Petit Vour June 2021 Review

One thing to note- this box normally comes with an info sheet and four products. As you'll keep reading, you'll see I only review three products. There was a mixup that prevented the fourth product from being reviewed. If you subscribe, you can expect four items in your box every month.  Thanks for understanding- now let's dive in!

Yuni Zenicure Rejuvenating Facial Oil, 3 ml - Estimated Value $7.50

I’ve tried the shower body wipes from Yuni before, but I didn’t know they also made a facial oil. While this sample is definitely small, the full-size bottle is small too- it’s less than half an ounce! Ingredients-wise, this is made with cannabis oil and the extracts of paracress, madonna lily, and mirabilis jalapa callus (also known by some as the four o’clock flower). These botanical extracts are all new to me, but they’re doing good work inside this oil. The extracts are suspended in avocado and sweet almond oil base, and I found it to be really nourishing to my skin. It is a little on the heavy side, so I’ve used this both on its own but also mixed it into my moisturizer, and both ways were great.

Taila Vayu Illuminating Toning Mist, 0.34 oz - Estimated Value $7.33 (buy the 2.5 oz version for $55.00)

I think this is the most luxurious sample of toner I’ve ever tried- I love the glass packaging and gold detail. The ingredients list isn’t too shabby, either- the key ingredients are holy basil, rose, cucumber, and aloe, and a quick spritz over my face felt really refreshing to my dry skin. If I can repurpose this bottle once I am done with the sample I totally would- it is the perfect size for travel.

Osmia Naked Body Oil, 1 oz - Retail Value $20.00

Right off the bat, I love that this small bottle of body oil retails for more than the cost of this entire subscription box. Body oils seem to be having a moment- I’ve gotten quite a few over the past few months, but I really enjoy them. This one by Osmia is a blend of 11 different oils like jojoba, kukui, rosehip seed, and hemp seed, and there is no added fragrance or essential oils. That is why this body oil is “naked”- any scent you smell is just the natural scent of the oil blend. Finding fragrance-free body products is a little difficult, so I really appreciate Petit Vour introducing this to us. Plus, the oil itself was really nice on my dry skin after a hot, steamy shower.

Verdict: I genuinely enjoy my monthly Petit Vour subscription, and this month was no exception. All of the products felt a little fancier because of the nice glass packaging and unique featured ingredients, and I also enjoy that all of the items can be used in the same routine. The value this month is a bit lower than normal because of that missing fourth product, but even taking that into account I don't think a total value of $34.83 is that bad for a box that sends exclusively vegan beauty products.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, the starting month for your subscription will be displayed on the sign-up button. This box also has variants based on your beauty profile, so yours might be totally different than mine.

Value Breakdown: At $18.00 for this box, here is what you are paying approximately per item:

  • Yuni: $3.87
  • Taila: $3.79
  • Osmia:$10.33

Alternatively, each of the 3 items has an average cost of $6.00.

I received the body oil, the toner, 2 cream highlighter sticks from Voss, and a serum from Juice beauty in my box. I kept the first 2, gave the highlighters to my daughter, and tossed the serum into the donate box.

So are they back to just one box variation being shipped instead of 2? If so I will resubscribe, I just couldn’t stand the variations

I don’t think it is a matter of box variations but more to do with how long someone has been subscribed. The MSA spoilers showed an Elate lip product as one of the 4 items. I have already received that in the past. I received the K Voss palette instead this month. As I mentioned in my other comment on this post I have never received a duplicate item in the 2 years and 2 months I have been subscribed to Petit Vour. I think that is intentional and I really do appreciate it!

My 4th product was a K Voss Heye Lighter palette for eyes/face and I love it! The K Voss makeup products are more subtle and work well on aging skin. I received the other 3 products you reviewed above and really happy with this box. I have been subbed since April 2019 and never received a repeat item and it is the most economical vegan/cruelty free sub out there at 18.00. I doubt I will ever cancel this sub!
