Bath Bevy is a subscription box for those who love self-care. Each month subscribers will receive a thoughtfully curated box featuring bath bombs, bath salts, and other bath products from various indie brands. If you aren't a fan of baths, Bath Bevy even has a Tubless subscription option, where you'll receive handmade bath and body goodness without a single item that requires running a bath. When you subscribe to Bath Bevy, you can expect to bathe in luxury no matter if you're standing in a shower or sitting in a tub.
This is a review of the Tubless Bath Bevy box, which will not send bath bombs, bubble bars, or any other bathing product you need a bath tub for.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)
First Impressions
This subscription comes packaged in a blue and white box, and when you open it you find the items thoughtfully tucked inside of sizzle and tissue paper and sealed with a sticker. You can really tell Bath Bevy pays attention to detail by how they pack their box. There is also an info sheet detailing the products included.
Bath Bevy "Autumn Splendor” Tubless September 2022 Review
Calming Lavender Shower Steamers, 2 ct - Retail Value $12
Shower steamers were what I was most looking forward to with this subscription- I actually love them, but they're kind of hard to find compared to bath bombs. This set of calming lavender shower steamers smells richly of fragrant lavender, and I love how it mixes with the hot steam of my shower to make it feel like I'm at the spa. One steamer lasts for a while, too- It was still fizzing by the time I was done with my shower.
Easy Breathe-y Eucalyptus Shower Steamers, 2 ct - Retail Value $12
I love, love, love the smell of eucalyptus, so I was stoked that we received a second set of shower steamers in that classic scent. It's a little medicinal but very zingy and refreshing, and I always feel like when I am standing near fragrant eucalyptus products my body starts to relax (even if it's only just a tiny bit). This lasted for as long as the lavender version, meaning that no part of my shower lacked the fragrant eucalyptus scent.
Pumpkin Pie Slice Soap - Retail Value $9
How cute is this? While I am not typically a fan of bar soaps, it's hard to resist one this cute. It smells as good as it looks with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, maple, and honey (which could go in a pumpkin pie but also makes me think of a tasty sweet potato casserole). This is large, coming in at six ounces, and it was a tiny bit unwieldy to hold- but the cuteness factor was worth the tradeoff.
Autumn Delight Whipped Soap Scrub - Retail Value $15
I have gotten a whipped soap scrub in every box of my other Bath Bevy subscription, and it appears that it is featured in the tubless subscription, too. If you've never tried a whipped soap or whipped soap scrub, you're missing out- I find it makes sudsing up a lot more fun than holding a bar of soap because of the whipped texture, and while there is a mix of sugar in the formula, the "scrubby" part of the experience is gentle and not too abrasive. The "autumn delight" smell is really reminiscent of hot apple cider, with a strong cinnamon note and hints of brown sugar and vanilla- I liked the spice from the cinnamon and thought it smelled really nice.
White Pumpkin Body Wash - Retail Value $12
I've never tried a Bath Bevy body wash in my other subscription! This body wash smells like sweet vanilla and pumpkin, and it didn't leave my skin feeling dry or tight like some soaps can. Using this all over my body during a shower really felt like I was stepping into the autumn spirit, and I was fully on board.
Valley Candles Autumn Splendor Candle - Retail Value $12
I was so excited to open this box and see a candle- I love candles! This one is made with soy wax and a cotton wick, and the "Autumn Splendor" candle scent is a mix of butterscotch, bourbon whiskey, and vanilla. This small candle has a throw powerful enough to fill a bathroom, but it couldn't fully fill my bedroom. Overall, I really quite liked it (and I appreciate that they thought to include matches!).
Value – Was This Box Worth It?
The Cost: $43.21 per month + $7.95 shipping.
Value Breakdown: Everything in this box is handmade by Bath Bevy. All of the prices add up to $72, which is more than the cost of the box plus shipping.
Key Takeaways
This was my first time trying the Bath Bevy tubless subscription box, and it did not disappoint! I was very happy with the performance of the shower steamers (and that we received four of them), and love that we also received a candle. Compared to their traditional box, the only product between the two that was the same was the whipped soap scrub- and even then, each box came with a different scent. If you love using artisan bath products but taking baths isn't your thing, I do recommend checking out the Bath Bevy tubless subscription.
