Bath Bevy Escape To Paradise May 2018 Review
This box included an info sheet with details on the products, plus exclusive coupons to the included brands!
Bath Bevy Escape To Paradise Bath Salts, 6 oz
Bath Bevy is venturing into making bath and body products along with curating these boxes, and I think their first product is a success! These salts provided a fair amount of bubbles for being a bubbling bath salt (usually the bubbles from salts like these are minimal and disappear quickly), and I loved the salts for soothing my sore and aching muscles. The heavenly tropical scent was the perfect finishing touch, and I am excited to see what products Bath Bevy makes next!
Get Naked Bath and Body Co Around the World Foaming Scrub, 4 oz – Retail Value $12
Soap and Scrub combos are an item I didn’t know existed before reviewing boxes, and they are a game changer for me. I love that scrubs like these turn two steps into one, as I can get clean and exfoliate my skin at the same time. This foamed up nicely and left my skin feeling soft, clean, and refreshed.
Mad and Mac Bath Island Romance Flip Flop Bubble Bar, 5 oz – Estimated Value $6.75
I found the same bubble bar in the same scent, less decorative design, but weighing a little more. I called it a wash and I think the value is the same. I tried a new trick with this bubble bar that I saw on Instagram— instead of crumbling a piece of the bar into the running water, I put it in a fine mesh kitchen strainer and held it under the water. That resulted in more effort than my usual use, but it also resulted in a LOT more bubbles. I had bubbles everywhere, plus the heavenly tropical scent of pineapple and passion fruit.
Raw Escape to Paradise Lip Balm, 0.15 oz – Estimated Value $5
The lip balm in my box is pineapple + orange scented, and I could only find a pineapple + coconut scent to link to. Either way, pineapple is bae, and I keep reaching for this super moisturizing and hydrating lip balm to soothe my chapped lips. The combination of beeswax, coconut oil, and three types of butter makes for a really great lip balm— if you’re in the market for a new one, check this out!
Bare Naked Bath Once Upon a Tide Bath Bombs, 2 Small Bath Bombs – Estimated value $5
This pair of sand castle bath bombs is, quite simply, fantastic. One little bomb filled my entire bathroom and most of my bedroom with a heavenly tropical scent thanks to the citrus, pineapple, and coconut. Plus, I was delighted to see the yellow color peek out once the bomb started dissolving! I am saving the other sand castle for a special occasion, and I am looking at buying one of every bath bomb this company sells… oops. Value-wise, I am not sure of the weight of these bombs, and I estimated based on what the other bath bombs go for. That being said, it feels like I am undervaluing it.
Ocean Bubbles Co Tropical Oasis Bath Bomb, 5 oz – Retail Value $3
I cannot believe the retail value of this bath bomb— that is a STEAL for a bath bomb of this size and quality! The gorgeous purple color has green and blue that comes out as the bomb dissolves, and it is a real treat. The scent itself was light and fresh, and it was perfect for relaxing in a warm bath of heaven.
Bonus- Flower Loofah!
Also included in the box was this adorable flower loofah! I love the big surface area of this thing, as it makes exfoliating my legs quick and easy. This was fun paired with the foaming scrub for ultimate exfoliation before shaving my legs.
Verdict: This months box from Bath Bevy felt like it was curated especially for me— I LOVE tropical scents like pineapple and coconut, and it is even better when those amazing scents are combined. Value-wise, this box costs $42.95 ($36.95 + $6 shipping), and I calculated a value of $31.75 for most of the items (not including the bath salts or the loofah). However, some of those values feel really low to me (a self-proclaimed bath product connoisseur), and if you appreciate tropical scents than the personal value is going to be a lot higher than that as well.
To Wrap Up:
Can you get this box if you still sign up today? No, you will receive the June box. From Bath Bevy:
Your box will ship on the first week of every month. Please order by the last day of the month to get the following month’s box.
Value Breakdown: This box cost $42.95 ($36.95 + $6 shipping) for 6 items (not including the loofah). That breaks down to $7.16 per item, and I would happily pay that for every item in the box.
