The Cost: $12.00 per month. Subscribe here!

What Our Readers Say:

I have to hand it to Ipsy, the quality and consistency is top notch. I pause every so often to avoid piling up too much stuff, but I always go back eventually.” – Mari

Ipsy is amazing. It’s only 12 dollars a month you get a cute and different make up bag every month with your full size and sample size make up and it’s a way to try new high end make up without spending a ton of money at the stores. You can see if you even like the product before purchasing a full size item. I love my Ipsy subscriptions.” – Vivian

Great value for under $15. I loved to try all the different products and they had a great selection.” – Vi LeBreton

About the Box: Topping the list of affordable subscriptions for the 4th year in a row is IPSY Glam Bag.

This monthly beauty subscription box is set at a great entry-level price point, but don’t get it twisted: Each month, you’ll receive a versatile selection of high-quality products. The selection mainly focuses around skincare and makeup, and subscribers can choose one included item each month — the rest is a surprise, but the curators pay attention to your preferences.

Even if IPSY was twice as expensive, we’d gush about the quality of their curation. Of course, it is incredibly affordable (that’s why it’s a perennial favorite), and subscribers can even get free products by referring friends.

IPSY Glam Bag is our top cheap subscription box overall, and whether you’re buying it for yourself or as a gift, it’s a top-notch option. The IPSY Glam Bag Plus is also worth a look, though it falls outside of our $15 threshold.

While I got it anyway, the succulents box was more that double the price listed here. It was $10 plus and extra $5 for delivery. Going to try it and hopefully won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been getting Ipsy on and off for years (depending on my financial state). Sometimes I get a full-size bottle of nail polish, really good brushes of different types, and don’t get very small samples! My last bag had a nice batch of stuff in it and it costs $12 per month now I think. It was $10 for quite a while.

I never got my first order, but u site paid for it. Customer service was so exasperating that I finally said fine just keep it. Scentbird needed it more than I did.

Kathleen LaFratta

Lip Monthly is a Canadian company, they never ship the bags! I had to threaten them to get mine and it took 2 1/2 months after I paid. Products were decent for the price, I got Manna Kadar Lip Balm that retails for $22 on their site, so that alone was worth the price of the bag. I just didn’t trust the company to be consistent.

I was surprised that Sips by tea was included in this list. I was interested, but when I read the review and comments well… I didn’t see a single positive comment. Seems like a lot of people have been scammed, there seems to be no customer service at all, and the value isn’t even equal to what you are paying. Pretty lousy if you ask me. Not worth the risk.

I know I’m replying to an old post, but I have been a subscriber for over a year and haven’t had any problems. My box is delivered each month and I have enjoyed tasting all the teas. The teas are high quality, fresh and in sufficient quantity for multiple cups.

I really like the personal shopper aspect too. I get teas that I’m interested in and can alter my profile with my ratings of the teas. Or, I can explore and get something different if I want. Plus each tea has a great description of the tea and how to brew.

If you like tea, give Sipsby a try. You can even skip a month if desired.

I was surprised to come across this comment about Sips by – I’ve been a subscriber for over a year and have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. It’s opened my eyes to so many new teas I never otherwise would’ve tried, and customer service has been friendly and helpful with special requests.

I’m still extremely upset & depressed that Graze stopped shipping to USA. I’ve got a few major Medical issues & having food/snacks organized is very difficult for me. I fell hard for all Graze products! They were nutritious, so portable, scrumptious and varied for differing palates & diets. I keep hoping if others join me in protesting they could see an adequate market here. I think some larger bags of snacks r available at perhaps Target or Walgreens but not the ones I want & the small size, singe packs. Wah! 8=((

Completely agree! I absolutely loved graze. They had so many great snacks. My impression was that they essentially just stopped their subscription service in the states (maybe all together) and instead just sold a few things in large chain stores. I know many people were upset because it was unexpected and out of the blue, with no formal announcement. Just “hey, we aren’t shipping to your area anymore” only it was the entire US. As much as I loved their product, I wouldn’t buy it now even if I did see it in a store somewhere. I wish there was something else like them though.

I saw small size graze packs sold on 7-11, they had like 3 or more variants. Forgot the price but I think it’s under $5.

I was surprised to see Dollar Shave box on here , I tried it and the $5 start up is worth it , you get little samples but then after that they take $45.99 out of your account and send you the same stuff and it’s not much larger then the stuff that you received for the $5 and it wasn’t worth it to me , so I canceled with no problem.
