The first question people ask when I tell them I use a jewelry rental service is "Wait, what's renting like?" Spoiler alert—it's awesome. You can read all about my experience here!
But the second question—the one that I personally love gabbing about the most—is "What kind of jewelry do they have?" It's important to ask! After all, if you don't dig the styles that a rental service offers, then there's no way you'll get as much value from the experience as you deserve.
So, to help you get acquainted with Rocksbox (which I've been using for over a year now and LOVE), I wanted to introduce you to some of my favorite Rockbox designers. You might be surprised who's on this list!
With Rocksbox, you can try 3 pieces from these designers (and many more) for just $21 per set, which is HUGE if you're budget-conscious like me. 1. Kate Spade
Yep, Kate Spade is on Rocksbox! I've been a fan of this super famous jewelry brand since high school. As someone who tends to have more playful tastes, Kate Spade's twists on classic shapes and styles are right up my alley. Think of a pretty gold pendant necklace with the most delicate pretzel-shaped charm, chic stud earrings with iridescent rainbow crystals, and my purr-sonal favorite, the polished cuff bracelet with kitty ears that I got in my October box!
2. House of Harlow 1960
House of Harlow 1960 is one of those cool, vintage-inspired designers that always catches my eye when I'm poking around chic shops like Nordstrom Rack. (But even at outlet prices, it's hard to find a price as good as the Rocksbox $21 rental fee—and that's $21 for 3 pieces, by the way.) I love the way their designs fuse Gatsby-era art deco shapes and contemporary boho vibes. Their edgy cuff bracelets, geometric necklaces, and awesome ear jackets capture that cool-LA-gal-on-her-way-to-an-art-show air.
3. Kendra Scott
Kendra Scott has the most traditional aesthetic of the Rocksbox designers, in my opinion. The service in general definitely leans more modern, but they do have a ton of Kendra Scott pieces, which feature classic shapes and settings with contemporary touches, like uniquely colored gems and pearlescent finishes. There are understated styles that are great for adding elegance to day-to-day looks, and statement looks like dangling earrings and queenly cuff bracelets for when you really want to turn up the drama.
4. Gorjana
Love boho styles? Gorjana is for you! The Gorjana pieces I've gotten via my Rocksbox subscription have all had that effortless, delicate aesthetic that pairs beautifully with a breezy white tee, some impossibly comfortable, cuffed jeans, and oh, I don't know... a sun-drenched beach? (Beaches are probably my favorite accessory. Yours, too?) Their long, layered necklaces and beautifully bitty earrings are a must for summer, but I find they add the perfect, subtle twinkle to holiday sweater dresses, too.
5. Perry Street
Perry Street is quickly becoming my favorite brand on Rocksbox. When you're a subscriber, you can add items to a wishlist (your stylist will then pick pieces from your wishlist to include in the sets they send you) and every time I add to mine, I'm almost always picking these colorful, super on-trend pieces before anything else. Their specialty is earrings—I'm currently eyeing some tortoiseshell circle earrings, but they've also got some chandelier styles with brightly colored crystals, and voluminous fringey tassel earrings that I think would be AWESOME at a holiday party. One thing I love about renting is that I can try trendy styles before I buy, and Perry Street gives me lots of options to play with!
