Walmart Beauty Box Review – Summer 2017 – Classic Box

My Summer Classic box was different (so was my Trendsetter box). I got mask remover sponges/Dove body wash/Pantene shampoo/conditioner/Dove deodorant (solid) and Tresemme Hairspray.

I was looking for spoilers or any word on the fall box. I don’t know how I didn’t realize this until now but I definately got the bottom of the barrel on the summer box. I got the shampoo,conditioner,dry shampoo,sunscreen and makeup remover wipes. I didn’t get the Roc or the 2 Palmers samples. Might seem a bit petty but the Palmers would have been nice to try or have in my travel bag. Kinda seems like the longer I’m subscribed, the more I get the bottom if the barrel boxes… Still, it’s $5.00 quarterly & everything I did get has been useful. Still looking forward to the Fall box.

I was receiving both boxes. I cancelled them. I was understanding when I didn’t receive the same items as others in the Spring box. I assumed it was because I ordered it late, but there is no reason why I should have been shorted with the summer boxes. It’s simply not worth it. We can all get the same lame samples by simply signing up for free samples on other sites. I’m currently waiting on my Fabfitfun box. Hopefully, I won’t be disappointed like I was with Walmart’s “beauty” boxes.

I just got mine today! I was charged weeks ago. I contacted customer service and they never replied. My box only had a Pantene shampoo and conditioner, a hairspray, a tiny deodorant, body wash, and the mask removal sponges. Much less than other people, it seems. Very disappointed. Nothing very unique or fun in here. Cancelling today.

So disappointed. I received my daughter’s trendsetter box today. We were looking forward the nails and the face cleansing wipes for her age (teenagers loves nails!!!). She received Pantene Shampoo and Conditioner 50ml, Got2B Ultra Glued Styling Gel, Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Gel ( we don’t have makeup brushes at all), Aveeno Lotion (good to have it in your purse),Banana Boat Dry sunscreen, Ecotools Mask Remover Sponges, another SOO AE vitamin mask ( the same I received in the Spring Box). No deodorant, no Gel Nails , no cleansing facial wipes. Oh well, I’m pretty sure she only will use the sunscreen and the Aveeno lotion. I do hope that my Classic Box will be better and useful.

I just got my Walmart box today (7/10) and I must have really been the last box filled. I received only 5 items, Pantene shampoo and conditioner, hairspray, and TWO dial deodorant samples (I guess they were trying to make up for a lack of other items?). I cancelled. I routinely buy better products than the samples they send.

I still haven’t received my Trendsetter box, not even a shipping confirmation, even though I was charged for it more than a week ago. So when I logged in to my account yesterday I noticed that Walmart revamped the beauty box page, and now you can fill out a beauty profile for a more “customized” experience.
Considering that in reality they obviously just throw some random samples together for everyone, seeing that made me laugh. 😀
After I finally receive the summer Trendsetter, I will unsubscribe and never look back. For $40 a year I can definitely do better with travel size samples.

Although my box was very heavy, it didn’t make up from the crappy spring box, where I felt mine may have been one of the last boxes packed and they were out of anything decent. This time I got Ban deodorant, Pantene shampoo and Conditioner, Burt’s Bees lotion, Soapbox body wash, travel Colgate, Dove Dry Shampoo, Got2b gel. So it was 7 samples and one full-size, but nothing I was excited about at all. I would have loved the oils, but honestly, I’d much prefer to cancel Wal-Mart and take the $5 and add another$5 and get one of the $10 boxes, where I can get quality samples and not junk I’ll never use.

This Summer 2017 box was the most disappointing one I’ve received. Mine (classic version) had the Dove dry shampoo, Pantene shampoo/ conditioner, sunscreen, and Soapbox body wash. No coupons. These items would not cost $5 to buy in store. Walmart needs some consistency. It seems employees just randomly toss items into our boxes, and we get what we get.

Banana Boat Sun Lotion
Dove Dry Shampoo
Soapbox Bodywash
and the ROC sample.
I don’t care for the dry shampoo but like everything else, just a little sad I got three items less, I would have liked the ponds, and the oils.

Summer was my least favorite box so far–generally, there are one or two things in each box that make me think Wow. Not this time. Roc (I started buying it once they send me a full sized product in one of these boxes) made a mistake–the sample size is fine–but they should have included a high-value coupon in the packet.

I didn’t get either of the coconut oils. I got another dove deodorant sample. Canceled! I have gotten the same items in every box for a year.

Got mine today, also did not get the oils, got a dove deodorant. That actually works for me, I like the travel deodorants better.

Considering the box is $5, seems great. But, when I spent $5 in spring and didn’t use the ban deodorant, Dove dry shampoo, toothpaste I am not thrilled to get exactly what I did not use before.
I would rather use the money to buy what I will use in the store.
I’m wondering how they decide to ship boxes…

I get both the classic and trendsetter boxes, and they arrived today. The contents in each were exactly the same! It’s like a hybrid between both boxes’ spoilers:

-Got2B Ultra Glued Invincible Styling Gel
-Pantene Pro-V Dream Carr shampoo and conditioner (one bottle of each)
-Burt’s Bees Naturally Nourishing Milk&Honey Body Lotion
-Ban Powder Fresh Roll-On
-Dove dry shampoo
-Soapbox sea minerals body wash
-Colgate Optic White

I’m not psyched about an exact double, but if I had to get doubles, at least it’s a box chock full of travel sizes and full size products (deodorant) with no foil packets! They were heavy!

I got a totally different box. I got the Pantene Shampoo and Conditioner, Dove dry shampoo, Burts Bees Lotion (YEAAAAAH), Colgate Optic White toothpaste, soapbox body was, Ban roll on. and got2be ultra glued. I LOVE Burts Bees so I’m happy with that, and I always keep a deodorant in my purse cuz I’m that girl so I’ll always take a travel size deodorant. Everything else though is going in my stocking stuffer box.

Looks pretty dull,way worse than the trendsetter which was alright.I liked that they put the nails in it. Makes me wonder how they make the decisions on what items go in each box.Im thinking they need to give the person who decided what went in the classic a vacation.Because clearly they need a rest.

I have a real hard time complaining about a box that costs $5 including shipping, when I know from selling on Ebay, that to send a similar sized box, it costs a little over $10. So they are spending money to just for postage on these boxes.

I sub to both the Classic and Trendsetter. I got super spoiled last month enjoying that special Canada Dry sponsored box, that was stuffed to the brim with really fun curated items! I so loved that box! This month seems a little ho-hum in comparison, but as I said, surprises in the mail for $5? Are you kidding me? No complaints here.

The Classic was less enjoyable this month than the Trendsetter, in contrast to previous months where the Classic was better. So this fluctuates from month to month. This month in the Trendsetter box, I really enjoyed the cute nails, and the mask removing sponges. I also enjoyed having different face wipes in each box.

I got the same box as Liz except I got a Dove deodorant instead of the coconut oil.

I received my box today, and it’s pretty much completely different. For one thing I got two Pantene shampoos, no conditioner. So I have three bottles of shampoo in one box – two Pantene and the dry Dove one. 🙄
No Roc, no Pond’s wipes, no coconut oil (this one I am okay with though, since I got it before) and no sunscreen for me.
Instead I got:
Colgate Optic White toothpaste
Soapbox body wash
Ban roll-on deodorant
and the Got2b hair gel which I thought was supposed to be in the Trendsetter box.
How lucky for me. 😐
I think I’ll cancel both boxes and just use the $10 to buy what I need, since I am not sure that my personal value with the Walmart beauty boxes even adds up to that. 😒

This was my first time receiving a Walmart Beauty Box. I was rather pleased with what was in mine.

In my box there was the Styling Gel from Schwarzkopf, Burt’s Bees Nourishing Body Lotion, Body Wash from Soapbox, Colgate Optic White, Ban Roll-On, Dove Dry Shampoo, Pantene Dreamcare Shampoo and Conditioner.

I use all the items in the walmart box to restock my travel bags so I am okay with the repeats from the spring like the sunscreen and I use the dry shampoo to freshen up my wigs (whenever I wear them) so for 5 dollars, it is another win win.

I already got those items in the spring box. They have gone down hill. I will be unsubscribing now. It is not worth $40 dollars a year at all!

I loved the last box, and this one is so-so for me. I won’t use the shampoo/conditioner or the dry shampoo, but I’m sure I’ll find someone that will. You can’t win them all, and the $5 price tag keeps me from cancelling. Fingers crossed for a good Target box next week!
