First Impressions

I really love the box this subscription comes with. It's very sturdy and easy to reuse as storage. The phrase on the inside of the box says, "In the darkness, be the light." I absolutely love what that implies and found it very uplifting.

What's Inside the Box

PRAI Throat and Decolletage Cream, 10 ml - Estimated Value $6

I only recently discovered that I needed to moisturize my neck and decolletage area if I don’t want to look like a turkey in my old age. It seems like the second I discovered this, several subscriptions decided to bless me with such products. So far, this PRAI is one of my favorites. It’s luxurious and hydrating, with a very light natural scent that I enjoy. My skin feels softer and smoother after application. It absorbs nicely and doesn’t leave behind any greasy film. It’s lightweight and cooling and is definitely going to stay on my nightstand for before-bed application. I think a product like this works over time, so I’m excited to see if I have any noticeable lifting and tightening of skin by the end of this sample. If it does all that it promises -- firming, smoothing, lifting, tightening, and reducing wrinkles -- I could definitely see myself regularly repurchasing this product.

Balance Me BHA Exfoliate Concentrate, 30 ml - Estimated Value $6.13

I’ve received this product in the past. I enjoy a lot of Balance Me’s products. This exfoliating concentrate is super gentle. There aren’t any gritty little bits in the formula, but it is still incredibly effective. It always leaves my skin looking glowy and soft, with a much clearer, less congested complexion. I especially like to use it on my nose, where I usually have blackheads. The product does take a few minutes to dry down before I can apply serums and moisturizer, so I can only use it when I’m not running late in the mornings. It has a nice fresh, natural scent and works well to gently remove dead skin cells, reduce blemishes, and target enlarged pores, all while improving skin’s hydration.

Le Mini Macaron Moisturizing Foot Mask, 1 pair - $4

I’m so happy a foot mask was included in this month’s box! It’s something I rarely get in a subscription and would so rarely buy for myself. But I never regret taking a few minutes to do a foot mask, and this mask was perfect after a long day in cowboy boots and horseback riding. It left my feet feeling refreshed and incredibly moisturized. There was a light lavender scent, which I have to admit is not my favorite scent, but it was not at all overpowering and actually quite relaxing. I highly recommend applying this after exfoliating your feet. The rough skin on the soles of my feet felt absolutely wonderful and soft afterward.

Molton Brown Body Wash Relax Ylang-Ylang, 100 ml - Estimated Value $10.67

I love getting body wash in a subscription box. This product has a very unique soft scent -- a bit of vanilla and cedarwood mixed with tangerine, cardamom, ginger, jasmine, and ylang-ylang, all creating a complex, enjoyable musky scent. The gel works up into a nice, rich lather that’s more creamy than foamy. It rinses off nicely and doesn’t leave behind any residue or film on my skin, and the scent is not overpowering and gently lingers on my skin after rinsing. I found the experience of using this body wash to be quite relaxing and it left my skin feeling very clean but not dry. I really like the consistency of this product and how it goes seamlessly from gel to lather.

Diego Dalla Palma High Precision Long Lasting Water Resistant Brow Pencil, - Estimated Value $8.34

This brow pencil is not creamy like the image in the full-size looks. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s a sample, but I found this particular pencil to be a hard pencil and very much on the stabby side. I really like this shade. It matches well with my brows, so I may hang onto it in case of an emergency. But for my everyday makeup, I definitely prefer something more gentle that applies smoothly. If you prefer a firmer pencil, you would definitely enjoy this product, but if you’re like me, it might be a bit harsh for you. I suppose it’s all a matter of preference really.

Comfort Zone Renight Cream, 30 ml - Estimated Value $41

This is definitely a heavier night cream, and while it is intensely moisturizing, it does absorb nicely into the skin and doesn’t leave behind any greasy residue. It has a pleasantly refreshing scent that has a fruity undertone, and even though the formula is very rich, it doesn’t leave me waking up with an oily face in the morning. It is a bit too heavy, however, for when I’m in Los Angeles, but this is definitely going in my carry-on for when I head out to New York this holiday season. This would be the perfect cream for a cold, dry, and windy climate.

Verdict

I think this was a great LookFantastic box. I especially love that a body wash and foot mask were included in this month’s curation. I enjoy trying new body washes, but when purchasing for myself, I tend to stick to my tried-and-true, so, I’m always excited when something new and different comes in a subscription. This Molton Brown body wash has a very unique scent and a luxurious lather that I enjoy. The Le Mini Macaron foot mask did a great job breathing new life into the rough patches on my feet -- I would highly recommend this product. I was really impressed with the PRIA neck and décolletage cream. It felt very hydrating on my skin and soothed my fears of waking up one day looking like a turkey. I’m also excited to have the Comfort Zone cream. Even though it’s a bit heavier than I usually prefer, I think it will be perfect for my trip into the cooler weather this December. The Balance Me exfoliate concentrate is a great product that I’ve tried before and will enjoy using again. I love how gently it removes dead skin cells, revealing the fresh glowy skin underneath. Lastly, the Diego Dalla brow pencil… While it’s a little too hard of a pencil for me, I’m sure someone in my girl gang will enjoy it. Overall, this was a great box for me. There were several new and intriguing products that I enjoyed, as well as one familiar to me.

I didnt get the Milton Brown body wash, which I love, instead I got a duplicate glow gorgeous hair conditioner. And the brown liner, that even than a sephorha trial size pencil. Its even smaller than a golf pencil. An underwhelming box for me for the first time in ages.

I have used a couple jars of Prai neck cream and feel like they did a nice job over time of smoothing skin. The key is to never stop using them!

This was my 2nd box in my 3 month subscription and I am pleasantly surprised by this sub in general. Unfortunately, I didn’t get Molton Brown. I got cuticle oil instead which I don’t have use for. The night cream was my favorite thing. I like the smell and the texture. My skin really liked this cream as well. Prai was also very nice. Not that I am going to repurchase it as I have way too much stuff, but it was a delight to use
