GlossyBox is a monthly beauty subscription box. They have the best packaging in the business, their products are usually a deluxe size or full size, and the value is usually good too.

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

FYI: GlossyBox sends out multiple variations of the box during some months. So, there may be some variation between what I review and what you receive.

The Subscription Box: GLOSSYBOX

The Cost: $21 a month (save more with 6-month or annual subscription)

The Products: Deluxe and full-size beauty products.

Ships to: US and Canada

Each box comes with a fold-out card detailing the items included:

Now, on to the items!

Temple Spa Repose Aromatherapy Resting Cream - 15 ml Value $18

(This item may be a variant.)

This cream is made with essential oils (lavender, chamomile, etc.) and designed to help you relax before bedtime, plus soothe and moisturize your skin. It absorbs quickly, felt gentle on my skin, and I'm a fan of the scent, too. This is a win for me!

Gilchrist & Soames English Garden Body Lotion - 2 oz Value $3.10

(This item may be a variant.)

This is a lightweight, heavily-perfumed lotion. I liked how quickly it absorbed, but the scent was just too strong for me.

Karl Lagerfeld + ModelCo Lip Pencil in Rosewood - Retail Value $29

(This item is in all boxes.)

This color is gorgeous! It glides on easily, has a satin finish, and the pigment is great, too. (Swatched in lower photo.)

Ardency Inn Punker Rock On Waterproof Liquid Liner - FULL SIZE! Retail Value $22

This liquid liner stays put as soon as it dries, but as you can see in the swatch picture below it bleeds a bit before it sets.

Absolute New York Icon Mini Eye Shadow Palette - FULL SIZE! Retail Value $8.99

(This item is in all boxes.)

This mini palette includes 3 mattes, and 3 shimmers:

Here it is swatched beneath the lip liner and the eyeliner:

The powders had some fallout, and the pigment was good but not great, so I definitely recommend using a primer with these shades, but I think the quality is good for an $8.99 palette.

Emite Make Up Professional Eye Lash Curler - Retail Value $25

(This item is in all boxes.)

I'm always happy to get makeup tools in subscription boxes, so this is a welcome addition to the box. And it comes with 3 replacement rubber pads.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $106. The value is great for the $21 cost. Not every product is a win/exciting for me, so it's not my favorite Glossybox, but I definitely feel like I got a good value and enough products I'll use to justify the $21 cost.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes!

JULY BOX
posting in June section as July not open yet for comments. At one point I was up to 15 makeup subs- so I feel I’m pretty versed in cost/value out there.

I HAD decided that Glossybox would be the one sub I continued. Not now. The JULY box is the chinziest box ever.

Really, it’s more trouble to get rid off the packing material than the contents are worth. I would have rather had a Walmart or Allure box. So- apparently the biz model for these subs is to give you some great value at first – then once they have your annual sub you are given crap.

I would have been happy with one nice lipstick even. So tired of these games- I thought Glossy was different… nope. In fact, it may be the worse for getting my hopes up!

I never understood why a Glossy had a rather low rating- now I know. You don’t even get a pretty pink box this month (in case you have been using them for any matching organization project).

No coupon either.

I received everything pictures except for the liner. I instead received Palm Beach perfume from The Artist’s Studio with Lou Taylor by Lux Beauty Group. The scent is nice and the packaging for the perfume is adorable.

I am happy with this month’s box. Instead of the liner I received The Artist’s Studio by Lux Beauty Group .5 oz perfume. It comes in a colorful tube held in a matching rectangular box with a magnetic closure. The info sheets states that scents will vary. My scent is Palm Beach.

I like everything except the eyeliner (I never use them). I couldn’t find the coupon, though. Where is it hiding?
