Look Fantastic March 2021 Review

Included was a nice booklet with loads of info on our products this month.

First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads– Estimated Value $6.00 (Buy in quantities of 60 for $36.00 or 28 for $18.00)

Our first item in this month's box is a pack of facial cleansing pads. These pads are safe for sensitive skin and help to exfoliate, tone and brighten skin.  I love facial pads like these because they allow for a nice midday refresher.  These pads are light and help to reenergize! They felt extremely soft on my face and didn't leave a sticky residue after use.

Bloom & Blossom Wonder Worker Multi-Tasking Balm, 15 ml  – Estimated Value $6.66 (Buy a 50 ml for approx. $20.74)

I'm such a fan of the body products Look Fantastic includes in their monthly subscription! With the constant washing of hands, my hands get very dry throughout the day. I tried this balm, and my hands were so moisturized after! With ingredients like lavender oil and shea butter, the smell is wonderful.  I found myself taking a whiff of my hands many times after using.  This product is rich in anti-inflammatory properties that help to protect, condition and treat all types of skin.

Polaar IceSource Ultra-Moisturising Mask, 1.76 fl oz – Retail Value $38.88

As soon as I saw the word ice in the name, I was intrigued. This moisturizing lotion has a cooling treatment that leaves skin feeling hydrated! After washing my face in the evening, I put a dab of lotion in my hands and rubbed on my face and neck. I felt the coolness of the moisturizer right away and my face loved it! My face felt soft and hydrated as I drifted off the sleep. I was very impressed.

Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask, 50 ml – Estimated Value $14.20 (Buy a 250 ml for $71.00)

Contrary to what I thought before reading about this product, this is a hair mask, NOT a face mask haha. Almost made a horrible mistake. This mask contains rare prickly pear seed oil and smells so yummy! The consistency is custard like. I have braids in so could not try this item today, but am very much looking toward to using this hair mask in the future.

Ahava Mineral Mud Soap

I was unable to find this  particular soap online, but there are some close alternatives here!

I am not familiar with Ahava products, but I love using mud mineral items! This mud soap can be used on face and body and is formulated to wash away impurities. I tried the soap on my body and to my surprise, this lathered up very nicely. My skin felt squeaky clean after. Maybe a little too clean as my skin was pretty dry once out of the shower. I enjoyed the fresh, clean smell and am interested to see if it starts to clear impurities on my skin.

Lottie London AM to PM Retractable Eyeliner Black, 6 m – Estimated Value $6.84

I only wear black eyeliner, so I'm always glad to add another one to my makeup collection.  This AM to PM liner boast of 24-hour wear. I tried the liner on as I ran errands throughout the day and didn't wash off until the evening before bed. The liner, while still on my waterline, had sadly also started to stain under my eye. I think I will use this as a top liner only for a cute cat eye or other design!

Brush Works Double Extended Brow Brush – Retail Value $4.50

Our last item is a duo brow brush. The bristles on both ends are incredibly soft, but also sturdy enough for even brushing and eyebrow application.

The Verdict: I thought the products in this month's  Look Fantastic Beauty Box were cute. I am so ready to try the hair mask and it smells so delicious! The hand balm was so incredibly soothing and very needed in a time where we are washing our hands a little more than usual. I estimate I received approximately $77.08 in product (not including the mud soap), which is a really great deal for having only paid $19.00.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, your first box will be next month's. (This page will let you know which box is currently available.)

Value Breakdown: At $19.00 for this box, each of the 7 items has an average cost of $2.71.

I love those FAB facial radiance pads- I use them in the “exfoliating toner” step of my routine and they really made a difference in my skin. Also, that Christopher Robin mask is one of the best I’ve ever tried! I lust over a full-size jar but that’s definitely out of my price range.

I love Polaar products so much. Their night cream is a dream for dry skin. The sample featured in this box looks very interesting.

Ahava — while a controversial brand, I’m always happy to see their hand creams pop up in my sub boxes.

Nobody should be worried about where or how it’s made. First world problem for sure.

Why is Ahava controversial? Not being snarky here – I enjoy their products but don’t want to continue supporting them if the company has positions or practices I would not agree with.

Hi Tolin — Ahava’s factory is located in the Occupied West Bank (which is considered illegal under international law). The Israeli company have set up an illegal settlement and their products use resources that come from the Dead Sea. Being as this portion of land has been fought over for years and years, one might not one to support a company that has basically forced out the people of Palestine from not only land but also natural resources.

It can be better to wear a white or pale pink or pale nude in the waterline, as black there will make yours eyes look smaller and more closed in. A pale shade will make the eyes look larger as well as bounce back light into the eye. You might see this trick in many tv shows and movies as well. (I really noticed it in Stargate where Sam was almost always rocking the white.) If you do put black on the lower lid, tightlining the lashes on the outside lid and not the waterline is a better location for it. If you couple that with the pale shade on the waterline, it can be very dramatic.

A lot of people who wear liner on the bottom line actually really like it because it adds a dramatic effect. otherwise I agree with you, my eyes are small and I do this very rarely because of that reason.
