This box comes with an encouraging info card directing to Love with Food's shop and social media channels. The card speaks to June being a month full of transition, and the 'You Got This' statement displayed in its design sends a positive message to encourage healthy and delicious snacking. There are also tons of coupons in this box.
Beanitos White Bean Crunch Mac n’ Cheese, 1.2 oz. - Value $0.91 (buy a 6 count for $5.49)
Like those classic cheese curls you know and love without all the bad stuff. These had a satisfying crunch, and I love that they're main ingredients are white beans and rice making them a great source of fiber and protein. Love With Food also included a coupon for a FREE bag of Beanitos if you end up loving them as much as I did.
RW Garcia MixtBag Tortilla Chips, 1.5 oz. - Value $0.60 (buy a pack of 12, 14 oz. bags for $66.40)
Just a really well-done tortilla chip. I like they these have a little bit of weight to them too -- perfect for everyone's favorite chip accompaniment... DIP! Don't you just hate when your tortilla chip can't handle the guac you so carefully scooped onto it? With these, no issue. Along with the Beanitos, this snack was also sent in this month's Tasting Box.
Sipp Sparkling Organics Soda, Ginger Blossom, 10.5 oz. - Value $2.06 (buy a pack of 12 for $24.70)
This soda was really interesting! Honestly, my first reaction was, "this would be great with some rum or vodka in it." So, maybe try that for me? If I wasn't pregnant, I'd be all over it. The vanilla flavor is pretty prominent, but the ginger and lime make each sip pretty refreshing overall.
Peanut Butter & Co. Mighty Nut Powdered Peanut Butter, Vanilla, 0.85 oz. - Value $0.75 (buy a 6.5 oz. jar for $5.73)
I had never tried powdered peanut butter before receiving this box! And - you know what? - I was pleasantly surprised. Stir it up with some water for a creamy consistency. I ate it with apple slices and couldn't tell that it was much different from peanut butter varieties I've tried in the past. By itself, it's a bit more artificial in flavor. Like, it sort of reminds me of the 'peanut butter' in Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. With 5g of protein, this would be an awesome addition to your morning smoothie.
Mediterra Savory Bar, Bell Peppers & Green Olives, 1.23 oz. - Value $2.29
Well, I had never had a savory snack bar before today, and I can't say that I wish to have one ever again. It's not that the flavors were bad -- I LOVE olives! It just weirded me out to eat a granola-like bar that tasted like hummus. Love With Food includes a coupon for $1 off any three Mediterra bars if you ARE a fan!
Minute Ready to Serve Brown Rice & Quinoa, 8.8 oz. - Value $1.84
Easy and hearty! Two containers come in this pack, and each one is enough for a solid lunch portion if you add some pizzazz with your toppings. I'd throw in some steamed veggies and tofu or let it cool off a touch before adding to a salad.
Awake Energy Granola Bar, Dark Chocolate Caramel, 1.20 oz. - Value $2.08 (buy a pack of 5 bars for $10.38)
Love this concept for busy mornings or a midday pick-me-up! The dark chocolate coating makes it a bit decadent, but this granola bar tastes pretty standard all things considered.
Nutiva Organic Hazelnut Spread -- 2 Packets: Dark and Classic, 0.78 oz. each - Total Value $0.69 (buy a 13 oz. jar for $5.75)
Each sample of this hazelnut spread is enough for a couple slices of toast, I'd say. Scrumptious!
Quinoa Queen Cereal, Citrus Bliss, 1.05 oz. - Value $0.87 (buy a pack of 4, 9 oz. boxes for $29.99)
This cereal wasn't what I was expecting in a really wonderful way! The citrus flavor is really unique and almost creates a Fruity Pebble-esque experience. I ate it dry as a crunchy snack, but it would be awesome with milk as well.
Slice of Life Organics Energy + B12 Adult Gummy Vitamins, Natural Berry Flavors, 2 gummies - Value $0.63 (buy 60 gummies for $18.99)
These gummies are said to promote healthy energy production. Though I didn't notice any sort of dramatic change upon ingesting both, they were pretty good!
Verdict: This box has a really healthy assortment of snacks to try out if you're gluten free or interested in a GF diet. I calculated the value to be right around $13. While that doesn't compare to the $24.99 cost, I'd say this Love with Food box is worth a try to avoid scouring your local grocery for all the GF snacks possible.
