If you don't choose by that date, GlobeIn will send you a random box based on what's in stock. They do guarantee that you won't receive a duplicate theme!

GlobeIn "Boho" Box Review

Each box from GlobeIn contains a booklet that talks more about the theme for the box and the items inside. This little booklet is almost as valuable to me as the items inside the box, because it gives background on each piece and often includes names and photos of the artisans behind them. I absolutely love knowing more about the products and the hands that crafted each item.

Time to check out our handmade goodies!

Sierra Whitewashed Terracotta Planter, Bangladesh

Measurements: 4.5" H x 5.5" W.

Materials: Whitewashed terracotta

I have a plant problem so I am always collecting new planters. This one is so cute with its little feet! Sure, it lacks a drainage hole (I prefer those in all of my planters) but it is perfect for dropping a plastic planter into to dress it up without a full-blown replant. If you lack a green thumb or just don't need a planter right now, it is also a great size for makeup brushes, pens, and more!

Unity Raffia Trivet, Uganda

Measurements: 10" across

Materials: Raffia Grass

This is my favorite piece this month. I LOVE woven and basket pieces and I have been compiling more pieces like this for my living room wall. I have a few antique baskets that are already hanging on the wall (well, they were before we took them down to paint this weekend!) and this round piece is perfect for adding some pretty color. I was surprised at how heavy duty this thing was, too! You could totally use it as a trivet if you wanted. I love that it was made by a single mom who is using her craft to support her family and inspire others in her community. The included card came with an extra discount for her pieces exclusively to GlobeIn subscribers and I think I might have to add another one of her gorgeous creations to my growing wall.

Lacquered Coconut Bowl, Vietnam

Measurements: about 5" by 5"

Materials: Natural Coconut and lacquer

I have found coconut bowls in subscriptions before, but I don't think one has ever arrived that was so pretty. I love the minty metallic interior! I have little catch-all bowls all over the house because I am someone who tends to just shed her jewelry and other important little things randomly. Bowls like this are handy for dropping my earrings, rings, watch, keys, ANYTHING really I know I will likely lose if I just set it down on a table.

Grasslands Table Runner, India

Measurements: 18.25" wide x 56" long

Materials: Bengalese madur grass

Sure, Will and I aren't hosting any fun gatherings in our home so far this year, but that is no reason not to decorate the table extra special for dinners in. Personally, I think my cooking deserves a pretty tablescape and this runner has some serious summer vibes! It also looks really great with my colorful Fiestaware collection.

The Verdict: The GlobeIn 'Boho' box was one of my faves as of late. Sometimes this box can feel like it is missing an item to free complete for either the theme for value, but I thought this month was great! I loved everything inside. My favorite is by far that trivet turned wall art, but the planter was a close second. The coconut bowl is already collecting my tiny accessories in the living room, and the runner looks great across my dining room table.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? This box is not available as of publication, but it may restock in the future. Check this page to see if it has returned plus all the other available options.

Note: You need to choose your theme by the 10th of each month or they will select one for you. From GlobeIn:

We'll always try our best to send you the new theme, but it's not a guarantee. To ensure that you know what you will receive, you can choose your own theme from the 1st-10th of the month.

To be eligible for the current month's shipment, please subscribe by the 15th of the month. Premium Boxes typically start shipping around the 18th-21st of every month (the exact day boxes go out varies since our boxes are shipped in batches).

Add-ons are not available during this time, but you'll be able to choose add-ons from the 1st-10th for your next box.

  • Example: If you subscribe on November 16th, your first box will be the December Premium Box. Please note that you can choose your theme and add-ons between 1st-10th of the upcoming month.

Value Breakdown: At $50.00 for this box ($40.00 + $10.00 shipping), each of the 4 items has an average cost of $12.50.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I would recommend waiting to sign up for GlobeIn until their delivery and customer service issues have improved.

Hi JV,

Thank you for this honest feedback and we want you to know that we are listening!

We have recently hired additional Customer Support Representatives and are actively hiring more to assist with our response time and delays. Also, we are happy to announce that we are in the process of switching fulfillment centers! As GlobeIn continues to grow, we needed to find a new facility that can handle the additional monthly shipments in a more efficient manner with less damages. This move will tremendously improve shipping issues in the coming months! We expect to have your boxes out on time, prevent damages, and not have any missing items.

We hope this helps explain how GlobeIn is working to improve as a company. If you have any additional questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].

Thank you,
The GlobeIn Team

Fyi – Each of the items can be bought separately in their shop:

Runner $35
Trivet $26
Bowl $22
Planter $24

total: $107!

That’s quite a savings, especially for a box that provides fair trade products only. I can’t recommend this box highly enough!!
