About this Candy Subscription Box:

Bokksu is another Japanese candy box, but it’s slightly more refined than the other options we’ve discussed.

In other words, if you’re not interested in eccentric candies and bizarre flavor combinations, Bokksu provides a nice alternative. Each monthly Bokksu box contains 20-22 artisanal Japanese snacks, a tea pairing to complement that month’s flavors, and a detailed tasting guide explaining each item’s story. You’ll still find the occasional sakura-flavored Kit-Kat, but most of the items are geared toward serious foodies.

The curators focus on high-quality sweets, chosen to reflect a monthly cultural theme. Past themes have focused on seasonal flavors, region-specific favorites, and holiday-inspired classics. Previous candy subscription boxes have included Hokkaido milk cookies, Kyoto hand-ground matcha, strawberry Kit-Kats, and other authentic Japanese snacks.

Plans and Pricing:

$39.99 per month, with annual subscription.

  • Get premium Japanese candy, tea, and snacks
  • Curated themes around festivals, prefectures, and holidays

I'm a SAHM of 2 under 2 who's on a mission to discover the best subscription boxes for women and children. On the off chance I'm not chasing after my kids (or breaking up a looming brawl between them and the cats), you can most likely find me training in the pool, sipping on an Americano at my local coffee shop, or hiding in our spare room to catch up on my favorite podcasts.

I just bought the Super Yums Box.. Interested in Japan Crate but heard their shipping has been way off. Those macaroon cookies though.. I might have to. Also maybe candy club in the future.

My husband loves sweets and food. Its a nice thing to do together. He’s happy and I can snag bites.

Coming from a sweet tooth household myself, I support your choices, Tiffany! 🙂

Jackie’s looks interesting but way too hot for chocolate to ship. Also in reviews several mentions of sugar free but it doesn’t say it’s a sugar free sub so confusing. I miss Graze too.

Christen Russo

Hey Kristin! Jackie’s isn’t exclusively sugar-free, but they do have an extensive sugar-free section (see link below). Graze was my first subscription box love, I’m in your camp, I miss it!

This article might need to be updated. 🙂

Sounds like Graze isn’t shipping to many places in the U.S. anymore and Chococurb is out of business.

Hey Mary! I’m way, way late to follow up on this, but we finally updated this list. Thanks for your comment!

Graze: I relied on my fabulous Graze snacks to aid me in enduring long workdays, easy breakfasts-grabbing 1 Savoury + 1 Sweet pack &just any old time I had a Hangry episode. Tragically, I was informed they would be ending service to my area-Chattanooga, TN. I’ve still been saddened daily, missing my Graze! Wah!

Yes, I went to their website and nothing is available in the store. I think they were bought up by a big company; hoping they will start up again.
