Petit Vour is a monthly vegan beauty subscription box. It’s a great box if you’re looking to try out new vegan and/or natural beauty products.

There are two subscription options to choose from. The base Petit Vour box is $18.00 per month and the Petit Vour Plus box is $25.00 per month.

This is a review of the $18.00 per month box.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

First Impressions

When you open the box, the first thing you find is the information sheet, which lists the products included, their values, and a quick blurb about what they do. After that, you can always expect to find four products safely nestled inside the box waiting for you to enjoy.

Each month comes with an info sheet, and the other side of the info sheet always features a new art print.

The Breakdown - What's Inside My August 2022 Petit Vour Box

Petit Vour Pure Plum Antioxidant Oil, 1 oz - Retail Value $36

I love facial oils. I sometimes forget to use them in my evening skincare routine, but I love to apply them when I want to use a jade roller or gua sha for a facial massage. This is a 100% plum oil with no other ingredients, so it’s packed with antioxidants for your skin. I love the way this made my dry skin feel- it was nourishing without being too heavy.

Evio Velvet Color Stick in Where You Can, 0.32 oz - Retail Value $24

The day this box arrived I had actually been digging in my purse and pulled out an Evio lip balm that had come in a previous box, so seeing the familiar brand made me smile. Their velvet color stick has a creamy texture that glides in easy and blends well without too much elbow grease, and I really liked how pretty of a neutral this rose shade is. You can wear it anywhere on your face that you like, but color and texture-wise I feel like this was destined to be a blush.

Here it is swatched.

Linné Botanicals Purify Face Wash and Mask, 1 oz - Retail Value $24

While the cost of this cleanser definitely made me raise an eyebrow, I thought it did a nice job. It’s made with French green clay, Dead Sea salt, olive leaf extract, and tea tree essential oil, and you can apply it to dry skin to use it as a mask or massage it into damp skin to use it as a cleanser. I did find this to be a tiny bit drying, but it didn’t leave my face feeling tight- moreso I just knew my skin wanted me to follow up with some extra hydrating products. I think this would be better suited for those with more oily skin than mine, but it works for dry skin, too, if you don’t use it every day.

Andalou Naturals Citrus Sunflower Shower Gel, 1.7 oz - Retail Value $2.99

I love when useful travel-sized products show up in boxes. I don’t want a tiny lipstick sample I’ll lose in a purse after one use, but instead something like this where it’s TSA compliant while still having plenty of product for more than one trip. The shower gel is formulated with rosehip, argan oil, and coconut water, and I didn’t find it to be drying to my skin. The citrus scent was refreshingly pleasant, too.

Value - Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $18

Cost Breakdown:

  • Petit Vour: $36 → $7.45
  • Evio: $24 → $6.62
  • Linne: $24 → $6.62
  • Andalou Naturals: $2.99 → $0.62

Everything in the box adds up to $86.99, which is fantastic for an $18 box that sends exclusively vegan beauty products. Alternatively, each of the 4 items has an average cost of $4.50.

Key Takeaways

This was another lovely box from Petit Vour. We received two full-sized items and two nicely-sized travel-sized items, and all of the products are useful. While I personally would never pay $24 for a one ounce tube of cleanser (even a cleanser that can pull double duty as a mask), that's one of the fun things about subscription boxes: trying things you would never buy yourself. Petit Vour does a good job of sending out well-rounded boxes with nice values for under $20, and I appreciate the effort they put in each month (it never feels like filler products have been put in my box the way it can with other subscriptions). If you try to focus on vegan beauty products (or have a friend who does), this is definitely a box you want to check out.
