Now, onto the items!

Look-fantastic-february-2017-0017

The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA - FULL SIZE! Value $5.80

(Good to know for swaps - this item has an inner foil seal.)

Look-fantastic-february-2017-0020

This face cream goes on white and takes a little effort to rub it in (kind of like a sunscreen), but once it is absorbed it is lovely. It's oil-free, vegan, and in general, I'm really impressed with the ingredients - especially given the price!

Look-fantastic-february-2017-0027

this works Stress Check Breathe In - 5 ml Value $12.80

Look-fantastic-february-2017-0028

This is an essential oil blend (Eucalyptus, Frankincense, and Lavender), designed to help you relax and de-stress. You apply it to your wrists and take 5 deep breaths. I like this for a pre-bedtime routine, too.

Model Co EyeLites Eyeshadow in St Barts - FULL SIZE? Value $19

There's no size listed on this liquid eyeshadow, but I think it is the full-size version.

Look-fantastic-february-2017-0030

The formula is impressive. It's a liquid that dries almost immediately, so you don't have to worry about fall out. And the pigment and shimmer are gorgeous, too. Here it is swatched:

Look-fantastic-february-2017-0031 Look-fantastic-february-2017-0022

MyVitamins Catwalk Queen - Value $9

Look-fantastic-february-2017-0024

Beauty vitamins seem to be popping up in subscription boxes lately! This blend includes biotin, which is supposed to be great for your hair, plus a mix of other vitamins. (You take 2 tablets a day, so this is a 15-day bottle.)

Look-fantastic-february-2017-0025

Polaar Icy Magic Instant Eye Contour Energiser - FULL SIZE! Value $26.50

Look-fantastic-february-2017-0026

I'm always excited to try any beauty product with the word "instant" in the name!

This has a metal rollerball applicator, so it's instantly cool on your skin, and the formula is light and refreshing, too. I didn't notice any instant results on my undereye area, but it might be more dramatic to use on a day when I didn't get nearly enough sleep!

Look-fantastic-february-2017-0021

Borghese Brightening Mud Mask for Face and Body - .89 oz Value $6.25

This pale green mask felt very luxe on, and left my skin feeling soft and clean after. (You only have to wear it for 5-10 minutes.)

And this box includes the latest issue of  Elle UK Magazine:

Look-fantastic-february-2017-0014

Value $5

Look-fantastic-february-2017-0015 Look-fantastic-february-2017-0016

I love getting this mini mag with the box - it's a fun extra, and the size is great for throwing in your purse, too.

The Verdict: This month's box has a value of about $84 - I think that's amazing for a $22 beauty box shipped from overseas! (And you can get the $15 a box annual price without having to pay the full amount up front, too.)

The brands, sample sizes, and packaging are great - I really love this box!

What do you think of the Look Fantastic Beauty Box February box? Do you like getting beauty vitamins in boxes?

Liz-You should add The Ordinary to your list of Black Friday Deals..they had some pretty awesome stuff last year. The main company is Deciem-but they have different product lines! Just an FYI.

The Ordinary doesn’t have a monthly sub, or do they?

This is so tempting to me, I liked all the things in this box. What to do…..I currently get BC, Birchbox, Ipsy and Sephora. I don’t need all this stuff. Maybe get rid of BC and Birchbox and give this a go?? Thoughts anyone? I’m not overly attached to any of the subs I get, so I’m willing to explore new boxes.

I have not been impressed with birchbox, some of the tiniest samples I’ve ever gotten. I don’t mind high quality samples that are small, but a fragrance vial you can get for free is ridiculous to be called a sample that you have to pay for. Look Fantastic samples are pretty much deluxe and at times there are full size. While many thought the March samples for LF looked small, it was actually a great box. One hair mask and one set of eye masks but also a Pur concealer at .06 oz. Which is half size the full size , a newly released Caudalie product at .50 oz which is 38% of rhe full size at 1.03 oz. and a face serum at 1.01 oz which is full size. I have yet to be disappointed with a Look Fantastic box. Definitely worth my one year subscription. And the products are usually quality. You can even buy from them online with free shipping and sometimes at prices that are less than even in the U.S. I recommend this box.

Might as well. You’ve already tried those other boxes, so maybe it’s time to give Lookfantastic a try. 🙂

I remember opening this box and feeling very refreshed (?) bc everything was so new and interesting to me. I’ve loved everything in this box, and LF has become one of those “I’ll-never-quit-this-sub” sub (but I also said that for Allure and Beautyfix)

The This Works item came smashed in my box. It’s okay though, since I could live without trying that product. I just didn’t like all of little shards of glass everywhere. 🙁 It made my box smell wonderful though!

Missy

U should let them know!

Luna

It’s okay. If it was something I was really looking forward to trying I definitely would. I still feel like I got more than my money’s worth with the other products in the box. 🙂

Love my Look Fantastic box! I look forward to it every month! So far I used everything and love everything in this box, except for the eye shadow, only because I didn’t even open it yet. I think because it’s liquid, it’s making me nervous. I’m 36 and already starting to get fine lines, thanks to the couple autoimmune diseases I have, and I am scared that it will actually age my eye’s even more?

Caitlin

Hi Melissa! If you don’t mind my asking, what autoimmune diseases are you referring to?
I’m chronically un-well, and at (almost) 30 my undereyes are so dry and crepe-y. I thought it must be genes – I’m careful with my skin, but I recently saw my older sister for the first time in like a year and I couldn’t believe how plump and healthy and bright her underlies looked. I do have a primary care doctor but she always just tells me that everything that’s wrong with me is due to stress, which isn’t helpful. So if you happen to see this comment.. I’d love to hear a little info

Hi Caitlin and Melissa,

I have had Fibromyalgia for 10 yrs along with some Neurological problems and breast cancer. I’m 50 my eyelids and under eyes turned dark brownish blue and my face was blah like it had a shadow over it got even worse after chemo. I used YSL Youth Liberator Serum for eyes and saw amazing results in about 2 weeks. At the time I also got the foundation that contains the Youth Liberator Serum in it. That brought my skin back to healthy and both bottles lasted me about four months. Now I do weekly treatments with Peter Thomas Roth it’s an oxygen mask comes out like s cream them fizzles into a foam it feels good and maintains that healthy bright skin and my eyes look good too. I keep them well hydrated. Hope this helps😊

Melissa W.

I have Hashimoto’s disease which caused hypothyroidism and I also have Lupus. The hypothyroidism caused by the Hashimoto’s is the one that causes premature aging. It also causes premature gray hair too and hair loss. Other symptoms of hypothyroidism are constipation, tiredness, low body temp, digestive issues..ect. It’s actually becoming more common these days, so it is very possible you may have it. The test you would ask your doctor for is .. TSH test and TF4 test. Hope this helps..

Becca

I love love love this box. I just got the March box today and it’s great also.

I didn’t care much for the eyeshadow. I loved the metallic finish, but although I allowed it plenty of time to dry and set, I still found that it wore away fairly quickly. I liked the vitamins though. I left them on my desk at work so I would remember to take them every day, and they never made me feel sick, unlike a lot of vitamins I’ve tried.

Reply ButtonReply

Lola

Due to tummy upset with vitamins I take prenatal vitamins. They help with hair and nail strength and no nausea. I still the them at night just in case.

Luna

I have the vitamins at my desk too, to remind myself to actually take them! I also get a bit of an upset stomach when taking vitamins, but that’s only because I tend to take them in the morning on an empty stomach. I noticed when I take them after having a little bit of something is in my stomach (even just a cup of yogurt) I don’t get that nauseous feeling at all.

Donna

Vitamins make me sick to my stomach as well. My doctor recommended I take them at night before bed and that seems to have done the trick – no sick stomach. Thought I would pass this along to you in case you want to try it.

Thanks for the info. I’ll try that out
