JustFab has had a monthly VIP club for years now, and I love their styles. So I was thrilled to have the opportunity to try out their brand new styling service, PS by JustFab (PS stands for Personal Stylist)!

It works like many other styling services, such as Stitch Fix, Trunk Club, and Dia & Co. You pay a styling fee and receive five pieces selected for you by your stylist. You only keep what you like and return the rest with free shipping both ways. The styling fee is deducted from any purchases you make, and if you keep everything you get 20% off the total!

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out our review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

When I signed up, I took a lengthy quiz to let my stylist know my size and style preferences. A few days later, I received this email alerting me that my stylist had chosen some items for me. I could just click the link and preview my package.

There are some styling services that allow you to preview your package and reject items you don't like before they are sent to you, but this was a first. With PS by JustFab, I could keep the choices my stylist made for me, or if I didn't like something, I could swap it with an item on my JustFab wishlist! And of course, since I am a JustFab VIP, I had tons of items on my wishlist!

This invoice was included in my package, and the cost to keep each item is listed on the upper right of the page. On the upper left is a note from my stylist, and at the bottom is an adhesive return label.

The reverse side of the invoice has instructions for purchasing and/or returning the items in the package. The main thing I want to draw your attention to is that you have a generous eight days to try everything on. Nice!

Embroidered Dolman Top - Cost to Keep $24.95

I am completely digging the new embroidered details trend! This top is just a little too much fabric for me (although I like the nice, crisp cotton). I like flowy, but I don't like feeling totally lost in a garment.

Textured Knit Pullover - Cost to Keep $24.95

This is the perfect spring sweater! It's a very lightweight, loose-knit, acrylic blend, and it's slightly sheer. I think the cut and neckline are fairly flattering, too. I kind of just threw this look together, but I actually like the way it looks with my new leggings from Enjoy Leggings (review coming soon)!

Boho Swing Dress - Cost to Keep $32.95

Wow, I can't remember the last time I had an all-white dress! This is a nice, crisp cotton, but still somewhat soft. I think it's a little big on me, but I like the subtle details like the neckline and trim. Very pretty!

X-Front Tee - Cost to Keep $16.95

This tee is basically perfect. It's a soft cotton knit, and I love the cut. It's even a little slimming! Plus the price is right.

Flirty Open Shoulder Top - Cost to Keep $24.95

I like the print on this cotton top, but the cut is just a little too messy for my tastes. I an on board with the open shoulder trend, but it has to be well executed. I just want my shoulders exposed, not my armpits, not the top of my bra, etc. With this top, I'm not sure I would have much control over that!

Verdict: I am really enjoying my subscription to PS by JustFab! Last month, several readers commented that sales and discounts from JustFab do not apply to items in this service. That is true and could be a very valid reason to not try this service if that is a motivating factor for shopping at JustFab. They have great sales! Frequently! For me, personally, I like the fact that I can try a variety of styles I have been eyeing lately. If I keep everything, the 20% off is generous. But if not, I can always earmark an item I might like to purchase later when it's on sale. Everyone has their own shopping strategies, and this one totally works for me!

I just ordered my first box. I’ve had a bunch of things on my wishlist for a while and waiting for a sale. So this is basically just a way around waiting for a sale lol. In the past I’ve had the styles I wanted sell out while waiting for a sale anyway so I’m happy to do it this way. I’m already planning on keeping everything. Hopefully it all fits right 🙂 The only thing I wish is that they let you include shoes in the box. Not sure why they don’t.

Updating this comment because I received my first box and changed my mind…I’m not keeping everything because the two tops dont look great on me. And Justfab is currently having a sitewide 30% off sale that ps refuses to honor. It makes no sense. I would keep 3 things if they would honor the 30% off sale price – but instead I am keeping one thing to cover the styling fee, and returning 2 things to reorder with a 30% discount from justfab. *insert eyeroll emoji*

Agree that fit is everything on the open shoulder tops. I wore one I thought I liked, then I saw a photo of me in and it was like, UGH. nope. lol The criss-cross black tee IS perfect! It reminds me of the one Haley loved from her Golden Tote this month. That style looks so good on both of you!

I just received my second box. While it is fun, I’m a little torn on my feelings about this box. All the stylist does is pick items off of my wishlist. I feel the only real benefit is the 20% off to keep all, but if I wait for a sale I could get the same stuff just a cheap if not cheaper. This does make returns easier though if you are like me and tend to have a lot of fit issues.

My favorite item on you was that black top.

I feel you on that open shoulder top. I have never found one that lays on my shoulders in the correct spot (I’m super short so that may be the problem).

I just got my first box from PS and all the colors were great and it all fit perfectly. It cost less than Golden Tote, and I had a day in everything they sent. Clothing quality is the , IMHO.

Dang, I tried to sign up this morning and It’s still making me wait on a waitlist. Maybe it’s sized based or something? Could also just be that I hit a glitch, might try it again. Thanks for the info!
