November 2018 "Thankful For You" Review

This month I received four makeup artist-approved brushes for eyes and face. All of these brushes are from the Artist Series and have precision synthetic and natural bristles. Let’s see what I got:

The theme this month is "Thankful For You".

brushes with info

The info card comes with a photo and short description of how you can use each brush. Many brushes can be used for many different things, so you can make them work best for you.

It’s good to note that you can check their blog for a video rundown of the brushes and how to use them as well.

M106 Unique Pointed Dome - Retail Value $5

This sable bristle brush is exactly the kind of brush I like to use for blush; it's fluffy and soft but compact enough to put color right where I want it. I wanted to see if it performed well as a bronzer brush like the info card suggested. It did! I normally use a huge fluffy brush for bronzer, but I appreciate the smaller size to help me get a more contoured look.

M457 Large Duo Fiber Dome Buffer - Retail Value $20

This synthetic and sable duo-fiber brush is full and soft. It's intended to apply powder blush which is how I've used it here. It does a great job of blending blush onto my cheeks but I also think it is the perfect brush to blend in bronzer or contour for a diffused glow.

M574 Pencil Crease - Retail Value $5

For my crease, I've packed some brown shadow on with this rounded goat bristle brush. The generous size and tapered point covers a lot of ground fast and really works lots of color in at once. I had to go back in with a clean fluffy brush to blend out the harsh lines and diffuse the color on my lids.

M250-0 Detail Liner - Retail Value $2.50

This is a super short, thin liner brush that is perfect for using with gel liners. I was easily able to achieve a thin to thick stroke with sharp points at either end. The synthetic bristle are stiff but still silky and hold just the right amount of liner for the best control.

all brushes with completed look

Here is my completed look! Besides my brow spoolie and shadow blending brush, I was able to do this whole look with just these brushes.

Verdict: MorpheMe Monthly Brush Club sent four MUA level brushes this month that have a total retail value of $32.50. All of the shapes are different than the brushes I've received over the past few months which is great. I really like the large dome buffer and the liner brush!

Interestingly, the large duo fiber buffer is actually listed as a foundation brush on Morphe’s site. I used it after I put my foundation on to blend it a little more. It’s a pretty versatile brush. I’ve really liked this sub so far, it’s great if you want to increase your brush collection quickly. It’s easy to swap brushes or skip a month. A very user friendly site and great customer service too.
