I am really tempted to sign up. I like all the skincare here and some of the other stuff too. Question is, do I do it now and take the last box too, or do I wait? I don’t really understand how customization works when you are new.

Amber )-(

You may already have the answer by now, but if not; customizing for seasonal members doesn’t start until the middle of next month so you don’t need to sign up until then if you’re only looking to get this box. If you’re planning to signup for annual than you would signup the first week of May because they get early choice.

I was really excited to see this box because of the new customization options they introduced, but this is a let down. Repeat items and items I’ll never use. There are also so many skincare products. I have very sensitive skin and can rarely try out new products because my skin usually reacts. This used to be my absolute favorite subscription box but it’s going downhill.

Reply ButtonReply

Tomorrow

I’m with you on that, Jackie. I was really excited to hear about annuals being able to fully customize, but there are literally 2 items in the box that really interest me. Hopefully, I can make trades for those items.

Reply ButtonReply

Kelly

I think sub boxes like FFF should do a 2x yearly box. Increase the price and make the boxes have more items (hence the price increase) and maybe it would stop all the repeat items overkill. I’d totally be on board for a 2x yearly box. They could also include seasonal items in a twice yearly box.

Chantel

I really wish Fabfitfun would at least offer one home good type item per box. I cancelled my beauty boxes for a reason but now this box is a majority skincare. There’s a real black hole in the market because we just don’t have many home good/lifestyle boxes anymore. Fabfitfun went drastically towards skincare, so I won’t be renewing my annual for the first time in 5 years.

Reply ButtonReply

Brooke

YES! I already sub to multiple beauty boxes, and I wanted this to be more lifestyle/home based. To have TWO moisturizers and TWO vit c serums in one box seems overkill! I wanted more summer things to use, rather than beauty/skincare — sunglasses, a hat, gardening stuff, a different towel (really? a throwback from another box?), a lemonade or margarita set — I don’t know… something less skincare/beauty related overall though. 🙁 So disappointing.

These comments are a testament to how unique and different we all are as individuals. I see a lot of complaints about this box, but I for one am ecstatic with all the practical choices here and don’t know how I’m going to narrow it down. I commend FFF for taking on the impossible challenge of trying to please everyone, and I’ll understand if there’s a box or category I don’t like because I know there’s someone else out there extremely happy with it.

Reply ButtonReply

Jaime

I just canceled. I was going to pay for another year but Completely disappointed with the last box and this box. Repeat towel from last summer. And repeat glasses winter.
2 Vitamin C choices and sunscreen with Vitamin C. So sad I really loved FFF over the last 3 years and was always happy. But this box is bad.

Reply ButtonReply

Carrie

I don’t think the box is bad– I think you may not like it, but a lot of people do. This is my favorite box in at least a year. I’m SUPER excited!

Reply ButtonReply

Stephanie

There’s enough options where you don’t have to choose the towel. I like throwbacks because as someone who likes sets I appreciate having a matching set of towels.

Reply ButtonReply

Ashleigh

I’m actually happy about the towel. I didn’t choose the towel but it looks nice to me and is going to be my choice for that category.

Kelly

I’ve been with CauseBox for years. It’s fantand the very few items I’ve not used were regifted. And of course, all the products support great causes and they’re CS is top notch.

Reply ButtonReply

Quinn

I’m kinda surprised that I don’t hate this box. I love getting sunscreen in boxes and the supergoop is a good one.

I did think the 2 vitamin c serums was strange but l still want 1 or 2 things from each category.

Rae Dunn is not my style but I know some people really like those.

Reply ButtonReply

Carol

The only thing that I want is the SuperGoop, but I am afraid that it will be sold out by the time that I would get to customize. The other options are fine, but I don’t really want a whole box of stuff that is just ‘ok’. Maybe I am better off waiting for a sale on the sunscreen lol.

Reply ButtonReply

Lipgloss Diva

If you have a FSA, you can use it on the SuperGoop website.

Reply ButtonReply

Carol

I don’t anymore, but that is good to know! Our HSA ‘store’ at my old job carried SuperGoop, but not Unseen Sunscreen.

Kathleen

Does anyone know what the African Botanics Shimmer Oil smells like?

Reply ButtonReply

Molly Honey

Waiting for a jewelry and home decor item.

Reply ButtonReply

Amy

Although I’m not excited about anything, I really don’t mind at least of the options for each set. FYI if you have purchased the Scentuals vitamin C from Causebox or FFF, the ingredients may have changed. I love the one I have, but the ingredients on Scentuals’ website are different.

Reply ButtonReply

Alicia

Thanks for this comment. I noticed that too, which is a bit of a bummer. I really liked the old formula.

Reply ButtonReply

Melody

I’m not at all excited for category 1, but every category besides that, there are items I want. Nothing overly exciting though.

Reply ButtonReply

Katy

This is such a skincare heavy box! I quit all my beauty subs for a reason. I want better lifestyle choices.

Reply ButtonReply

Amy

Here’s a brain teaser – don’t yuck my yum or I might get mad and shove my cactus cup straight up your bum

Reply ButtonReply

Molly Honey

Oh You ordered the ouai chill box, too! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣🤣

Reply ButtonReply

Karen

WTF?! LOL! 😂

Reply ButtonReply

Lana

This is the worst category for me yet. Odd to have two vitamin C serums and I prefer Summer Fridays. Too bad it’s not something you can stock up on

Reply ButtonReply

Monique

I was going to comment the same about the vitamin c serums.

Reply ButtonReply

Stephanie

It’s also weird that they have two insulated tumbler type items. I like vitamin c so I’m kind of happy to have a choice of one to get but it’s also very weird.

Lauren L

So what is the exchange rate if I swap my box for credit (points?) In other words, how much money will the swap “give me” to shop the Edit Sale?

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

$50 I heard.

Reply ButtonReply

Cheryl

Can seasonal people skin boxes? I am so disappointed in the categories so far..

Reply ButtonReply

Carrie

yes.

Reply ButtonReply

Carrie

Sorry, to clarify: you can skip for credit (like you pay, but they give you credit on your account for add-ons or sales) but if you don’t want to pay at all, you can cancel and then resub next season if you like that box.

Alice

I’ll select items I’ll eventually use from each category. However, this is my last box of annual and I won’t be renewing. I’m not renewing any annuals. One gets to a point in life where one realizes the overcomsumption is not needed. I need to reduce stuff, not add more.

Reply ButtonReply

Elli

Curious if you’ve thought about switching to earthlove (am considering a switch)? Agree that overconsumption isn’t necessary.

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

I did consider it! I’m going to drop them all. I figure if there is something I truly need in lifestyle, I’ll just purchase that item.

Bindi Shah

I am overloaded with skincare but still excited about the malin+goetz cream. I had got their oil in a causebox and its my favorite skincare product I have ever used so excited to try something else from them.

Reply ButtonReply

Bellarose

I’m not feeling this box! It feels like the dollar store items. I do like 3 items from the first customization.

Reply ButtonReply

Carrie

I mean, if you do like skincare, most of these items are very expensive (and you would truly pay that much– these are top end brands!) but if skincare isn’t your thing, I can see how this could feel like a major bummer. For me, I would buy the CC me serum, the Supergoop and the shampoo, all at the regular price, so everything else is gravy!! African Botanicals is also a great brand, although I don’t need to be gold.

Reply ButtonReply

Charlotte

I just canceled. I was really hoping for some home decor objects. I am so overloaded on skincare, makeup, and body/hair stuff atm. If I was an annual member, there’s enough here I like that I wouldn’t skip this box, but as a seasonal member I don’t see anything that’s worth $50 to me. The only thing I was excited about was the Oaui shampoo, and it’s cheaper to just buy that on its own.

Reply ButtonReply

Amy G

Between the bracelet kit, activity books, pool towel, sunscreen, pool pouch, etc., all that’s missing is a sleeping bag and a bag of marshmallows and this would be a perfect summer camp-themed box.

Reply ButtonReply

Kellee

I couldn’t agree more. Love the idea of a summer camp theme.
I can’t relate to most of the comments. Money’s always tight and FFF is my way of splurging so, I’m having the opposite problem. I have multiple choices in each customization.
This is my second year and I’m loving it. And on the rare occasion I don’t like anything in the column, I pick something out for a friend.

Reply ButtonReply

Charlotte

Tbh, I probably would have kept this sub if they offered a sleeping bag. Not many sub boxes offering those!

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

A sleeping bag would be awesome! Especially one that can handle cold/near freezing weather.

louise

I was loving the box until this point. However I guess I will forgo the serum in Customization 1 and get this serum as I have 2 makeup setting sprays already and with wearing a face mask for over a year I have not worn foundation so no need for another setting spray and the body shimmer while expensive I would not get a lot of use and I would not use the activity books

Reply ButtonReply

Lori

I actually don’t hate everything, haha. I can definitely see where some of the hate is coming from, though.

Thankfully, my skin loves Vitamin C, so I won’t be mad even if I got 2.

Can I just say, though, that all the pop up ads on MSA are starting to get *really* annoying?

Reply ButtonReply

Bethany

Agreed on the pop ups, Lori! Like, stop already.

Reply ButtonReply

Carrie

Yeah it’s super annoying.

Susan

Agreed!!! I’ve X’d out of them, clicked no thanks and try continually pop up again. I’ve entered my email hoping that would stop it but then it says my email is already on the account 🤦🏼‍♀️ MSA needs to fix this for yes it’s getting annoying.

Reply ButtonReply

Susan

OMG agreed about the pop up box!!! I kept X’ing out and it comes back. So I decided to put my email in and it then says my email is already in the account. So why must it keep popping up. MSA must correct this and stop it from popping up

Reply ButtonReply

Mk

I have been a member since 2013 and I can confidently say this is the worst box I have ever seen.
There is nothing here that I can’t get a TJ Maxx or Dollar store… I was hoping they would have more home goods to balance out all the moisturizers/Vit. C – I also live in the desert so the beach theme doesn’t work… I guess I will swap for addon credit.

Reply ButtonReply

Carrie

I can guarantee you that you can’t get supergoop or summer fridays or Ouai at TJ Maxx. You might not like those items, and I thought last months box was a bust but these are really good deals.

Reply ButtonReply

Sue

Stop saying that! Just because you haven’t seen it doesn’t mean others haven’t. I regularly buy Ouai at Tj Max at a huge discount. 🤐 already!
