Splendid Spoon Adds Desserts + Snacks for That Mid-Day Slump

Want to hear something splendid? Splendid Spoon is adding something sweet to its line-up to help get you through the afternoon!

For those who aren't familiar with the food subscription service, Splendid Spoon is all about healthy eating with completely plant-based soups, noodle dishes, and more. Vegetarian and vegan-friendly, the brand sends out five days of meals every week, and lets you customize which meals you want them to send.

But until now those meals have not included desserts and snacks. That's where their new partnership with Urban Remedy comes in.

The plan is to "bring you a healthier spin on desserts and snacks," according to the folks at Splendid Spoon. "It’s all the flavor you love from a dessert or snack without the questionable ingredients you don’t," they add.

So that means you can get things like "sun squares," which are essentially the Splendid Spoon take on peanut butter cups but healthier. They're made from cacao powder instead of the standard chocolate.

You can also get low-sugar, high-protein, superfood bars that you can pop in your bag for a quick snack on the go or throw in your desk drawer to eat when you have those mid-afternoon cravings.

The desserts and snacks are not available a la carte — you'll have to sign up for a Splendid Spoon subscription and add them on as extras if this post has made you hungry. Right now the brand is offering $20 off each of the first three boxes in a subscription for a total of $60 in savings.
