Is there a coupon for this month?

I’m not too excited so far.

I really don’t get the love for setting powders. Want the first spoiler, don’t really like the second and this one is a loser for me. Guess I will wait for another spoiler before deciding.

This box still doesn’t show up in BF, now could I subscribe monthly to get this box and the unsubscribe. ?

Jennifer

August box is now up for purchase 😀

I have more setting powder than I can possibly use so I will give this to my nieces. I don’t like the cleanser either so I’ll pass that along too. Hopefully there are a couple items I want to try. It seems I’m less excited about box contents lately. Maybe because I’m drowning in products.

I got that powder from Sephora, because I use loose powder every day, to cover the shine from sunscreen. This powder is not very good, in my opinion. Not good coverage, and no silky finish. Even cheapo City Color Cosmetics and e.l.f. make a better-feeling setting powder. I expected more from the Dermablend brand.

I always loved the Physician’s Formula Mineral Loose Powder from the drugstore. I apply it last over my BB Cream or Tinted Moisturizer and blush and the finish is amazing. It looks airbrushy. It is also great for acne prone skin.

I can’t find where to subscribe. It says it’s sold out?

August Box is now up 🙂

I just chatted with Dermstore and Brandie J says, “The August box shall be ready for purchase by Friday”.

Thanks!

The July box is showing sold out. The August box isn’t up yet. I’ve been checking since last night. I need to re-subscribe!

I’m relatively new to BF, so this box is looking good to me.

My HG cleanser is Juice Beauty’s Green Apple Brightening Gel cleanser. Even with all the samples I get, I still buy this one at full price and use other cleansers as a follow up. It feels great, smells wonderful, and improves my skin with daily use.

I’ve been wanting to try this JB product, and, given the ingredients, it doesn’t surprise me that it smells like rotting fruit. I love the Acure peel and it also smells like rotting fruit to me, but I’m more relieved to know that these companies aren’t adding unnecessary perfumes to cover up the smell of the active ingredients. I just see it as medicine for the skin and sometimes medicine tastes (and smells) bad. Smell just isn’t usually a deal-breaker for me, though I understand it could nauseate some people.

I hope BF includes Juice Beauty’s new brightening essence at some point!

Totally agree, It smells like rotting fruit.

Still waiting, but not holding my breath at this point.

I tried to subscribe but it says Sold Out. I really want to try the Foreo and my daughter loves the Juice beauty. Hopefully it’s just an error.

Tara

I was hoping for a second full size but considering the value of the tool is so high I’m not surprised. These 3 products are half of the value that derm store said August box was worth so I’m curious to see the other half!!!

Why do I have such a hard time getting my comments to post? I tried several times and nothing.

Reply ButtonReply

MM

Yeah, Helen. It’s not something to be suspicious about. My comments always lag a bit and I don’t think it’s anything personal. This is normal at some websites.

Sometimes you have to be patient. Occasionally they may take a bit of time.

Where do my posts go? Let’s try this again…

They lost me at Juice Beauty. I hate the smell of that brand. For anyone interested the first two ingredients in the powder are Talc and Methylparaben.

Laurie

I’ve been wanting to try this powder, so I’m quite pleased. I think this is a great box with lots of brand name products to try. I have the Foreo already, but it will make a great stocking stuffer for someone else this Christmas.

These are all repeats so far. I like the Dermablend but I’ve never really been a fan of Juice Beauty and I have tons of foreo from other boxes and they’re just waiting to be gifted at Christmas. I hope something more exciting is in this box.

Yawn.

The powder is nice but it is such a tiny sample. Full size is 28g, and this sample is only 5g

Luna

I’ve used this sample size of this powder before, and it actually lasts quite a long time. It lasted me ~3 weeks, give or take a few days.

Thanks for the helpful reply! I

Me, too. It’s a nice travel size. Love that it’s included. I have the laura mercier powder which I like more, but this is a close second

Almost all setting powders have methylparaben. The Laura Mercier translucent setting powder also has talc and several paraben ingredients in it.

Julep’s invisible powder doesn’t! It’s actually my favorite powder I’ve tried. Love that it doesn’t add color as I just need something to set my foundation and take away some of the shine.

Based on the fact I just bought julep’s and the ingredients of this one. I’ll probably swap or give away.
