The theme for the upcoming GlobeIn January 2016 Box is… Bathe! More from GlobeIn:

This month we invite you to celebrate the bath. So much more than just a perfunctory routine, bathing is one of our most intimate rituals of relaxation and renewal. For many of us who lead busy lives, the shower is the one sure place to which we are able to make a daily retreat, and where we may tend, gently, to the rejuvenation of both body and mind.

We hope that January's collection of products, handcrafted from some of nature’s own most luxurious materials, inspire you to indulge in this most precious of time-outs and enjoy all the softness, smoothness, and scents that come with it.

And the first spoiler is:

Each Bathe Box will come with a Pestemal Bath Towel from Turkey (Retail $25). Colors will vary.

A small town in Denizli, Buldan has historically boasted production of the finest hand-loomed cottons in Turkey. In the Ottoman period, resident weavers were tasked with weaving the outfits of sultans. Even today, almost every household contains a loom.

Guler Sucu is a member of Atlas, a growing organization of weaving families in Buldan whose members earn a living through sharing their ancient craft with global customers. While her husband looms, Guler creates the towel’s characteristic fringes. Each fringe supports some cost of her home, whether a school book for her children or firewood for the stove.

A traditional accessory to the Turkish bath, your 100% cotton pestemal towel absorbs water faster than a regular towel, dries quickly, and folds up small.

Measurements: 39 x 67 in (100 x 170 cm)

Suggested use: Tote along to the pool or use for baby care. Machine wash in warm or cold water with like colors. Line dry or dry gently, avoiding drier sheets or high heat.

I was going to give in and finally sub for this towel until I saw the new bespoke post options had a Turkish towel as well. I’m still tempted by this box but want to see one more spoiler and maybe a coupon for one box before I make the leap.

Definitely looking forward to this. Proves again why GlobeIn is such a great box.

My ISO item and I finally got two for Christmas. I may sub just for the towel! Darn you, GlobeIn. I still want a mug too.

I’ve washed my towel once and used it once, but I already love it. Especially because I’ve been looking at them for a year and just wanted to TRY one to see if I’d like them.

I’m so excited about this spoiler! I haven’t been with sub boxes for that long so the only Turkish towel I have is from the Burke Box over the summer. Fingers crossed for a pink one!!
I gave the Cozy box the my grandma and mil for Christmas and they both loved them!
And on top of it all, they have the best customer service ever!! I’ll be with them for life (as long as I have the money of course). I unexpectedly got a box from them yesterday with the nicest note (on one of those awesome note cards from last month) thanking me for being a subscriber and a really cool round/ball candle! I was so excited!
This is seriously one of the best boxes out there – from the themes to the unique products to great customer service – it just doesn’t get any better.

If I get pink, I’d be happy to trade for another color.

Thank you! If I get a color you’re interested in and you get pink, I’ll reach out to you to swap 🙂

I learned about Turkish towels from sub boxes and my whole family now uses them as bath towels. They’re not fluffy like traditional American towels, but they dry out nicely because they’re so thin and help keep the bathroom from being constantly damp. Highly recommend!

Ooh, I like this. I wasn’t going to re-sub but now I think I will. Turkish textiles are such nice quality in general, and the colors shown here are really fun. I’ve actually been to the Denizli province of Turkey, and never knew it was known for the best hand-loomed cotton. A missed shopping opportunity! There is a nearby town called Pamukkale where you go “bathe” in warm mineral springs. So it makes sense that towels are made nearby, and also that it’s featured in the “bathe” box. Smart thinking, GlobeIn!

I unsubscribed from GlobeIn fearing a deluge of bath salts and soaps, but this one is not bad. Yes, Turkish towels have been totally overdone in subscription boxes, but this one seems to be priced fairly and I’m glad that it’s fair trade. If they reveal another non-consumable item, I’ll re-subscribe.

BTW, I gifted myself a 3-month subscription for Xmas and wrapped all the boxes. My mom and sister LOVED the stuff in them and they now want to subscribe.
