ShoeDazzle July 2018 Review

This month’s order did not include the customary invoice.

It did, however, include this $100 wine voucher from NakedWines.com. This is perfect to stock up for summer dinner parties, graduation parties, and other summer get togethers!

Plus Size Fringe Sleeve Dress in Black Size 2x

Plus Size Fringe Sleeve Dress in Black, Size 2x—Retail Value $64.95, VIP Price $44.95

I was torn between this dress and another item, but my boyfriend coaxed me into getting this number. I am glad he did because I am living my Ke$ha meets Suzie Quatro fantasy! I went with a 2x this month since the overalls from last month were a bit too big. This 2x fits like a glove due to the ultra-stretchy fabric. I opted to wear this piece with my favorite embellished platform sandals and a tiger print bracelet I recently got at Down at LuLu’s in Oakland, California. This dress will bring out your wild child vibes this summer going into cold weather months if paired with patterned tights and cowboy ankle booties. After all, papa was a rodeo and mama was a rock’n’roll band and this ensemble lets everyone know!

Classic Moto Jacket in Black, Size 2x—Retail Value $70.95, Retail Value $49.95

It came to my attention that my go-to faux leather biker jacket is a bit oversized on me these days. I prefer my jackets to be far more fitted, but the one I had was a better option for winter to wear with a thick sweater and not for summer in the Bay Area! I opted to get this jacket in a 2x, afraid a 1x would be too tight. This jacket fits perfectly zipped up, but I prefer wearing my jacket open and feel a 1x would be ideal for that skin-tight style I love. This jacket is made of a soft pleather material that provides some stretch. The cost of this jacket makes it a great value due to the number of ways you can wear this piece! You can pair it with a black dress, open-toed heels, and cat eyes for a Mary Weiss meets Joan Jett look like I did. This would be great also with jeans and a t-shirt for an easy going, but tough babe ensemble or with a button down, trousers, heels, and a neck scarf for a fiercely chic office look. The possibilities are endless!

Verdict: July’s ShoeDazzle selections were fantastic! These classic black pieces are amazing values due to their versatility. I love stretching a buck and getting pieces that will provide a lot of wear, and both of these pieces will be staples for me. The jacket is the best value of the two since I can wear it for any occasion, but that dress will get a lot of wear at drag and rock shows alike, I sense! I rarely struggle to find a piece from Shoedazzle’s plus selection, but my main complaint always is that I want their range to be as extensive as their straight size options are. It keeps improving, though, and I am eager for the day that the plus selections are just as comprehensive and brimming with pieces to choose from!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, both options are still available!

LIMITED TIME DEAL: New VIP Members, get your first look for $10! No code needed, just use this link!

Value Breakdown: The dress and jacket have a total retail of $135.90 and a VIP total of $94.90. That's a $41 savings and 30% VIP discount!

I hear you on the sizing…I would like to see straight and plus stop being separated and the size range just go straight through from XXS to 3XL, with the majority of the styles being available in all the sizes.

LIVING. You actually make the clothing look like it’s higher quality than the Shoedazzle website does, lol. They ought to hire you!

I just signed up, specifically to get the same dress. They didn’t have it in XL, so I’m rolling the dice the 1x will fit on the looser side. 🙂

Your boyfriend deserves props for nudging you to order that dress- you look great in it!! The jacket fits perfectly, too.

Side note: I didn’t realize any of the MSA reviewers are based in the West Coast, let alone Oakland! Awesome to see a local, women-owned business mentioned-Lulu’s is the best!!

Awe, he is a good egg! And thanks! I loved both pieces!

And, A.M., I actually am not based in the Bay, but I visit there annually for the Burger Boogaloo. I have a ton of friends out there and will forever support Down at LuLu’s. I am friends with the previous owner, Tina! I miss seeing her when I visit!
