I didn’t receive a note from my stylist this month, but if I had, it would be included here.
Here’s what my stylist picked for me this month:
Bella Blender, BellaPierre Cosmetics – Cost to keep: $4.12 (Retail Value $15)
This blender sponge is soft, squishy, and velvety feeling. It really expands when wet and blends liquid foundation into skin for a smooth, airbrushed finish. I think this sponge is a lot like the well-known Beauty Blender. The downside to any sponge is that they soak up some product and that they are kind of hard to clean, but they certainly help keep fingers clean while applying messy product. Oh, and it feels like an arm workout when you are bouncing this sponge all over your face.
Spellbound Nail Lacquer Jinx, Liberty Republic – Cost to keep: $3.85 (Retail Value $14)
Spellbound Nail Lacquers seem to only be available through the Wantable Makeup subscription at this point. The shade Jinx is a bright, pink-coral color that instantly makes me feel summery. Did it last 2 weeks? No. But hardly anything does. It goes on smoothly and I can get good coverage with two coats. With a top coat, it stayed fresh looking for about 5 days on my fingers. Plus, this nail lacquer is 5-free, vegan, and cruelty-free.
Hydra-surge Rich Body Butter, BellaPierre Cosmetics – Cost to keep: $21.98 (Retail Value $80)
This luxurious body butter is infused with diamond powder and botanical oils. I can’t tell if the diamonds do anything other than make me feel glamorous, but the oils definitely moisturize. The consistency is thick but not greasy and my skin is left feeling velvety. The scent is light and makes me think of powder and perfume. $80 is a steep price for body butter, so I’m really appreciating the deep discount.
Lash Mob Limitless Mascara Black, Sugar Cosmetics – Cost to keep: $6.05 (Retail Value $22, $14.99 online)
This mascara is great! I really like the box design and the tube is simple and clean. The bristles are densely packed and medium in length. I loved the way it lengthened and separated my lashes without applying too heavily. It stayed on through the day without flakes and smudges and removed easily with a swipe of an eye makeup remover pad.
A mid-move, no makeup before.
After applying Lash Mob. It instantly brightened my look without any other makeup.
Verdict: This month’s Wantable Makeup Collection was a win for me. I will be keeping all of my items (so I’ll receive the discount next month) and the mascara is my favorite find. The value of this collection is $131 with free shipping. I like the mix they included — a beauty tool, nail color, makeup item, and skincare item.
