The Friends Box is a quarterly subscription box filled with exclusive, officially-licensed merch from the hit TV show. Each box comes with collectibles, apparel, and friends-tastic accessories based on beloved characters, memorable episodes, and seasonal cues. This Friends Box was inspired by the holiday season and episodes.

Alright, my fellow Central Perk enthusiasts, brace yourselves! I recently cracked open the long-awaited Friends Spring 2023 Subscription Box, and let me tell you, the excitement was real. But did it deliver a hug-worthy experience or leave me feeling like a smelly cat? Let's dive in and find out!

The Friends Box starts at $35.99 per box and ships every quarter.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes).

First Impressions

friends spring box

Okay, I have to admit, when I popped the lid off this box, it seemed a bit sparse, but fear not, my friends! While the quantity might have played hide-and-seek, the quality of the contents peeked its mischievous head. It's like they decided to play a Ross and Monica game on us—some items were jumbo-sized, while others could easily go unnoticed in a smelly shoe.

Intrigued? So was I! Let's take a closer look, shall we?

What’s Inside the Box

Mini Sign

Starting off, we have the miniature "Reserved" sign that always hogged the spotlight on their favorite couch. Adorable? Absolutely. Friends-related? Well, you might need the whole box to truly grasp its charm. Nevertheless, it's a cute addition that'll leave your guests wondering if they need a special pass to sit on your couch.

Coaster Mat

Keeping with the Central Perk theme, we have a coaster mat that's like having a slice of the iconic coffee shop in your own home. Sure, it may not have had its own moment on the show, but it's practical and stylish—just like Joey in his meatball sub moments. Currently, it's gracing my bar cart and adding a touch of caffeinated class to my life. Cheers to that!

Jumbo Magnets

Now, here's where the box veered off course for me. Magnets? Seriously? Sure, they feature pictures from the show but come on, let's spice things up! If they had iconic quotes, they'd be fridge-worthy conversation starters.

Gunter Smols Vinyl Figure

Ah, collectibles, my dear Friends fanatics. The Gunter Smols vinyl figure stole my heart. Cute and compact, it perches happily on my office bookshelf, reminding me of my undying love for coffee and the show. It even outshines its pal Joey from a previous box, as its design keeps the little fella securely on his coffee cup throne. Long live the Gunter!

Mug and Saucer

Hold onto your Central Perk aprons, folks, because this next item had me bouncing like a caffeine-fueled Phoebe. A magnificent coffee mug accompanied by a saucer, it's a match made in java heaven. As a coffee lover, this duo won my heart, promising endless sips of bliss. The size is just right, and the saucer adds a touch of sophistication to my ever-growing coffee collection. You'll likely catch me savoring a cuppa using this mug all the time!

Enamel Pin

Now, this little gem had me feeling all nostalgic. As a former collector of enamel pins (hello, 15-year-old me!), I couldn't help but grin like a smitten kitten with a ball of yarn when I saw this pin. It's a fantastic addition to any Friends-fan's collection, and it brings back memories of a time when life was all about trading pins and obsessing over our favorite shows. It's a pin that would make teenage me do a happy dance, and it certainly deserves a spot in your pin showcase.

Embossed Tee

Drumroll, please! And the winner of the Friends Spring 2023 Subscription Box is... the embossed tee! I have to tell you, this tee is the crown jewel of the box. The quality, the color, the design — everything about it screams perfection. I may or may not have engaged in a friendly wrestling match with my husband over who gets to claim it. Spoiler alert: I emerged victorious because, well, I'm obviously the Rachel in this scenario!

Was the Box Worth It?

Let's Do Some Math, Chandler-style! This box boasts a whopping $100 worth of products, but did it deliver $35.99 worth of joy? For me, the coffee mug and the t-shirt alone make it worth every penny. However, I can't help but wish they'd bid farewell to the not-so-recognizable items like the photo magnets. Come on, give us some quote magnets to spice up our fridges!

In the end, my fellow Friends enthusiasts, this subscription box is like a Ross-Rachel rollercoaster ride. It has its ups and downs, but it still manages to bring a smile to your face. It may not be a perfect 10 like Monica's kitchen, but it'll certainly add a dash of Friends-flavored joy to your collection.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a date with my new mug and a Friends marathon.

Is this box still available? No! However, there is still time to subscribe and receive the next box before it’s sold out.
