Also enclosed is a coupon for 50% at Inspire Psyche Terry.

Verdict: This Cocotique box has a value of $34.53 and that’s well over the cost of the box (which includes free shipping). A good mix of beauty products for your hair and body. It was nice to see some familiar drugstore brands. I know some beauty box junkies prefer not to see those in a subscription box but I felt like it was appropriate for this box. Check out their blog for product info, discounts, their spotlight COCOBelle and COCOBlogger of the month and much more.

I signed up for this subscription and I must say, I was not pleased. I paid for a box on February 8, 2018. As if today, March 24, 2018, I have not received my box. If that was not enough, i have usps informed delivery, and usps says while the label has been printed they havent even shipped the package out yet! It has been over a month and a half. I understand processing may take time but this is ridiculous. Why call it a March box if I pay in February and get it in April? They have however already billed me for Aprils box (on March 8, 2018). I asked for a refund of my April box. I am not interested in paying someone a month in advance and not getting it in a timely manner. They canceled my subscription easily but told me they could not refund my April box! If I was to make the excuse that this is just a processing error. They just work very slow. Then they should be just as slow in processing my payments. Or in the very least, be as quick to refund my money as you are to take it.

I don’t see much of a difference from what I see here and what I would see in maybe a Walmart beauty box except for some of the full-sized products. I would be very disappointed in receiving this, and I’m not really impressed. If I can get these all on sale at Walmart or at a local beauty store for a free sample, why would I get this box? I don’t see anything exclusive for women of color, either.

Until I see some impressive samples, I’ll pass.

I’m on the fence about this one…I really hate when subs send you packets and call that your sample. I generally cancel the first time this happens rather than give the usual 3 months to see if things get better. I will say this – the values you (they?) give are low compared to what some of those items go for in my expensive state. Here, that Dove spray is $6.99, and the Vaseline lotion would be about $4.59 at my Walgreens, assuming they’re not on sale.

That shower gel sample is a repeat product. In my year of being subbed to them (cancelled in February 2017), I accumulated four of those shower gel samples, and one body scrub sample all from the same brand. I also received a deluxe sample of that same Vaseline lotion too, so that full-sized bottle is a repeat (in a way). I personally, don’t mind getting sample packets & repeats here & there, but I just thought I’d mention it since you were on the fence. 🙂

Coincidentally, I’m actually working my way through those shower gels & lotion right now! The shower gel is nice, but the scent is so subtle I can’t smell anything, which is a bit of bummer since I like the aromatherapy aspects of taking a shower. I’m not really a fan of the lotion because my skin feels like I didn’t put anything on shortly after I rub it in. I’m sure some would find that to be a good thing, but I personally like my arms to feel freshly moisturized after using lotions or oils after a shower.
