Cthulhu Awakens Holiday Shirt – Value $15?

I’ve received more ‘Ugly Holiday Sweater’ t-shirts than I can count this year. It’s cool to see Cthulhu get the sweater treatment, though. It’d be cool to get an actual sweater on of these times!

Gremlins Snow Globe – Value $15-20?

The next item is well-suited for the upcoming holiday in that it’s a snow globe, and features a horror movie that takes place during the Christmas season – it’s Gremlins!

horror-block-december-2016-0030

This is somewhat similar to the mini snow globe from the August Nerd Block.

horror-block-december-2016-0029

It features one of the quick scenes I remember most from watching this when I was younger – Gremlins caroling!

Krampus Bell Ornament – Value $10?

Get ready for Krampus season with a custom Krampus bell.

horror-block-december-2016-0027

While Krampus was a movie last year, it’s also a real thing – there are some intense Krampus parades! This bell will either invite him in or keep him out.

These are top-rack dishwasher safe. If only we have received these before out POPSUGAR cookies! I guess we’ll just need to bake more cookies.

Rabbit In Red – Value $15 on Amazon + Exclusive variant cover

They include a book this month! This is Rabbit in Red by Joe Chianakas. It’s a horror book about a horror movie production – from Amazon:

Bill Wise has blood in his past, so he turns to horror films to wipe it clean. Jaime Stein has felt the betrayal of death, so she too takes refuge in the on-screen deaths of others. Now Bill, Jaime, and seventeen other horror-loving teens have gathered at Rabbit in Red Studios, the brainchild of eccentric horror producer Jay “JB” Bell, for the terror-filled, blood-drenched contest of their lives.

This gets really good reviews so I’m excited to give it a try.

Rue Morgue – Value $9.95

As always, you’ll receive the last edition of Rue Morgue.

Verdict: This box was perfect for the holiday horror fan. They did a good job of finding holiday-related horror items (even if one was another ugly sweater shirt). I also like to see a book in the box – I like the horror genre of books, so I hope they could continue to include a book every once in a while – especially newer releases.

  1. I liked most of the block. Not a fan of the shirt so will gladly part with it. The Krampus ornament is super cool.

  2. Thanks for posting this review, Eric. I hope you enjoy the book!

  3. If anyone is selling the shirt from the box I’m totally interested! My boyfriend won’t let me have the one that came in the box.

  4. I LOVED this box. I literally gasped and made a loud “EEEEEEE” noise when I saw the gremlins snowglobe. Unboxing this seriously made my day.
