I have been trying to update my account for 3 months, when I try to log into the site, they tell my my e-mail is not found even though I have been receiving boxes. I have sent 4 messages and have had NO response to any of them. The phone number on my credit card statement does not connect. I am totally frustrated, and disappointed with Ellen, as I have always liked her and expected better service from something she advertises.

They messed up my address twice, shipped the same box twice and do not respond to emails. I have sent one each week for 2 months with absolutely no reply. The phone number they put on your credit card statement goes to a voice mail that “has not been setup”. Very disappointing that whomever is handling these boxes is doing such a dis-justice to Ellen’s name. Tried to cancel online, but when you click on the subscription button it says “token no longer valid” and errors out. Had to finally report it to the credit card company. Because of my support of Ellen, I will be taking the same amount as the boxed cost and donating it to her Gorilla fund.

i just heard about this box thing and I say I am not impressed with the selections. 54.99 seems a bit high for some sample sized items and other items that you get. I thought about joining until I read the comments and saw what was actually in this last box. I know Ellen is a great giver but I will pass on this…besides I need the 55.00 bucks more than a useless trinket.

Are they having order fulfillment problems or shipping issues?

I ask because I’ve received two different boxes free. I’m not complaining, but there’s a chance that’s how the double billing is happening. People who once were customers are somehow getting the boxes.

I hope they get things fixed. I am absolutely sure I was not charged. The card on file with them expired months ago and had no replacement at all.

( I also got a free winter PSMH second box. Do these companies have anything in common regarding billing or shipment centers?)

That is very interesting because I still have not received my winter box or a tracking number for the box. I’ve been sending messages since December 17 and they have not provided any useful information. I ordered the box for my daughter for Christmas. My credit card was charged and I paid it. I’m very sad and don’t know what to try next. From looking at the website, the winter boxes are sold out, so I think I will have to ask for a refund and come up with something else for my daughter.

Donna – I truly hope you receive your box. I worry because they seem to have shipped (unwanted) duplicates to so many people that they may not have inventory anymore. Have you emailed support (at) bekindbyellen (dot) com and used the subject line of ATT:MSA? (I altered the email addy bc I think comments are delayed in posting here when they include a full email addy). That is your best bet in terms of getting a response (some have had luck with this, others less so, but it’s still the best option). And with all of that said – were there specific items in the box you wanted? Although I swapped a couple of items from my box via the MSA swap site, I still have most of the contents and would be happy to pass some or all of what I have left along to you if you’d like, as there isn’t much in there of interest to me (ok, I did eat the almonds, lol).

Hi, my issue is everything! I was charged for a yearly subscription that I cancelled and then received 3 boxes in the last 2 weeks. If I hadn’t gotten on this site I would not have even thought to but an ATTN: MSA. The customer service is horrible to say the least. I Have no idea what to do with the 3 boxes.

Please send me one if your boxes. I subscribed for a year in Oct., got the fall box, and haven’t seen a thing since. I don’t even know how many customer support emails I have sent, with absolutely NO REPLY!! If somebody out there can help me to at least get a winter box, I would appreciate it. Otherwise, I’m canceling. This is very disappointing…

Within a day of my e mail I received a refund for both boxes and told to keep both of them. They were KIND. I am relieved.

A friend that I work with and I both subscribe to the Ellen box. We both were invoiced twice, our credit cards were charged twice and neither of us can get any response from our messages to them. We both got our second box today that we didn’t want. We’ve both tried emailing about this to [email protected] again tonight. Mistakes happen but this issue has apparently been going on since the beginning of December and with all the emails I get regarding Ellen boxes you would think I would get one saying we have an issue, how to handle it, and an apology. It’s Christmas and they’ve just double charged ALL of our credit cards.

If I had not seen the comments here, I would not have been aware that they charged me twice as well.
Once on December 3 and again on Dec 17. Both show as fulfilled.
I only received one box and did not order a second.

It’s disappointing they are not proactively correcting their billing errors.
I wonder how many others were not aware and have lost 54.99 to them.

I have loved getting these boxes and gifting things that I wouldn’t use and I love supporting Ellen and her Be Kind initiative. However, I’m confused. I was charged on December 4, 2019 for $54.99 for my December box, which hasn’t even arrived yet (supposed to arrive on December 18) yet today I received an email and a charge on my account for another $54.99, but I’m not sure what it’s for at this point. I sent an email to Customer Service but I’m not expecting a reply seeing that everyone is having problems getting responses. Is there another box coming out right after the New Year that I’m already charged for?

You are not alone. This happened to me too (charged on 12/4 and then again 12/17), and others as well (there are comments on another MSA thread about this). I too will be emailing CS and if they don’t fix it within a few days I will go to my credit card to dispute the charge. There isn’t another box – at least, not that they have indicated. I believe this is just a big error on their part.

Good luck emailing CS. I have not received a response to 7 emails. I have been charged $193 and that was after I cancelled. In addition I received 3 boxes in 2 weeks. Customer Service is awful.

I hope they make things right or I will be canceling this box and I really liked it. Last year when it first came out, I signed up and had a charge on my credit card. Then about 6 weeks later I was charged again. I went back through my statement and the charge from the initial sign up was gone. I heard that there was a mix up in billing and boxes were sent out without actually being paid for. I don’t know if that is true or not, but I couldn’t find the initial charge. Anyway, being charged another $54.99 this month is irritating. If I wanted to spend $110 on a box in a month, it surely wouldn’t be this one lol. I’m hoping it gets taken care of quickly. I had emailed them before coming to this site, so if I don’t hear back in the next day or so, I’ll email with the “attn: MSA” in the title to see if anything happens faster. I’m dumbfounded that all of these people are having the same thing happen to them. It makes no sense and I think their CS needs a quick overhaul.

I’ve been happy with this box from the first, but I do think that diffuser set them up for some high expectations. Subsequent boxes haven’t met those expectations, but I love the variety of items and have purchased from a few of the companies featured. I am happy to see that there were no app codes in this box from what I can tell though I was able to share them with people who put them to use. The whole BE KIND concept is obviously foreign to some people which is unfortunate. I’ve not needed to contact customer service so can’t speak to that, but seems like some valid concerns for others which is also unfortunate. It’s not an inexpensive box, and I wouldn’t order it if I was on a tighter budget since there is no apparent theme and I’d never know what to expect or how useful the inclusions might be.

If you sent Ellen support an email check your spam boxes. My reply went to spam. I was sent two fall boxes and they corrected the issue.

Did it take long for them to correct? I was just sent an additional Fall Box. They did fix my Black Friday overcharge though…so that’s good I guess.

I subscribed in September I got my first box in October and was charged $54 on December 1 I got another box and was charged $54 However the last box I got which was the December one was identical to the September so I got to Saint boxes got charged $109 and nobody will acknowledge my request my review my unhappiness I love Ellen but this crap is scam nobody pays attention to our reviews are issues no one

My customer service experience has been very very poor. After subscribing and receiving the FALL box in October, they auto charged my subscription in November and sent me another FALL box. Two requests to Customer Service over the last 4 days have gone unanswered. I will now try the ATTN: MSA but it really shouldn’t require a special email trick when they have erroneously charged my credit card and sent me an order I didn’t place.

Customer service is abysmally nonresponsive. After upgraded to premium, I received a second fall box I didn’t request. The holiday box isn’t anything special, and the brand-identified wrapping paper is just crass. I can’t see upgrading yielded anything but a higher bill, inconvenience, and diminished trust.

I find it interesting that in order to get customer service to respond to your email you need to put “Att: MSA” in the subject line. Why would they not respond to the clients first request? I guess it shows MSA has pull…. thank you MSA for helping readers get responses!

I was thinking a similar thing…but your thoughts were much kinder than mine were! 😉 While it’s great that MSA has pull, and I really appreciate that, it’s really unacceptable that it seems the only way you can get response is to use MSA’s pull. It shouldn’t be too much to ask for ALL customers to get a response to their valid concerns (and things like being charged again when you cancelled, or receiving duplicates of the same box, are definitely valid concerns!), not just the ones who see their info on this forum. If they aren’t able to address their customers’ valid issues, then seems like maybe it’s time to call it a day on the Be Kind box.

I cancelled after the fall box, I enjoyed the first box but the rest have been fails for me, even have the confirmation email. But guess what, I was charged AGAIN! I canceled again, have another confirmation email. Hopefully I don’t get charged for a spring box.

I love Ellen! Not crazy about her Subscription Box though. I got three of them then unsubscribed. That floss will not fit through tight, close teeth. My teeth just break it off. I use glide most all the time.

Wow! I commented on the fall box I never received, and then read through the comments. Obviously, I am far from alone with my disappointment and frustration with Customer Service, particularly in their lack of responsiveness.
Yet, Customer Service has commented all over this comment section. It’s so patronizing of them to remind us to “Be Kind” when they, in turn, are taking our money, and not providing a service and/or product.
Epic Fail!
Avoid this box. Donate your money, time, and talents.

I signed up for the annual and didn’t get charged for an extra fall box, but received one. Yay!
As far as the holiday box I’m loving it! I’m happy to have extra wrapping paper, and this box seems much more curated to me. I don’t need a travel hair straightener but I can easily gift it. Now if I can just be lucky enough to get 12 days of Christmas tickets or something else “big”!!!

I been a subscriber since the first box and I couldn’t be happier that my CC changed and they couldnt bill me earlier.
I been waiting to see any spoilers and honestly I am done. The Holiday Box was going to be my i keep or reject and I believe my Fall box was my last.
It started good but for my liking it is going downhill
