InStyle and Astrology Zone partnered together to create their first-ever, limited-edition beauty box that's tailored to your astrological sign. There are four collections available, one for each element: earth, air, fire, and water. As a Gemini, I got to try out the Air box. Here's an up-close look at the products I received in the box and what I thought about each of them.
My Subscription Addiction received this box at no cost in exchange for an honest review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes).
The Breakdown - What's Inside The Box
I received the InStyle x Astrology Zone Air Signs collection. This box costs $35 and includes over $140 worth of beauty products. Here's a closer look at each of the items!
ACURE Resurfacing Overnight Glycolic Treatment - Retail Value $25
This 100% vegan skin treatment is applied to your face each night right before bed. It's intended to be used every other day until your skin adjusts to the ingredients and you may experience tingling effects at first which are only temporary. Some of its key ingredients include avocado oil, apricot oil, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, olive oil, true unicorn root extract, and hemp seed oil. I liked that the tube and cap were both made from recycled material and that this product was Leaping Bunny Certified and made with mostly natural, plant-derived ingredients.
AG Hair ' Hands-Free' Clean Hand Sanitizer Gel - Retail Value $10
This bottle of hand sanitizer gel is made with 73% volume per volume of corn-derived alcohol and this percentage actually exceeds both CDC and WHO sanitizer guidelines. I don't use sanitizer gel all that often but I suppose it's helpful to have on hand. IMO, I think that most customers would prefer to receive another beauty product or even a naturally-derived soap over this.
Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Pink Dream Body Cream - Retail Value $2
This lotion has a light, sweet scent to it that's not overbearing and would be enjoyed by many customers. This product is vegan and cruelty-free and does not contain parabens, mineral oil, sulfates, silicones, phthalates, drying alcohols, or synthetic dyes. While I'm not a major fan of added fragrances, I will say that this product contains less than 1% of its fragrance blend which is free of known irritants. There are also a few ingredients in this product that I would normally stay away from as I prefer to use natural ingredients only whenever possible, but its formulation did include watermelon fruit extract, mango seed butter, watermelon seed oil, hibiscus extract, coffee fruit extract, and raspberry ketone.
Hanhoo Blemish Patches - Retail Value $5
I thought this product was cool to include within the box. I assume that these hydrocolloid patches are sourced from pectin since they are vegan-friendly and the product works by forming a gel on the skin after drawing out fluids and impurities. The one catch to using this product is that they're intended to be worn for 6-8 hours, so I definitely suggest wearing them throughout the night.
Hello Good Morning (Meyer Lemon + Ginseng) Fluoride Free Toothpaste - Retail Value $5
I've used Hello's charcoal toothpaste in the past so I was excited to see this formulation thrown into my box. This toothpaste tastes slightly minty at first but leaves a fruity aftertaste. Some of its key ingredients include panax ginseng root extract, camu camu fruit extract, guarana seed extract, and stevia.
Invisibobble SLIM - Stay Gold Hair Ring - Retail Value $8
Between my husband and I, as well as the cats, it seems like we can rarely find our hair ties in the same place on any given day and that they go missing quite frequently. So, anytime I'm provided with additional hair ties is an absolute blessing (until the cats find it...). These worked incredibly well and were quite flexible and I definitely plan on using these on a daily basis.
Liquid IV 3 Pack Hydration Sticks - Retail Value $6
I enjoyed trying out this electrolyte mix! The sugar was a bit higher than what I would've normally liked to have (11g per stick), but I will say that it helped to balance out the sodium (510mg per stick) well. This product is made of cane sugar, dextrose, sodium, potassium, Reb-A/Stevia (which I thought was interesting to include in addition to having actual sugar), and vitamins B3, B5, B6, B12, and C. Although it's recommended to add to 16oz of water, I think it's best to add more as it can be quite salty and sweet with lower amounts of water.
Pacifica Clean Shot: Niacinamide, Zinc & Hemp 10% Complex - Retail Value $12
I loved the way this product felt on my skin. This vegan, Leaping Bunny Certified skin oil is made of niacinamide (vitamin B3), aloe, zinc, and hemp oil. What's great about this product is there's relatively no scent other than the natural aroma of the aloe and hemp. This was one of my favorite products included in this box.
WEN Treatment Oil In Fig Sweet Orange - Retail Value $65
This was my absolute favorite product by far. This essential oil blend is composed of organic jojoba oil, sesame seed oil, olive oil, organic argan oil, Abyssinian oil, Balsam Peru oil, fig extract, organic sweet orange essential oil, cedarwood oil, organic ylang ylang essential oil, and tocopherol (vitamin E). I forgot to include this in the above image, but this product also comes with a dropper as well. I found this product to be a great addition to baths and I also applied it directly to my skin on occasion as well.
Winky Lux Matcha Lip Balm - Retail Value $16
Last but not least, this mini lip balm was also thrown into the mix. I appreciated that this product contained castor seed oil, coconut oil, and avocado oil but was not a huge fan of the inclusion of Red 7 and petrolatum.

My Verdict – Is The InStyle x Astrology Zone Box Worth It?
Absolutely! Considering that all of the items in this limited edition box amount to $154 retail value but are sold together for $35, why not give this box a try? Even though there were a few products included in this box that I normally wouldn't purchase, I found most of the products to be useful, and, if anything, they were all fun to try out.
