The Friends Box is a quarterly subscription box filled with exclusive, officially-licensed merch from the hit TV show. Each box comes with collectibles, apparel, and friend-tastic accessories based on the beloved characters, memorable episodes, and seasonal cues.

You can probably recognize a Friends episode from a small clue if you’re from my group of friends. As someone who has watched Friends at least three times and continues to re-watch episodes from time to time, I was beyond thrilled to get this new box for me to review. Let’s take a quick trip down memory lane with Friends.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

First Impressions

This box features winter apparel and cute souvenirs that reference season 8 of Friends. I loved the fact that it comes with the words “I Am The Holiday Armadillo” and a call out to “The One With The Red Sweater.” Huh? Let’s take a peek inside. Every box comes with a card showing each item inside for reference.

What’s Inside The Box

Tye Dye Sweatshirt

Considering this box is for Winter 2022 and refers to the winter season of ups and downs, the sweatshirt was an epic addition. It has the perfect red tie-dye pattern. My friends and I immediately recognized the sweater. In fact, I asked two friends staying with me at the moment, and they both jumped and said, “That’s Ross’s sweater!!!” I’m thrilled that Florida is getting some chilly weather so I could actually wear this sweater around.

Travel Mug

Season 8 is where we learn Chandler Bing’s second name, Muriel, and it was definitely a moment to remember. This travel mug is perfect for die-hard Friends fans who will recognize the epic moment in the series. It works for keeping drinks cool and hot, so you can be ready for anything.

Knee-High Cozy Socks

Like I said, in Florida, we don’t get winter weather. But, these cozy knee-high socks are perfect for lounging around the house. However, the moment my husband got the hang of them, it was like a match made in heaven. He absolutely loved them. The socks are very soft, and with the black and white wintery display, he could wear them to work. Definitely a cute stocking stuffer for anyone who likes Friends.

Knit Pom Beanie

To pair with the socks comes this cute knit pom beanie. While I don’t think I’ll give it much use down here in Florida, it will be my go-to beanie for my travels up north. Maybe for when I visit the MSA headquarters? It has a timeless and genderless design, perfect for a wintery gift.

Holiday Greeting Cards

These holiday greetings cards are gorgeous. The set comes with three Friends-inspired greeting cards and their envelopes. I might frame at least two. They’re so cute and adorable I can’t see myself giving them to someone else.

Spiral Bound Journal

Fun fact about me: I’m a big journal person. I love to take notes, and I have a steady journaling practice – especially after I’ve had a really long day. Of course, I’m making reference to episode 13 of season 8, “The One Where Chandler Takes a Bath,” which gave us the image featured in this journal. The journal itself is your average lined notebook, nothing special.

Magnet Keychain

While the box arrived after Christmas, it came just a few days after my keychain broke. So, I was actually thrilled to see this on the box. It has the Central Perk logo on one side, and a nice leather feel. I immediately upgraded my keys to their new Friends keychain, least to say my husband was jealous.

Joey Smols Collectible Figure

As a surprise item, I received a Joey collectible figure. It’s a Central Perk coffee mug that comes with a figure of Joey wearing all of Chandler’s clothes. True fans know this is “The One Where No One’s Ready.” As Ross is getting ready to receive a function, everyone takes forever to get dressed and ready. Amid the chaos, Joey decides to wear all of Chandler’s clothes and even makes a few lunges to sweat it out a bit. The figurine can be placed over the coffee mug so you can display it next to its other collectible friends.

My Verdict

This Friends box featured items that I will definitely use. The sweatshirt was by far my favorite item, next to the travel mug, since I know I’ll use those the most. I loved remembering the episodes and the jokes from Season 8 as I connected with the item. In my house, we are four Friends-loving people, and we all got very excited about all the contents in the box.

Was the Box Worth It?

The box certainly delivered on its promise of officially-licensed and exclusive collectibles. If you’re a Friends fan, this box will bring you joy. The box included 8 items for $39.99, which works out to $4.99 per item – that alone makes it worth it.
