White Cat Eye Sunglasses - Retail Value Unavailable

Cat eye style sunglasses are incredibly timeless. I have been in love with them since I was a teen and could never find vintage ones that fit me due to my full face aka my pumpkin head. Fortunately for me (and other big headed ladies), cat eyes are all the rage and easy to find these days. This pair has a unique double wing that almost gives an eye last quality. The material is a lightweight plastic, so these won’t be cumbersome to wear. Style these with your favorite bikini at the beach or with a slick suit at the office! You will get compliments for these no matter the setting! Here I wore mine with a tropical pineapple dress from my last Trunk Club review and a jacket from my Modcloth Stylist Surprise box!

Gold Cut Out Stack Bangles - Retail Value Unavailable

You just can’t go wrong with an arm of stacked bangles, am I right? These eternally stylish bracelets look great together or stacked with other bangles in a variety of styles, colors, size, and materials for a more complex look. These bangles are made of a lightweight material. The metal bends a bit and isn’t an extremely high quality. Regardless, these bracelets are cute as can be and will look great with casual or formal outfits alike!

40s Style Hair Net - Retail Value Unavailable

The Pinup Sub- Culture absolutely loves retro crocheted hair nets. Often you see these paired with updos and Victory Rolls. Personally, only hair styling I have ever somewhat excelled at (and that is questionable) was ratting hair into a Tracy Turnblad bouffant or Priscilla Presley beehive. I don’t even have patience (or the hair these days) for such hair endeavors. The aftermath of spending hours saturating my hair in conditioner to comb it out haunts me and makes me want to avoid these hairstyles.  The net has lots of stretch and can be worn to enclose all your hair in the back. Pinup in a Pack even included bobby pins for styling with the net. I opted to wear this as a slouchy beret. This piece could work great for fall looks. I imagine wearing it with a mustard yellow mock turtleneck, plaid skirt, knee socks, loafers, and a black biker jacket. It is like a Judy Funny from Doug meets Cher Horowitz from Clueless look, right? I paired the hair net with a nightie/dress I recently reviewed for CHC Vintage, black moto jacket from a previous Shoedazzle review, and heels from ShoeDazzle (review coming soon)!

Verdict: This month’s Pinup in a Pack included some cute retro pieces harkening back to the 40s and 50s. I wasn’t in love with this month’s box like I was with last month’s selections in the June box, but I still appreciate the pieces! The white sunglasses may be my favorite piece from the box. I liked the gold bangles, but they weren’t the highest quality. I found I have to be careful with them since they can snag clothes in instances. These pieces would be great to wear to a summer car show or for everyday vintage-inspired ensembles!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, the July box is not available, but you can find similar pieces at Pinup in a Pack. Also, you can sign up for the September box now!

Value Breakdown: This box is $19.99 and that includes free shipping. Three items are included in each box making their estimated value around $6.66 each.

I think that is a snood and all your hair in the back, goes into it. Think “Little Women” hair.

Yup. It is a snood. I opted not to put my hair in it. I wanted to wear it differentiy. Thanks again for reading my review! 😊
