Motherhood Survival Box "Treat Yourself" Review

This first card is a nice thank you note to subscribers for their support. The second card highlights our theme which is Tis' the Season to...Treat Yourself! They list the products in the box and give a brief description of them which I always appreciate. It looks like this winter box is valued at $75. Let's see what we received!

Bulldog Yoga 2 Weeks Free Online Classes

While I do love a good yoga class, I'm not sure how much use I will get out of these 2 free weeks of unlimited classes considering I have three kiddos at home with me. I do like that you can access the classes from any device at any time which is convenient. I am not going to count this toward the value of the box though because it looks like they offer a 30-day free trial on their website anyway!

365 Days of Happiness: Because Happiness is a Piece of Cake by Jacqueline Pirtle - Retail Value $24.99

This book is probably the best format for busy mamas as you read your way to happiness one short chapter at a time. The pages are filled with inspiration and daily passages that encourage you to find happiness in your life each and every day. I haven't started really using this yet, but when I do, I plan to use this to help with one of my own mommy goals of taking a little bit of me time in the morning. I love that these pages can give me some focus for that time!

Some passages are longer than others while others are short and sweet and give you just a little something to think about optimistically during your day. I kind of love little daily inspirations like this because I find that somehow you always manage to get the message you need right when you need it the most!

Joree Ree Velvet Leather Tassel Necklace - Retail Value $9.99

One of the things I love about this box is that they love to support small, mommy-owned businesses like this one! This necklace is handmade and I love the mix of black and gold. This is a great style that will go with just about any outfit whether it's casual or a little dressy.

Here is a closeup of the gemstone and clasp, which is adjustable so you can change it to your desired length.

True North Collection Double Twist Headband - Retail Value $12

I never wear headbands because my head is huge and they give me headaches or never end up fitting right, but I have been rocking this one all weekend with no problems! It is a nice wide, soft band of two layers of fabric that stay on throughout all of the diaper changes, meal prep, and other busy mommy tasks I complete all day long. The colors and striped pattern are also very much my style, but they have so many cute ones on their site that I may have to get a second one! Here it is pictured with the necklace from above, although I hadn't had a chance to figure out how to style it yet here. For a cuter look, you can see how they have it on the model in the link. Also, this is another woman-owned business that started as a small shop on Etsy!

The Modern Mamahood Roller Bottle in Sane Mama - Retail Value $14

What mommy doesn't need a little miracle roller like this to stash in her purse? I love the subtle, but clear goal of this design. I also love all of the oils they used which are ylang-ylang, bergamot, orange, and frankincense. I'm not sure it's helping with my sanity (I'm too far gone! Haha!), but the scent is nice and light and not too overwhelming. This is from another mom-owned business with a goal of providing clean, safe products for mama and baby.

Tony's Choco Lonely in Milk Caramel Sea Salt - Retail Value $2.25

This chocolate was delicious! It was a bar of nice smooth milk chocolate filled with these crunchy, salty, chewy bits of caramel all throughout. I love the fun shape of the bar and this company has a mission towards providing 100% slave-free chocolate, which is a totally worthy cause and makes you feel even better eating this tasty treat!

Verdict: I was excited to see what this original Motherhood Survival Box had to offer since I have previously only reviewed the "mini" boxes and this one did not disappoint! This box was definitely a nice treat for myself like the theme suggests and this is one of those rare boxes where I really will use each and every single item. I also love that I get introduced to great new small businesses sometimes owned by fellow mamas through this box. The total retail value of the box is $63.23 and I think that's a great value for a $49.95 (+ free shipping) box full of fun and useful products! If you take into account the 2-weeks of unlimited yoga, the value just reaches their promised value of $75 since it is valued at $16 for a month (although they do offer daily passes too).

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

Elizabeth

I’m used to paying a premium for shipping to Canada. Most America based boxes charge me an extra $5 to ship to Canada, max I’ve paid is $7. $25 for shipping is ridiculous, it’s not like we’re overseas… too bad because I would have liked this box!! Looks fun.

Hi Elizabeth, I was mistaken! Their pricing recently changed and the shipping to Canada is $10 per quarter and I have updated the review to reflect this. Thanks for bringing this to my attention! 🙂
