This post may contain referral/affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

Every year, POPSUGAR releases a POPSUGAR Must Have Limited Edition Fall Box – full of items that would be perfect for the fall with a fashion focus!

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.

FYI – if you are interested in purchasing this box, it is still available!

The Box: POPSUGAR Must Have Limited Edition Fall 2017 Box

The Cost: $100

The Products: “Filled with over $450 worth of gorgeous Fall fashion, beauty, and home accessories, this box is full of items that will have you feeling stylish and cozy all Fall long.”

If you want an email alert when this box is available for sale (or when spoilers are released), make sure to sign up for News and Spoilers alerts at the end of this post!

Are you going to grab a Limited Edition Fall Box box? Check out my review of the 2016 POPSUGAR Fall Box, and my review of the 2015 POPSUGAR Fall Box to see what has been in past boxes!

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included:

Now, on to the items!

DANNIJO Dagny Necklace – Retail Value $195

This is a POPSUGAR-exclusive statement necklace!

The necklace is made of steel plated oxidized silver and the gems are made of glass. All DANNIJO Jewelry, including this glam necklace, is produced by responsible manufacturing facilities.
 Here it is on:

I decided to lean into the edgy vibe of this necklace and pair it with a moto hoodie jacket and a casual t-shirt dress.

I really like the mixed materials of this necklace. It’s both fancy and edgy, and I feel like it’s easy to dress up or down.

(Malin + Goetz) Recovery Treatment Oil – Value $82

Yes to full-size pricey skin care items! And I love this brand, too!

This oil is lightweight, absorbs quickly, and has a faint, natural scent. It’s pretty much exactly what I look for in a serum/facial oil, so I am very pleased with this inclusion. And Fall/Winter means dry skin season, so the timing is great, too.

Hat Attack Lightweight Layer Black Poncho – Retail Value $88

This is a soft, 100% acrylic knit, that you can wear as a boatneck style, or diagonal.

Here’s how I’m wearing it:

My fall/winter go-to look is: leggings, boots, long-sleeve mini dress, and a vest. But, I’m digging the poncho as an alternative to a vest! Plus it gives the outfit a whole different look.

(Check out our spoiler post of this box to see different ways we styled this poncho, too!)

Foreo Luna Play + Facial Cleansers – $39 Value

If you aren’t familiar with the Foreo Luna Play, it’s a pulsating device that allows you to get a much deeper clean when cleansing your face. (Similar to a Clarisonic.)

This device is 100 uses and not rechargeable, so a few MSA readers recommended using it as a tool to clean makeup brushes once the battery runs out. Foreo also gives tips for recycling your Play device. (This also came with a coupon code to save $39 off the full-size rechargeable Luna Foreo Device).

I’d been a Clarisonic user for years, but last year I switched to Foreo thanks to the first time I sampled this device!

Both Clarisonic and Foreo do a great job at cleaning my skin thoroughly. (While using the Foreo Play, I did wish that there were different intensity settings like there are on Clarisonic, but these options exist on the full-sized versions.)

The big difference for me is the silicone brush surface area. It’s nonporous and will resist any bacteria build up. With Clarisonic, you have to always buy replacement brush heads. (At $22 a new brush head, switched out every 2-3 months, the costs add up!)

Here is a closer look at the device:

It has one speed only, and an on/off button on the back:

And you get cleansers, too:

Good to know: you do NOT need to use FOREO cleansers with your FOREO device. They are a nice extra, but honestly, I prefer just using my favorite cleanser instead.

The day cleanser is pretty scented, and the night one is exfoliating. In general, both get the job done!

Smith & Cult Book of Eyes Ice Tears – Value $44

OMG! This is my first Smith & Cult palette and I love it!

Also, props to POPSUGAR for including a colorway we don’t typically see in subscription boxes: icy blues!

The pigment and shimmer on these shades are gorgeous!

The top three shades have a ton of shimmer, while the bottom grey has a more matte finish:

So pretty!

Sisters of Los Angeles Sweet & Sour Glasses – Value $28

I’m used to getting a food item in Limited Edition boxes, but I’ll gladly take this classy barware instead!

This set is a smokey glasses with metallic “Sour” and “Sweet” text.

These will look great on our bar, and I am digging the dark vibes of these glasses. (This whole box goes well with the September monthly box, too!)

Verdict: This box has a retail value of about $476! Um…amazing! I think this is the best Limited Edition box I’ve ever seen from POPSUGAR! I can’t believe that the two non-spoiled items were such hero items! An eye shadow palette from Smith & Cult and a home item? I am seriously so impressed!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, as of publication, this box was still available!

Coupon – No coupon available for limited edition boxes.

Value Breakdown: At $100 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item:

  • Poncho: $18.48
  • Necklace: $40.97
  • Face Oil: $17.23
  • Palette: $9.25
  • Glasses: $5.88
  • Foreo: $8.19

  1. So… still available, but no discount yet 🤔

    • Don’t hold your breath waiting for a discount on this box.

      • I just bought an extra one today from Gilt City for $60, no tax or shipping! The discounted price was $75 with an additional $15 off code for new members. And yes, it’s the exact same contents – Gilt just called it the Cozy box. AMAZING deal!

        • Has your cozy chic box shipped ? I received tracking info for mine on Wednesday but it hasn’t updated at all. Getting really annoyed because I purchased because it was stated they would arrive in time for the holidays.

  2. I bought two boxes for gifts and I can’t wait to hear how they like it.
I think everyone would love this…. I put battery type mini candles in my glasses. Cute for Halloween! I swapped the oil because I had one already.
I’m ready to wear my poncho. Having shoulder surgery soon and think this will be perfect slip on sweater.

    • Cute idea to use the glasses as candle holders! Good luck on your surgery!

    • Great ideas!!

I’m still waiting for my box to arrive 😡

Hope your surgery goes well, Kim!

  3. Hi ladies! I received my tracking number for this box on 9/22 but it hasn’t updated or shown any movement other than the label was created since then. Can anyone tell me if this is normal?
    Thanks!

    • Nothing like that has ever happened to me with PopSugar, in several years of subscribing and getting LE boxes. Usually there is movement within a few days of getting the shipment notification. I would contact them; their CS is usually pretty good in my experience.

  4. I didn’t see enough spoilers to warn me off the box, so I’v ended up with a bunch of things I am not crazy about. I would be happy to sell the necklace, glasses and eye shadow at the prices listed above if anyone is interested. Feel free to contact me smithk61 at yahoo dot com

  5. That face oil is everything

  6. That Dannijo necklace is everything, but the rest of the box is cute, but I have way too much of this kind of stuff from other boxes, so I looked on ebay, and found someone selling their necklace- I made an offer, and paid $30 for it, including shipping.
The price per item breakdown is very helpful, since it helped show how much was a fair price to pay for the necklace- I am also glad that i was able to help someone out by buying a piece off of them that they didn’t want.
I love the Dynalex Necklace from BOS last year, and this is very different that that one, so I am thrilled to add it to my collection. BTW- did anyone check out the prices on Dannijo website!? I really hope it lives up to the big price tag- they have some styles on there for $500, $600 and $700!!

  7. I really want this box but am hoping for a discount code. I did get an email saying they have a limited number left.

  8. This is a suggestion about your website. I love it and it is the only place I check but there is too many links and adds that my iPad constantly has to reload or crashes. Secondly I don’t like that I have to scroll past so many old comments to get to the comment link please add at the top it makes no sense to add a new comment you have to scroll past a hundred plus old comments. Also there should be a link to read all comments. It should be a choice.

  9. Anyone want to go half on the box I don’t want the necklace or eyeshadow. I will pay tax

  10. I would split the cost and buy the box. I do not want the necklace or the eyeshadow. Can do a $50 each

  11. My box just arrived and I LOVE it! The poncho is very long on me but will look good over so many dresses and jeans I have!

The Necklace is WAY better than junk jewelry. It is oxidized and the bling is subtle. It has a rocker edge to it. I tried pairing with Dylanlex necklace from the RZ LImited Edition from last winter and it works great when you want more bling! But is it worth $195? Definitely not! It is well mad and the stones are set well no glue but are prong set.

The Eyeshadow Palette is definitely not retro disco ball. It is a great palette and did not irritate my eyes! I was kind of thrown off by the way the palette sits but it is unique and works for the Rocker Chic vibe. Smokey eye lover this is a great palette!

The Foreo is awesome. I love that it is black to keep with the edgy vibe. I tried it out and will probably get the big one after I get through my supply of brush heads.

The glasses! I adore the smokey tones in the. Just make sure you hand wash them. I hand wash certain glasses all the time so this is no biggie for me!

I have not tried the face oil. I love face oils anyway!

This box was cohesive and that is what PS needs to do with all the LE boxes!

So this was a total score A+++++++ box for me! I am so happy I got it and can’t wait to see what the Winter PS Limited Edition

    • Congratulations!

I’m so excited. Can’t wait to get mine.

      • They did send me an email when they shipped.

The face oil is great too! I used it tonight!

        • Again, Mazel.

Finding the right face oil (or combo) the 2nd greatest quest in a woman’s life. The right job being #1.

          😉

Still waiting for any communication from PS in my 2 boxes.

  12. One of my favourite boxes, wish they would ship to Canada.

  13. For those who purchased one, did you get any email confirmation of purchase &/or shipping yet?

If I login to my account, the box shows up as being bought, but I never received any sort of communication from PS regarding this.

Really hoping this isn’t another BeautyCon situation….

    • You will receive an email when your box ships. Mine is on its way but I bought mine very early. I think it depends on the time you order your box.

      • Thanks for the FYI, amyr! Good to know.

        (Now I can stop sweating.)

@carey – Hooray! Our box is coming soon 😀

  14. Liz, you look great! Can’t wait now to get my box… Love the edgy vibe on you too .
Thank you for great review… It might not be my fave box… But, a few things will go into my daughters’ stocking.

  15. Oh man I love that necklace but being out of work meant this box was out of reach. Just maybe it will go on sale…..a girl can hope right!

  16. If anyone is interested in selling their face oil, I’m your girl! karenlhsu at gmail.com

  17. Personally I feel that the value of this box is more subjective. Sure, the retail price of that necklace is nearly $200, but I would never pay that much for it. I wouldn’t pay as much as they’re asking for any of these items. So sure, it’s a retail value of like $500 but would you have bought any of those items individually at full retail? I sure wouldn’t.

    • I agree. I don’t pay any attention to Retail Value. I pay attention to what is included in the box. For $100 this was a total win for me. Personally this is my favorite PS LE box ever! I am so glad I did not get the Resort one but I loved Summer and I love this one even more! Yeah for no snacks in LE boxes! This box rocks!

    • Agreed

  18. Now that I have the box, I’m even more impressed. Everything is so, so nice. High quality; I’d be thrilled to receive any of these items as gifts. Yes, the necklace is overvalued, but it’s definitely better quality than you’d pick up at Zara or Urban Outfitters. All the stones are carefully set and not loose like they often are in necklaces like this.

  19. I’m glad you liked the box! The thing that caught my eye was that foreo luna cleanser. One another note, what’s your favorite cleanser to use? You have such nice skin!

  20. I do like this box. Now…do I risk it and wait for a sale, or go ahead and order now?

    • I feel the same way. I like the box a lot. I’m a lady with a larger frame, and I love the inclusion of a good statement necklace instead of the delicate stuff that looks lost on me. I’m also intrigued by the poncho. The glasses are nice, the Foreo is something I’ve been wanting to try, and skin oil is always appreciated. The only thing I’m unsure of is the pallet. I don’t know how well I can pull off those colors.

    • Just wondering where you order these limited edition boxes on sale?? Thanks so much!!!

      • If there is still an inventory of them after a few weeks, Popsugar has been known to offer them half off on their website.

    • This one says last chance to buy. I don’t think this is going on sale.

  21. Hopefully this box will be half off and I’ll snag the necklace then.

    • Don’t count on it. PS is saying last chance to buy the box,

  22. Thank goodness I didn’t cave… ordered a PS limited a year ago that was a total dud and never again! Nothing in this box was worth the “retail value”.

    • I am kind of bummed I spent the money… I hate that they gave 3 spoilers which was basically the full worth of the box and then threw in some little junk items. :/ why do I do this to myself every time… I have gotten limited boxes for years and this one is a total bust for me .

      • Same. I’m hoping it will be better in person. I think this is truly the last time I buy beforenspoilers.

  23. I was not excited to see the Luna Play as I just got one in Beauty Fix and really didn’t care for it. It just dawned on me that mine might be defective! I have to hold the button down for it to work and for that reason alone it is difficult to use. Is it supposed to be an actual power button or do you have to hold it down the whole time?

    • I thought that too! I discovered by accident that if I push the button in further, it clicks and stays on!

    • I just click mine once and it stays on until I click it off again.

  24. I would split this box with someone. The only thing that I don’t need/want is the necklace. I would give up the poncho too. But if someone just wants the necklace and not the poncho LMK. Lbmtexas9 at gmail.com

    • I have the Rachel Zoe box and would be happy to trade the purse and gold rings for your necklace and poncho if you’re interested.

      • Brandi, I would do that just email me to confirm bc I have to purchase the box- It says it ships the 21st!! Which I will do ASAP.
my email is LBMTexas9 at gmail.com
        thanks
        Lauren

      • I would do that… I should get my box soon.. so if you want to trade just et me know.

  25. I want the necklace, poncho, glasses and shadow. I wonder if anyone would like to split this box with me

I know that only leaves the face oil and foreo but I’m just throwing it out there 😊

    • I’d split the box for the face oil and Foreo! 🙂 How should we do it?

      • Oooh email me at missyerable @ yahoo . com

        😊☺️😊☺️

      • Maybe we could see how much it is with tax. I’m not sure if there’s tax. And break the price down like Liz did. Oh and there’s shipping. Lol. I’m still interested. It would be ideal if this went on sale 🤞🏼

  26. I love every single thing in this box! I love the poncho and hope it will work on my petite body. I am 5’1′ and pretty small.

The necklace is gorgeous and not too over the top or dainty. I love bling! I am excited to try the foreo and it will be great for travel. The blue eyeshadow palette is stunning. I have blue gray eyes and I wear a wash of color!

The glasses are awesome. I do not drink alcohol for religious reasons but they will be cute to use for other drinks! I use face oil every night before my moisturizer since I am skewed way on the older side. This box is my style and PopSugar nailed it this box! My all time favorite PS LE box!

    • You can set these on your counter at a party with regular gummy bears for sweet and sour gummies for sour.

      • Cute idea

      • Love that idea Theresa!

      • That IS a cute idea, especially since gummy bears are kind of my staple. I hope this box goes on sale. I’d definitely get it then. I like the poncho.

  27. I love the necklace and am interested in the eye shadow quad, but the rest just isn’t for me. My favorite parts are often the home items and I’m just not a fan of things that have writing on them.

If this box does actually go on sale, I might consider it. But otherwise, I think I’ll just try to swap for those two items ” although I don’t relish swapping $200 worth of stuff for the necklace.

    • ………. I think $100ish trade would be quite fair for the necklace – I have both if you want – how do I find you on swap?? I’m on there but only have the necklace listed – I’m new to the swap world – but I will ship 3 day FedEx express saver – 🙂

      • Hi Judy! I just sent you a swap request for the Necklace. I’m also interested in the eyeshadow if you would like to swap. Kristin xo

        • Hi Kristin, I responded to you – hope I did it right … I’ve got both listed now… 🙂

        • Hey you stole potential swap! 😉

          • Contact me by email m6.socal.gmail.com and I’ll send you my necklace – a gift to you.

      • I’m interested in both the necklace and eyeshadow, have a lot listed and much from past LE PS boxes going back a couple years and other higher end Box items, if you have anything you’ve been looking for. Also have the usual mix of other boxes.

        • I would love to swap the eyeshadow…. I hate getting eye palettes because I don’t wear eyeshadow, except very very rarely. I have more palettes up for swap than I have to use in my makeup bag 😅 I haven’t received my box yet but I can let you know when I do if you’re still interested?

        • I would swap the necklace and eye shadow palette.. I am looking for the blanket from the 2016 christmas box.. and the wishbone bookends

  28. Super happy with this box. Nothing will be swapped or gifted. The poncho is the perfect light layer of warmth for where I live and it’s the kind of thing you can throw on over jeans and a T to easily make a ‘look’ when you’re short on time and effort. The necklace is gorgeous and right up my alley. Thrilled for high-end skincare. The smith and Cult Palette-gah! Beautiful packaging and contents. I’m planning on a smokey grey eye with the blue used with a wet brush as liner (I’m 49. Cool makeup is ageless). And I love the rocks glasses; it’s my preferred style of glass for drinking any beverage; Just like the weight and feel of them.

  29. When all you get is one nude palette after another, you see this smoky beauty!!

Love this box, except for the necklace.

If anyone wants to do a split. I’ll cover everything but the necklace & will include tracked shipping.

    • HI! I’d love to buy the necklace at the split value. I am careybishop123 at g mail .com

    • Wait for that deep discount that should come soon 😂

      • Yes, total 1st world problems! I feel like such a sh*t.

But I bit the bullet, ladies. I placed my order last nite…. 😌

  30. I actually love this box!! I can’t wait to get mine in a couple days. The only negative thing I have to say is, “why do they have to put silly sayings on everything?” I would love the glasses more if they didn’t say “Sweet” and “Sour”. Just my opinion.

    • I have to agree with that. I don’t hate the glasses with the sayings as they are, but I think they’d look really nice without them.

  31. I LOVE this box! And it pairs great with the September must have box. That said, I can totally see how some of the items are taste specific (poncho), skew younger (eyeshadow), or both (necklace). My guess is that we’ll see more universally appealing/giftable items for the holiday box.

  32. Oh no! I need everything. That necklace. The glasses. The shadow!!!!

  33. I really like the necklace but not a fan of the rest of the box. Hopefully I will be able to swap for one 🙂

    • Elise,

I really like the box, but hate the necklace. Would you be interested in doing a box split? (You pay for the necklace & I cover the rest?)

      vmarias at usc dot edu

  34. Has this already started shipping to regular customers?

    • Yes!

  35. This is my first Popsugar le box. Initially, I was pretty disappointed with this box. I love the necklace, it is so not me, but I think I will get some wear out of it this fall and winter! The poncho is actually really really nice! Much nicer than it looks in the photos! The only thing I don’t think I will use put of this box are the glasses – not my style at all – but can probably be regifted easily.

    • Where can you get a similar necklace for cheaper in your opinion? I only wanted the necklace.

      • You can buy mine for $25.00 shipped 🙂 – I find that reasonable? my box shipped yesterday….

      • I am swapping it if you are on the swap site. 🙂

      • Tina,

I really like the box, but hate the necklace. Would you be interested in doing a box split? (You pay for the necklace & I cover the rest?)

        vmarias at usc dot edu

      • Versona has a huge range of costume jewelry, but they change what they have frequently.

      • I would love to buy the necklace if anyone is selling! hilarys54 at aol

  36. The issue I have with this box is the absolutely ridiculously inflated values of the two most “expensive” items in this box: the necklace and the poncho. Let’s be real, that necklace can easily be gotten on sale for $20, and it would never be worth $198 at full price. The poncho is acrylic! For $88? Again, I can find this type of item all day long for $15-$20 just by walking through a mall. That’s the issue I see: getting people excited about a supposedly $450 value box, but putting in two items that are subjectively worth @$290. With the breakdown Liz provided, I would think most people wouldn’t spend $40 on that necklace if they saw it in-store, IMO. Easy pass.

    • Even considering the price of the box, you’re paying $40 for the necklace, which is more than I think it’s worth. But of course, that’s how these boxes are able to promise such a high value multiplier compared to the box price. We inevitably get items that haven’t sold well in regular stores or are inherently less popular (ponchos, loud statement necklaces).

    • Yes, oh my goodness yes. The listed retail values of jewelry pieces in sub boxes are ridiculously, horribly, and unjustifiably inflated.

I’m sorry but a steel and silver necklace with glass “crystals” is a step above costume jewelry at best. I make jewelry and I could make this necklace with better quality materials for less than the listed RV. If I’m paying nearly $200 for a necklace it better be at minimum gold fill materials.

So many of the pieces that end up in these boxes are gold or silver plated brass or steel. No matter how much the piece costs, those are not great materials and will eventually tarnish. Sterling silver and gold filled components are very reasonably priced when buying in bulk. *sigh*

With that said, the other items in boxes like these might very well make the total cost worth it. Plus, it’s great that people might get jewelry that they love. I just think these boxes need to be a bit more honest when listing retail prices.

      • But you’re not paying $200 for the necklace. You’re paying $40 for it.

        • True, but I understand what they’re saying. It’s not worth $40, much less the $200.

      • This necklace is oxidized. It is not bright silver.

    • I agree. I was sent a very similar statement necklace in a daily deal urban outfitters mystery grab bag(I think they’re 2 for 20 or $12 each). I think it’s super cute, but yet to even wear it…

      • It’s a jewelry grab bag with a few pieces… Some were not cute though. But that’s the risk with the mystery bags! 😛

  37. Sad that the only thing I plan to keep is the poncho. Everything else is up for swap.

    • Hi I just sent you a swap request I have some things on your followed list. Thanks for looking!

  38. Liz, Where did you find the coupon code for the Luna Play. I don’t see it. Thx

    • The info is on the little circle card included with the device. You’ll be instructed to go to https://www.foreo.com/play and enter the serial number to get your coupon. Hope that helps! 🙂

      • Thanks Liz! I am guessing that means the coupon must be used on the Foreo site and cannot be used on Sephora.com (?)

Thanks for a great review – I agree, one of the best PS LE boxes ever! Fall never lets me down! 🙂

        • Yes, that’s correct.

Glad you like the box! 🙂

  39. Love the glasses, don’t need them but I love them.

  40. Love it! Can’t wait to get mine.

  41. I’m loving this! I’ve never tried face oil but it looks cool. And I can’t wait to try the necklace! Everything in this box I can use!

  42. Decent box, but nothing in this box screams “Fall” and it’s no more fashion-focused than most other LE boxes. If this were someone’s first LE box, I imagine you’d be happy with it. I said this on one of the spoilers, but the fact they released so many spoilers actually made it easier to talk myself out of dropping $100 on this box. I already own the products or something so similar, it’s hard to justify spending the money. I am impressed with the two items which were not spoiled – of course Lisa Sugar’s signature blue!

  43. The Smith & Cult palette is so cute! If this goes on sale, I’ll buy it. Till then, my credit card is safe.

    • I’d love to swap the eyeshadow palette for the Turkish towel from the July or august box (I forgot!) if you have?

    • Do these LE boxes ever go on sale?

      • The summer limited edition box did.

        • Damn. To buy or not to buy…?

          • If you are on the fence and you like the majority then buy! Or if you feel there will be a deep discount in a few weeks wait! 😂🤣😂

          • I’m torn between buy now, cry later.

Buy now – guaranteed in hand

Cry later – goes on sale, sells out

            😔

          • Speaking just from myself because I have had serious FOMO before I would buy now. PS is really closed lipped when it comes on whether or not these will go on sale. I don’t think they will. But in 2 weeks who knows? First world problems LOL!

  44. Oooo I love this! Everything in this box is completely me! The only thing I’m worried about is the blue shadow since I have green eyes, but I’ve always wanted to try Smith and Cult eyeshadow. Can’t wait for my box to come in so I can play with everything!

  45. So much nope.

    • Ugh, sooooooo much nope. I don’t even know where to begin (maybe I’ll begin with the early 2000s sparkly blue eyeshadow). So disappointed.

      • Yeah, I like Smith & Cult usually but the disco blue and silver isn’t for me. Did you buy this box? I bought the Rachel Zoe instead of this, but I think I’ll hold off on boxes for a while.

        • Yes, I bought both. RZ is a great box. This PS box has cured me from ever buying without a spoiler again. I always say I’ll wait but then I get too much FOMO 🙁

          • The last Burt’s Bees mystery box cured me from buying boxes without spoilers lol. I was permanently cured since it was too bad.

          • I think the FOMO part usually gives way to regret for me. I end up spending my money on net-a-porter boxes (usually) instead. I’m pretty happy with the RZ box because of the oribe, but I was kind of excited for the purse, and it seems like the quality isn’t all there.

          • I agree about the bag in RZ- its a little disappointing but overall I like it. The rings & tray were sort of dinged up but for some reason it didn’t bother me because I like the items. I just think RZ did a better job of curating luxe-feeling items. And yes, Oribe is the BEST!

Oh well, I guess you can’t win em all. Maybe this box will grow on me or I can gift some of it.

      • Early 2000s sparkly blue eyeshadow was way brighter lol. I remember it fondly. I do realize, however, that these colors will not be good for everyone, but I bet they would look lovely with blue eyes.

    • Yep, don’t like this box at all, I learned my lesson after another PS LE box. I’m just not into them. I also had a horrible allergic reaction to Smith and Cult lipgloss, I’d be terrified to try the eye shadows.

  46. PopSugar got their cobalt blue in the box with those eyeshadows !!

  47. The value breakdown that you have created is so amazing to see exactly how much of a deal we are getting with boxes that we really like. Just got my Sept. box last night and I LOVED the black flower, socks, wallet, blush, absolutely everything. This is another box that I’m totally in love with, except for the poncho (just not my thing since I’m really petite and thin). If you had not put the blue swatches, I would have dreaded the palette, but those colors will be killer on a night out on the town.

PopSugar, I’m loving the younger, smokier, urban aesthetic. Please go deeper and darker and hipper. Loving it and I am entitled to MY OPINION just as much as anyone else.

  48. I hope my swap feature starts working! I would like to snag the Foreo, and Necklace from this box in a swap!

Is it just me, or does anyone else not understand what all the face oil rage is about? like what does it even do?

      • Nice article. Thanks for posting this, Amber!

    • I have the necklace up for grabs if you’re interested – quite flexible – I’m on swap but that is my only listing – still not that comfortable getting around in there – I usually gift but the necklace has to go to just the right person – 🙂 my box has shipped – email , ms2spyder @ Hotmail dot com – and I will consider giving up the Foreo 🙁

      • ….. can’t give up the Foreo after all…… it’s all I’m keeping besides the oil and the bar ware…. 🙁

        • Me too…wasn’t thrilled with this box and swapped most of it.

    • I am sold on face oils. Ever since I started using Jojoba oil (about 5 or 6 years ago) on my face before bed – I have had zero cystic acne.

      • Oils in their raw, unrefined, cold pressed state are the BEST thing you can do for your skin!!

  49. The only useful is probably the face oil. Everything else is dependent on personal taste, habits and suitability. I will not look good in blue eye shadow, the poncho will not go with a lot of what I wear, the glasses are fine but low value, the necklace looks cheap and not “classy”, and the foreo, while useful, is plain wasteful. I have a foreo and I use it twice a day. It’s not useful to have something that will last only 100 uses (which for me would be a month and a half). It’s a waste of materials.

    • what does face oil do? I don’t get face oil?

      • Lauren, face oils and serums can do lots of different things. Check out The Ordinary, which manufactures reasonably priced products that focus on active ingredients.

    • It’s useful for someone who cannot afford the full size, or who just wants to try it out before making the big purchase. It’s not wasteful, and it’s even stated that they give instructions on how to recycle.

      • Recycling is great and all, but it’s still wasteful. In some places, like my city, recycling plants are in danger of closing because they require so many resources to operate – particularly due to improper recycling habits – the environmental benefits are completely negated. The LEAST wasteful thing to do is to reduce our disposable consumerism lifestyles. It’s not just about where the used product ends up; it’s about the waste generated in the manufacturing process too. For example, recycling one disposable plastic water bottle every day is certainly better than throwing it in the trash, but a reusable glass or stainless steel bottle would be infinitely better.

        • I think worrying about the difference between recycling a plastic water bottle, and using reusable glass or ss bottles (even though plastic water bottles are also reusable) is a little silly compared to everything else that gets tossed into a landfill every day. Do you know how your electricity is generated? Unless you don’t watch television, or wear clothing, or sit on a sofa, or drive a vehicle, then complaining about the waste generated by a small face scrubber that is encouraged to be recycled is just finding something to complain about.

          • Amber, I was speaking in general about the common misconception that something isn’t wasteful so long as it can be recycled.
It’s just not true. Every change, even seemingly small things, like your facial cleanser, can make a big difference, especially in terms of building habits and attitudes that lend themselves to a minimal waste lifestyle. This isn’t a complaint. It’s a really simple fact. Disposable products are always more wasteful than reusable ones.

          • Yes, you are right. We are fortunate to live in this type of society where many things are convenient and enjoyable. But it is my choice to think of such a product as “wasteful” as it is yours to think otherwise. Ultimately all of what we own will end up in the landfill but I’d like for something to last longer than a month and a half. I can re-gift the other items to friends and family who will get genuine enjoyment out of using the items for longer than a month and a half and I don’t think it an unreasonable opinion.

As for your first comment, the size and power of this device will not compare with the larger, full size version so it may not be all that useful as a trial run.

  50. I know alot of people weren’t impressed with this box per the first spoilers but I’m really glad I purchased one. It’s much more “me” than typical Popsugar stuff…I guess I got the darker vibe going on too. LOL. I’m not a regular PSMH subscriber and this is the first LE box I’ve purchased prior to full reveal! I’m excited to get my hands on it Tuesday (per tracking)!!!

    • Yay! Glad to hear you like it and are digging the darker vibe 🙂
