Pop Shop America Monthly Print Box April 2018 Review
Each box comes with a card listing the box’s contents and the total retail value with a handwritten greeting on the back. This month's total value is estimated to be $60.00.
A quick note before I dive into the products: I didn't expect to receive the Earring of the Month Box, as last month I received the Monthly Print Box. My ears aren't pierced but I still rock clip-on earrings almost daily, and can certainly appreciate a good accessory, but I ultimately couldn't try these earrings on. (I held 'em up to my ears for a full viewing effect!)
Blue and Grey Tassel Dangly Earrings – Retail Value $28.00
I swooned over these the moment I pulled them out of the box. I've been lusting for a pair of tassel earrings for a while, but have had trouble finding good clip-on pairs on Etsy. All of my Etsy browsings has made it clear that $28.00 is a pretty standard price point for this type of style, so their value is right on.
Held up to my ears for effect. 😊 They're a wonderful length and a fantastic color. They're truly the kind of earrings that complete and elevate an outfit! They're also ridiculously lightweight, so there are no worries of earlobe-soreness while wearing these blue beauties.
Laser-Cut Pineapple Stud Earrings – Estimated Value $5.00
Onto the second pair of earrings! These weren't as thrilling as the beautiful tassels, unfortunately, as I've seen my fill of laser-cut wooden earrings all over Etsy. Their production value is super low, so I wouldn't estimate these having a retail value of more than $5.00. They're certainly cute, however!
I think the value of these earrings could have been upped if they came with better backings. The silver stud backings they have aren't super comfortable, and often can pinch easily (from what I remember of my earring-wearing days!) I liked this pineapple design more than the next, which was...
Laser-Cut Mountain Stud Earrings – Estimated Value $5.00
A duo of wooden mountains! This design is a little ho-hum—certainly not as whimsical as a pair of pineapples, in my opinion. They're the same size as the previous pair, however, and have the same metal backing, as well.
Look at these tiny beebs! These studs would be a perfect gift for the outdoor enthusiasts in your life. I just happen to like my earrings to be more colorful, with a bit more flash and panache!
Rainbow Bead Tassel Bracelet – Buy a set of 10 for $4.80
This last accessory was such a delightful surprise! It's very delicate, so if you're a clumsy jewelry-wearer like I am, tread lightly! I love the delicate look, though, and its colors are so joyous and bright.
I also love that its dangly design is right in step with the tassel earrings I received this month!
Verdict: Even though I wasn't expecting the Earring of the Month box, I was very much pleased with it! While I can't wear the earrings myself, I know they'll make perfect gifts for other accessory-lovers in my life. (Especially those blue tassel ones, hooooo boy!) Pop Shop America does a great job in curating unique, colorful items that vibe well together, and I found this box to be of much better value than the Monthly Print Box I received last month.
