February Theme

Now that Wellness Month is officially a wrap, we're ready to jump into February! In addition to our regular news, deals, and review posts, we'll be bringing you more roundups and editors picks of gifts ideas for your Valentine or Galentine. And because Valentine's Day always gets us nostalgic for exchanging paper Valentines in school, we've got a few new kids subscription box reviews coming your way from our remote review team.

Did someone say Galentine's Day? It's our favorite holiday (aside from Better Than Black Friday, of course) because it's all about celebrating our friends. Here at MSA, we celebrate Galentine's Day each year with a party full of giveaways - read more about MSA Galentine's Day here! We're officially inviting you to be our Galentine, so grab some waffles and get ready for the giveaways!

Suggestions for future themes:

-organizing – I’d love to see how people store/organize their stash of things (eg beauty products, skincare, paper goods…) they get from boxes.

– sub box items in the wild – eg, what are some of the more clever ways people put to use some of the items they get in their boxes? it doesn’t even necessarily need to focus on items received that month. Bonus points if there’s a way for commenters to share a photo with their own examples!

-This next idea could be combined with any of the above topics, but its a topic that I’m really passionate about, so I hope it can be included somewhere: ways to keep any items that you get in a box but don’t like out of the waste stream (eg. Donate (provide examples of types of places, and that goes well beyond goodwill sorts of places) or upcycle. No matter how ugly something is, or how poorly its made, as long as it’s not a safety risk, someone, somewhere can find a use for it – sometimes just by stripping it down to its individual parts and using those. (@MSA If you want more ideas on that topic, contact me).

-eco-friendly / fair trade / boxes that give back…

I second your idea about keeping unwanted items out of the waste stream. I’m passionate about that too. All your ideas are great.

Along that line, I would like to see an article on project beauty share and other similar charities for unwanted beauty items.
