The GlobeIn Premium Box is a monthly artisan subscription that sends you original home items created by global artisans. Each box contains handcrafted items from around the world and the stories of the artists who made the pieces.

GlobeIn offers one new theme every month. They also have 3-5 best-selling theme boxes that they restock each month. Users have from the 1st to the 10th of the month to make their theme choice. If you don't choose by that date, GlobeIn will send you a random box based on what's in stock. They do guarantee that you won't receive a duplicate theme!

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

GlobeIn October 2019 "Revive" Box Review

Each box from GlobeIn contains a booklet that talks more about the theme for the box and the items inside. This little booklet is almost as valuable to me as the items inside the box, because it gives background on each piece and often includes names and photos of the artisans behind them. I absolutely love knowing more about the products and the hands that crafted each item.

Also included this month was a booklet with the 2018 GlobeIn Social Impact Report. It included all sorts of info about the artisans behind the scenes, the brand's social responsibility, and more!

Time to check out our handmade goodies. Just a heads up, since there aren't prices listed in the booklet for the items, I'm going off the prices given in this GlobeIn spoilers post for items I couldn't find online. Also worth noting is that there were two box variants this month!

Handmade Elephant Heating Pad, India - Listed Value $25.00

Measurements: 10″x 8.5″

Materials: Upcycled Cotton Sari

This cute elephant is made of recycled cotton sari fabric. Simply toss it into the microwave for 1-2 minutes and it turns into a natural heating pad. I actually have a similar one at home that is filled with rice and lavender buds and it gets a lot of use during the winter under blankets. My little senior Miniature Pinscher, Piper, really loved it, and since this one is larger I can't wait to warm it up for her and wrap it in her blankets as the nights start to get really cold. I am sure she will be thrilled since she stays so chilly!

Blue Pottery Oil Diffuser, India - Listed Value $25.00

Measurements: 3″D x 4″H

Materials: Blue Pottery Ceramic

I have quite the collection of essential oils and I use them in my diffuser often. I have seen candle warming oil diffusers before but never really tried one. I really like the minimal black design and think it would look really very pretty in my bedroom once we finish renovations. All you need is a little votive and your favorite oil to create fragrance and ambiance!

Assorted Hand-Crocheted Headband, Uganda/Peru ($25 value)

Measurements: One Size Fits Most.

Materials: Crocheted Cotton

I don't really ever wear headbands, even in the winter, so this might be a regift for me. I do actually like the colorway and pattern that ended up in my box (these were random) and found that it was somehow snug yet still comfortable on my head. Bonus points for the 100% cotton knit fabric.

Perfect for keeping hair back and my ears nice and toasty!

Palm Table Basket, Bangladesh - Listed Value $20.00

Measurements: 9″ x 8.5″ x 3″

Materials: Palm Leaf

You all know I love baskets. I have them all over my house and even on my walls! At first, I was a little bit underwhelmed by how simple this one is, but then I looked closer and started to really appreciate it more. I don't actually have many square baskets and this one is exceptionally sturdy. It looks really great on one of our guestroom bathrooms holding necessities such as tissues, cotton rounds, and fancy soaps.

The Verdict: GlobeIn sent some super cozy cold-weather items this month. I am actually much more appreciative of the heating pad elephant that I expected I would be from the spoilers. Piper is going to love it! I also thought the oil diffuser was beautifully done and as someone who uses oils a lot, I will totally find use for this quite often. I was less enthusiastic about the headband, but I will say it was beautifully made and comfortable to wear. I always love getting a basket in this subscription (still holding out for a basket only subscription, hint hint!) and this minimal square one is a nice and functional addition to my evergrowing collection.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

Is the elephant just fabric or is it filled with something? Curious how well it holds heat if it’s only fabric.

It’s filled with rice or something else natural. I don’t remember what they said in the reveal video and couldn’t find info online. And the covering is recycled sari I believe.
