For the past few Black Friday's, Bespoke Post as offered a free Black Box with a $45 purchase - which is the cost of buying a normal box. This year, the also offered a Premium mystery box option when spending $90 - we opted for the premium box this month!

The Black Box deal is no longer available.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Box: Bespoke Post Premium Black Box

The Cost: Free with $90 Bespoke Post purchase on Black Friday

Check out my review of the 2016 Black Box to see what you can expect with this deal! And check out our Bespoke Post Reviews to find out what their boxes are all about.

The premium box contained 8 items - including a few bigger ticket items!

It comes with its own card that details the items in the box.

Gift Card - Value $10

One of the 8 items is a Bespoke Post store gift card. These are unique codes and are good for $10 off of a $75+ order.

Kiko Leather Passport Holder - Value $35

The biggest ticket item in this free box is a Kiko passport holder.

It consists of leather and wool - if you own other Kiko items, you'll know what to expect with the construction.

It sets you up to carry two cards in the front slots and your passport!

Craighill Stealth Money Clip - Value $44-48 based on their other money clips

You'll get this minimal stainless steel, matte black, money clip from Craighill.

It's a simple design - and keeps it less bulky for your pocket.

Ezra Arthur No. 18 Solid Brass Cufflinks - Value $20?

My value is really just a guess, taking into account the other items in their store.

These are super solid constructed cufflinks. I like the simple look of the brass cufflink - classy.

Fraustro & Co. Spy Deck - Redacted Edition - Value $15.95

You'll get a sleek deck of cards.

The cards have a solid black back, with some spy dictionary terms on each card.

Ulio & Jack Drifter Solid Cologne - Value $24

This is pretty pricey for a little bit of product - but it is cologne, so I'm not too surprised at the price tag.

This stuff smells incredible. And, while I tend to not love using cologne, I very much prefer solid cologne over a spray!

Etiquette Clothiers Rugby Stripe Socks - Value $18-20 based on similar socks in their store

You'll get a pair of rugby-style socks.

Etiquette makes a nice pair of socks - so I was happy to add more to my collection! They're on the thin side - but feel so nice on your foot - very comfortable!

Dove Deodorant - Value $2?

The odd item in the box was the Dove deodorant - I opened the box and was like, "huh"? It's just not something you'd think you'd find in a Bespoke Post box. But, as a bonus item, I'm fine with it, because I'll definitely use it.

Verdict: My values add up to around $171 in products for this bonus box - that's a good value for a free box with a $90 purchase. The box also feels like a nice little sampler of what Bespoke Post offers in their boxes, just on a smaller scale (except for the deodorant). The first item I saw was the Dove deodorant, so it started on a bad note, but it only got a lot better from there.

What did you think of their first-ever Premium Black Box?

You could make the case that this year’s premium black box is sort of “agent” themed, or things that a decidedly not undercover person might like when traveling, but who knows how they chose the items.

I received the regular black box and though I like the items aside from the solid cologne, I’m a little disappointed that there was nothing edible (bitters and hot sauce last year, and bitters in 2015).

Oh yeah, the deodorant is random, but I’ll use it.

It’s a free box, of course – and I am excited about the actual items I purchased from BeSpoke anyway – but to me, this is the least interesting and least aesthetically pleasing black box they’ve offered since they started offering these. In retrospect, I wish I had foregone the black box code and used the $10 off $75 code (from last year’s box) instead. Disappointed, to be honest.

So glad I skipped! Deodorant (and not exactly a premium one), socks, a really ugly money clip… spy deck? Who do you gift this stuff to, a geeky nephew? Men who wear cufflinks are usually a bit more discerning… and solid scent, for guys? Happy for those who bought it and loved it – I would have been so mad to spend $100 for this random collection.

sigh, for me this feels like a random collection of clutter. wish i’d opted for trying breo instead of bespoke, this black friday 🙁

Great mix of things. I am so happy I am receiving this box of terrific stocking stuffers! That for the review!

Neat stuff for free with purchase. However, I call shenanigans on the money clip. I got it as part of the Stealth box and it’s cool. However, would never value at that rate as is a piece of metal, nothing magical. No one ever would pay $44-48 for it.

An unusual mix but filled with useful items—they will be great for stocking stuffers!

Do you know if the regular black box will be a subset of these items? Or entirely different?

I asked their customer service about this on Facebook last week.

“The premium black box includes items from the normal one along with a few additional ones we’re pretty excited about.”

My regular black box arrived today. It was everything besides the passport holder and money clip.

I’m not sure, there weren’t any item details for either Black Box – we only purchased the premium option.
