I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

  1. I’d love to see Jimmy Beans knitting subscription reviewed! It seems to me that they’re something slightly different with their box in that it’s a 3 month KAL for the first group this year. I haven’t seen what they’re going to move on to in April.

  2. The Skin Care Subscription Box by Hanna Herbals on Etsy. She’s also on CrateJoy, but Etsy is ten dollars cheaper.

  3. Does anyone recommend a planner sub box? The boxes I find here are out of business or more geared to cards.

    • I’m not a planner person, but I know there are tons of planner subscription boxes on Etsy. There are usually plenty of pictures and reviews so you can see if it’s something you might like. As for MSA boxes, have you tried Boho Berry?

  4. Please, please, please! Look into “Gifts from the Universe” monthly subscription box. I would love to see it reviewed and also added to the swap site.

    • That sounds intriguing! I tried looking that up and couldn’t find it, although I did find similar-sounding boxes. Is that the exact name?

      • I googled that box name and also had a really hard time finding anything. But it turns out the url is just the name, giftsfromtheuniverse (dot) com.

I assumed it had to do with crystals given its appearance in the comments for this box, but unfortunately (for me) no. Here’s what their FAQ says

“What is a “Gifts from the Universe” box?
“Each Gifts from the Universe box contains 3 carefully chosen items, customized with messages of empowerment, life’s beauty, and the infinite possibilities that exist for your growth and happiness. These items may include, but aren’t limited to: coffee mugs, candles, journals, essential oil bath bombs, and the like. Inside each box there is also a specially chosen Note from the Universe printed on cardstock, suitable for framing or gifting.”

      • Oops. When I said “given its appearance here” I mistaken was confused about which post I was reading. Ignore that part. It’s been a long day!

      • I have received 2 boxes now. The first one included a rug (which I am drying to swap!!). How often do you get a rug in a swap box? I am trying to remember the other items. There were some multichrome silverware which I absolutely love and was on my watch list on Amazon. I am trying to remember the third item, and then of course the frameable card, and there was also “water in a box” because they are all about sustainability. The second month included a beautiful clear crystal with an angel inside and it says something like, “Ask and the Universe will answer,” or something like that. There was also a bamboo coffee mug – very nice, but not my style, and I would also love to swap it! And there was tea, and I’m not a tea drinker, but I am giving it to a coworker who loves tea and is retiring. One of the teas is named “New Beginnings,” so I thought it was apropo. Also, a portion of all the box sales go to Charity: water. And it comes in beautiful boxes. The December box was covered in poinsettias. There is really nothing bad that I can say about the box except that most of the items themselves don’t really seem to be my style so far, but I know that people who love lifestyle boxes would love this. It does *not* include any beauty, at least to my knowledge.
