Enchanted Crystal of the Month December Review
First, you'll see a greeting from Adam of Enchanted Crystal. I love these personal notes as they explain behind the scenes details. I enjoyed reading Adam's thoughts on gratitude this month.
Our specimen this month is Rhodonite!
Rhodonite
FYI: This piece is about 3 inches tall.
I love points and I love pink! This is a very pretty delivery this month. Rhodonite forms in massive chunks that are then cut into different shapes, like my point here. The different layers and colors inside speak to the conditions that formed it and make it feel like an individual little painting just for me! This stone is also the mineral behind one of my favorite watercolor paints by Daniel Smith.
Super cool to see the actual stone!
Enchanted Crystal always sends bonus crystals or minerals in a small bag as well.
Good to Know: These are smaller and about an inch or less long.
Banded Amethyst
Amethyst is a favorite stone for many and it's obvious why. That purple color is a dream! This is a banded variety and you can see a few white bands on the left side of the piece in the first picture.
Carnelian
This little chunk is another banded beauty. I have always thought Carnelian was underrated. The range of orange here is gorgeous in some sort of peachy pink sort of way and the banding makes them feel almost like modern art. And peek those freckles!!
Red Jasper
Red jasper is my favorite shade of red. I want it in a nail polish, a lipstick, and a few shirts. This piece features a dramatic black band.
Verdict: This month's Enchanted Crystal selection arrived in my fave color: pink! It also was really cool to reference it against the watercolor paint I have that is made of the same material! I also loved the little bonus minerals this month and think that this orange, red, pink, purple color palette might be my color story for 2020. I am pretty taken with it!
