were nutritious, so portable, scrumptious and varied for differing palates & diets. I keep hoping if others join me in protesting they could see an adequate market here. I think some larger bags of snacks r available at perhaps Target or Walgreens but not the ones I want & the small size, singe packs. Wah! 8=((

    • I saw small size graze packs sold on 7-11, they had like 3 or more variants. Forgot the price but I think it’s under $5.

    • Completely agree! I absolutely loved graze. They had so many great snacks. My impression was that they essentially just stopped their subscription service in the states (maybe all together) and instead just sold a few things in large chain stores. I know many people were upset because it was unexpected and out of the blue, with no formal announcement. Just “hey, we aren’t shipping to your area anymore” only it was the entire US. As much as I loved their product, I wouldn’t buy it now even if I did see it in a store somewhere. I wish there was something else like them though.

  11. Is there anything good out there for teenage boys? He is not a little kid anymore. And I was really hoping to find a box he would enjoy.

    • Briskell has a men’s skin care sample lot that has many products that is like$5.95 shipping with a retail$30 or more. I purchased it for one of my boys last month. It was really nice. The products smell great and didn’t irritate his sensitive skin.

    • My 17 year old LOVES his Universal Yuma subscription – snacks from all over the world, trivia, and recipes. Plenty of goodies to share!

    • Crayfish had a tech box that my 13 and 14yr is like.

      • Cratejoy, sorry!

  12. Started getting Ipsy box @ 6 months ago, really like the products PLUS a cosmetic bag every month. One month I just dropped the whole bag in my suitcase for trip I was taking – mascara, eyeliner, shadow, cologne! I get to try some higher end products that I may not normally buy, but will look for now!
Been getting Wal-Mart box for almost 2 years- all practical items that I can buy at Wal-Mart

  13. What happened to the Free Shipping for the Target Beauty Box???? It Now says that it will only ship free with a $25.00 order!! Well I guess No more Target Beauty Boxes for me.

    • I believe it is always that way with the previous month’s box (if it is still available). The current month’s box is free to ship with no restrictions. Make sure you are viewing the current month’s box.

    • Just ordered mine the shipping was still free maybe call customer service and ask why

    • I just ordered the Target box and it was free shipping

      • I was surprised to see Dollar Shave box on here , I tried it and the $5 start up is worth it , you get little samples but then after that they take $45.99 out of your account and send you the same stuff and it’s not much larger then the stuff that you received for the $5 and it wasn’t worth it to me , so I canceled with no problem.

    • It says that and then when your about to check out it should be free shipping.

    • If you have a Target card they will ship free.

    • The Target box died.
