Allure Beauty Box Review – November 2017 + $5 Coupon

Did anyone else have a bad reaction to the Fresh black tea age delay serum in some variations of the box? I used it two weeks ago and my eye area has been red and cracked ever since. I wrote a review on Sephora but it seems they want to keep things quiet.

I am so disappointed with this better than black Friday deal. My November box was missing the hey honey and the new subscriber gift and the mascara was dried out. I still haven’t gotten my December box or the replacement items from November. And they still haven’t shipped my beauty thrills box. I had to call 3x and they don’t have any information really. Just said that the warehouse and usps lost a truck.

I signed up during Black Friday week and thought the Nov box was sold out and assumed I’d just start with Dec which was fine with me. Just got my first box today and it’s def not the Dec box! It has:

*Unicorn brush (too cute!)
*Dhc deep cleansing oil
*Fresh black tea age delay eye concentrate
*Wander lipstick
*Estee Lauder Sumptuous infinite mascara

I’m not sure how I feel about this. I’m a new subscriber.When is the Dec box due to arrive? Will it be after Xmas? Can anyone tell me? TIA

Literally just got my box after being told it was shipped weeks ago. Never received the tracking information, and still haven’t received my “mystery gift”. Was just told it hasn’t even been picked or shipped yet so… that’s nice.

I got the unicorn crease brush which is adorable (the only thing I really wanted in the box), a neck cream (??), the hello honey serum, a lipstick, Cargo water-resistant brush in Bali (love it), and a lip scrub.

Overall I’m disappointed because I wanted the YSL primer and the Juice lip crayon. No need for a lip scrub or neck cream. The worst part was the customer service. Weeks of going back and forth being told it was shipped, not shipped, shipped, but then never any tracking info and then today when I called to ask why I wasn’t charged for the December box they for some reason suspended my account. Umm… ok? I literally subscribed just to get the December Jaclyn Hill box and now I’m worried that I’m going to get some leftover crap like I clearly did this month and get it in January.

I’ve never had issues like this with any other subscription box and I have them all… definitely may not be worth the extra $5 if they can’t even get their crap together.

I finally received my first Allure Beauty Box and I was very pleased with it. I did read in another post that the November boxes might not all be the same, so I will write down below what I received below.

Did anyone else not receive the booklet?
I was looking forward to the eye shadow for my daughter and the Too Cool cream and mask for myself.
I received the unicorn brush (it’s so pretty that I don’t want to use it), dr. brandt which I love, a Laritzy lip pencil in cabernet, Skin & Company eye concentrate which is great, Embryolisse moisturizer, the Juice Beauty lip crayon (loving the full size), and the Hey Honey facial serum.
It feel that I received quite a bit, esp with the 2 full-size products along with the unicorn brush. I just wish that I had gotten the booklet bc they usually have good promo codes.

I just received my box today. I subscribed on 11/3 and never received any tracking info. I got Juice beauty lip crayon (Malibu), unicorn crease brush, YSL blur primer, hey honey good morning serum, skin & co roma truffle eye cream, dr. brandt pore derambrasion, and briogeo blow dry perfection cream. I’m happy with this box!!!

Hi Liz – thanks for always putting out such great reviews. I subscribe to several boxes and was just wondering how everyone stores their products. Needing ideas so I can keep track of items in a more organized fashion. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Hey…I was on the Allure website and noticed the contents of the November box has changed yet again. LOL! Still repeats but great products!

I received a variant with Yves Saint Laurent primer – which I adore – and Dr. Brandt, Brigeo and Skin & Co. products. I was hoping to try the Too Cool for School products, but with the primer, this definitely works for me!

I received mine today. Same one as LIz and since I wanted that blue eyeshadow for addition to my pallet, I fell super relieved.
However, my brush came broken and had to call CS and ask for a replacement. She was nice and told me that it’s not out of stock yet, so I should have received it in a month.
So just cross my finger for it.

So looking at this box on the website… is it possible that you WONT get the juice beauty crayon? That would be super sad because that is what I wanted. It has been replaced by a Wander lipstick.

I got the variant box, which was nice but definitely not as fun as this one! I’m guessing that’s because I subscribed after the eyeshadow pan offer was over. I thought everything was good EXCEPT that truffle eye stuff smelled soooooooo gross, I really regretted wearing it to bed instead of getting up and doing other things that would detract from it.

I just subscribed to allure on the 3rd of this month and still have not received my box or a shipping email.. NOTHING. When I called CS all they can tell me is that it is in their warehouse waiting to be shipped and that’s all the info they can give me. Starting to get a little concerned and wonder if I’ll ever receive my box! Never mind the blush which I know takes SEVERAL weeks to ship! Are any other new subscribers having this problem??

I am happy that this is the variation I received. Mainly because of the Doucce eyeshadow because when I signed up, the Doucce eyeshadow pallete was the sign up gift with the promise of more Doucce eyeshadow throughout the year. Apparently there was one a month or two prior to my signing with Allure. Now that they are doing the Tarte blush, I’m guessing this is the second and last Doucce eyeshadow they will be sending. This really is a great box! The skincare is mine & the make up is my daughters. However, I am not liking how the Too Cool For School Egg Mellow cream smells… That being said, it is a great product & I will use it but not alone. For those of you that can smell it, try applying a few drops of facial oil a few minutes after the egg mellow cream.

I’m sure the products are great however I haven’t received my October box yet….probably won’t get my November either. I cancelled my membership. They keep telling me they will notify me when it ships……i’m not impressed.

I’ve been really on the fence with the idea of signing up for this box, for years now. Most recently, because of some of the comments that I read about this subscription, every month.
After seeing the items that are reportedly going to be in the upcoming December box, and seeing the TCFS items in this months box, I just signed up via Amazon. Seeing how simple Amazon makes it to cancel subscriptions like this one if I ever decide to, makes me feel very confident in my decision.
I can’t wait to get my first box this month!

For those of you who love the doucce palette, fitfabfun gave a spoiler of a full size one in their winter box. I’m thinking of getting it just for more colors to swap and a larger palette to use when I want more options!

Thanks for the idea to use the Hey Honey serum as a primer! I’ve been searching (and sampling) so many different primers and none have worked so far. I’ll give this a try! Great tip 🙂

I actually used the mask last night and honestly it wasn’t life changing.

Got my box yesterday and loved it! Best Allure box I received to date. I used the mask last night and it was so good. I love masks that don’t require me to rinse them off. After about 30 minutes I took it off and wiped the mask all over my body hahaha! It smelled really good and I felt good after. Did not even use a moisturizer after I took of the mask. This morning my face looked refreshed – and felt good.

I love this box. Those Too Cool for School products are great.

I am totally disappointed by my box as I have been a subscriber, since May or June. As other comments have been made on another Allure post, my stuff had some repeat items from earlier boxes. It would have been nice if they had replaced stuff that they hadn’t offered before. I don’t understand the logic of who gets what, which destroys customer loyalty. I appreciate MSA and all their contributions, but what Allure sent to review is a bit misleading to the audience especially if people found out what they received in place of it.

I love love love this mask. It’s one I use all the time and it is great for middle-aged skin. When I signed up, it took FOREVER to get the first box and the promo item.i think it finally arrived a week before the second box. However, as has been said, once you are in, it seems to go very smoothly. The weirdness getting things started is annoying: you are a box sub company. Mailing things in a timely fashion is one of tbe primary things you do. Why was it so hard?

I didnt receive this box, which it sounds like im the only person happy about it lol. I didnt receive the variation showed either, which im also happy about. My mom was here when I opened my box so I immediately lost my brush lol. Most of this box will be used as stocking stuffers. I love the juice beauty crayon and the YSL primer (this stuff is amazing!). Yesterday I got the email for my october box, for anyone wondering about it. I signed up at the end of october when it was half off, so you should be getting yours soon. All of my october box will also be stocking stuffers, I only signed up for the blush. Sticking around though because dec box interests me. After that I will decide if I want to keep this one. Not to worried about canceling though as it wont be a problem since my card expires in feb ha.
