BuddhiBox Yoga April 2018 Box Review

BuddhiBox April 2018 Mantra

BuddhiBox April 2018 Packing List

BuddhiBox always includes a card with a mantra or saying on it. On the reverse is this month's packing list. Notice that most of the products are cruelty-free, organic, vegan, or more than one!

BuddhiBox April 2018 Yoga Pose

BuddhiBox April 2018 Shoulder Stand

There's also usually a card featuring a yoga pose. For this month they featured a supported shoulder stand. I love this pose! Due to a head injury suffered years ago, I still struggle with inversions that involve using the top of my head for balance or support—I just always seem to get a splitting headache when I try them. So, I stick to lower impact inversions like supported shoulder stands and really enjoy the benefits of them.

BuddhiBox April 2018 Wrapped Dish

BuddhiBox April 2018 Moon Dish

BuddhiBox April 2018 Metal Dish

Metal Crescent Moon Dish — Listed Value $18.00

I don't know that I've ever received a true decor item in my BuddhiBox, but I love that I did this month! I can think of about a million uses for this little metal dish. It'd be such a lovely holder for jewelry, change, keys, snacks, crystals...you name it! I love its simplicity and gender neutrality. I haven't decided how I'm going to use mine yet because I want it to be good...somewhere out in the open for all to see.

BuddhiBox April 2018 Moon Bracelet

BuddhiBox April 2018 Silver Bracelet

Moon Phase Bracelet — Listed Value $25.00

Next, a simple silver bracelet. In case you can't tell from the photos, the engraved moon phases and accent dots are filled in with black paint. Even though it's adjustable, it was still a little too big for my wrist, so I'll probably pass this along as a gift. I like that it's packaged with a cute card displaying some positive sentiments—that makes it all the lovelier of a present to give.

BuddhiBox April 2018 Folded Tote

BuddhiBox April 2018 Small Tote

Moon Canvas Tote - Listed Value $16.00

I always welcome new tote bags into my life! I've finally gotten the hang of remembering to keep a bunch in my car for trips to the grocery store and other shopping endeavors, and not only is it much better for the environment, it's a better experience, too. For example, you don't have to worry about the handles breaking off! That said, I'm learning that reusable totes do wear thin after lots of use and some of mine have holes in them. It's not a problem for now, but I might have to retire them eventually. Anyway...this black canvas tote is a little smaller than the average. It would be good to pack with a few books and snacks and such on a road trip!

BuddhiBox April 2018 Wrapped Stone

BuddhiBox April 2018 White Selentie Pyramid

White Selenite Gemstone Pyramid — Listed Value $16.00

I received a selenite wand in last month's BuddhiBox Essential Oils box, and I have it displayed out in the open where it can catch the natural sunlight. It's so, so beautiful! It's interesting to see how its glow differs when cut in a different shape; this one doesn't have quite the same eye-catching sheen to it, but its pyramid shape is fascinating. For those interested in exploring crystal grids, pyramids are said to be a great centerpiece because they help collect and focus energy. If you're not into crystal gridding, it's also just cool to look at!

BuddhiBox April 2018 The Moon Incense

BuddhiBox April 2018 Incense Cones

The Moon Incense Cones — Listed Value $5.00

I also received these incense cones in this month's BuddhiBox Essential Oils box. I’m having trouble putting words to the scent, but I found it to be a rather light, versatile aroma that I have burned in my home every day since it arrived. At first, I thought it didn't come with a little incense holder like cones often do, but a couple of kind commenters pointed out that there's a small metal stand hidden in the packaging. It's nothing fancy, but it's better than nothing! I've also made one out of foil in the past or placed cones in the dirt of a flower pot. That works just fine!

BuddhiBox April 2018 Iced Tea Bag

BuddhiBox April 2018 Iced Tea

BuddhiBox April 2018 Tea Bag

Story of My Tea: Moon Blend, 1 packet – Listed Price $4.00

This tea is another item that was also included in this month's BuddhiBox Essential Oils box. I couldn't find these single-serve packets online and I wish I could because I'm curious about their flavoring. Both said "Moonlight Serenade" on the front. On the back, the one in my BBEO box said "Moonlight Serenade" again, so I figured that must be the flavor. This one says "I am a Gipsy" on the back, but it seems to have the same flavor! I'm not sure what the deal is, but both have been really amazingly delicious!

BuddhiBox April 2018 Brewed Iced Tea

The flavor is sort of a berry-peppermint combo and is really, really refreshing when enjoyed cold, as suggested!

The Verdict: There were some fun surprises in this month's BuddhiBox! I love how they changed it up with the metal dish and small tote; these gifts are a little different from what I'm used to receiving month after month, but will definitely go to use in my day-to-day. This box costs $34.95 plus $5 shipping (so $39.95 total). After some digging around the internet, I actually wasn't able to find any of these products online, but according to their list prices, they add up to a total of $84.00. If that's accurate, this box is an awesome deal! Indeed, I did feel like I got my money's worth with the awesome items that were included.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the May box. Order by the 8th of the month to receive that month's box.

Value Breakdown: This box cost me $34.95 + $5 shipping, which means that each of the 6 items in the box has an average cost of $6.66.

Hi there, I'm Christen. I am all sorts of things:

🌳 a writer who loves to convey feeling

🌲 a mother who wants to have just as much fun as my kids do

🌳 an outdoors-lover who's achieved #1000hoursoutside with my family

🌲 a low-maintenance self-carer

🌳 a general hungry person with an unstoppable sweet tooth

You'll find me collecting stationery and squirreling away stickers, riding bikes and swimming with my family, creating outfits in colors and silhouettes that make me feel amazing, wearing big earrings, drinking beer and asking my husband to feed me harmonies to sing, taking my vitamins, living for dancing to live music, roping everyone into a craft, being human and vulnerable, and celebrating the phenomenon of being alive.

...and doing it all with energy, delight, and jokes along the way.

Hi. I actually found the tea on the Story of My Tea website. Couldn’t find anything called Moonlight Serenade though.
