Announcing Wellness Month at MSA!

MSA Wellness Month Banner

Hi there! I’m Emily. I’ve been a part of the MSA team since 2016, mostly behind the scenes (though I have done a few reviews over the years). I work mostly in the background helping Liz and the team produce the best content for you, our readers. I want to reach out and talk to you more in 2020, to let you know what we’re excited about and what we’ll be working on for you in the coming year!

We’re kicking off something new by declaring the next 4 weeks to be Wellness Month here at MSA! A new year doesn’t mean you need to make a new you (you’re great) but it can be the motivation you need to try that thing you’ve always wanted to try. We’ll be taking a special look at wellness-related subscriptions that can help kick off your goals. Wellness means something different to everyone, but it should be whatever makes you feel better! Maybe you’re hoping to add more smoothies or healthy meals to your routine or want learn to cook. Maybe you’re hoping to try a new routine or activity. Or maybe it’s time to find that vitamin your mom told you should be taking.

Not quite sure where to start or nervous about starting something new? We’re here to try things for you! We’ll be seeing what it’s like to try a vegan meal kit every week for a month or what life is like when you drink a smoothie every single day for 4 straight weeks. Our team will be sharing what boxes they're picking for their own 2020 goals and even trying out some new products together! (Don’t worry, our regular daily box reviews aren’t going anywhere!)

But we need your help, too! Get ready to tell us what subscriptions and services you use to make your life easier. We want to hear about your experiences with things like digital subscriptions and other services we haven't tried yet. Do you have a fitness or meditation app you love? Look for more posts in January where we ask for YOUR opinions - we want you to step up and be the experts so we can share your thoughts with readers like you.

We’re so excited for 2020 where we can learn more from you and do more for you, our MSA community!

I just opened my first Silk + Sonder wellness journal/planner, and I think it’s just what I need for wellness goals. Looking forward to the annual sub I purchased!

I would like to see Muse Illuminate reviewed.

For me personally my 2020 intentions involve managing and eliminating clutter in my space and my time. I am cancelling all my sub boxes so I can finally stop or at least dramatically reduce the accumulation of stuff. I will still check MSA. I have three annual subs that will keep coming until the middle of 2020 and I love to see the spoilers and reviews. I will see how many things come in the boxes that I really have to have enough to swap for them or buy them.

Happy New Year MSA!

I love this idea! Interested in healthy food/cooking subscription boxes (i.e. quality, difficulty, cost). Especially those that focus on vegetarian or fish meals. And the mental and spiritual health boxes too. Looking forward to it Emily!

Thanks Tracey! We’ll have more food/cooking reviews for you this month plus lists that cover meal kits for special diets. I hoping to learn about more mental and spiritual health boxes too!

I LOVE this idea because I am so overloaded with cosmetics that I’m seriously contemplating unsubscribing to a couple of them. I’m a serious box subscriber, thanks to MSA. But now I do want wellness boxes to replace some of my cosmetic boxes. I only subscribe to two lifestyle/wellness boxes: Yogi Surprise (longterm subscriber) and Goddess Provisions (more recent subscriber). Yogi Surprise is a consistently excellent wellness box for me. I rate all my boxes from 1 to 10 each month, and Yogi Surprise almost always rates in the excellent category. Please find and recommend more boxes like Yogi Surprise. I would love it if you could share boxes you think focus on wellness, meditation, yoga and exercise. Thank you!

Thank you so much, Emmy Lou! Love that you rate your boxes each month – that’s so smart and organized. I’m excited to take your suggestion to look for and share more wellness, mediation, yoga, and exercise boxes to the team!

I signed up for 6 months of Universal Yums to try other snacks out of my comfort zone. It’s something totally new to me.
