Now, onto the items!

Mellow Cosmetics Baked Eyeshadow in Peach - FULL SIZE! Value $8

This eye shadow has excellent pigment and a subtle shimmer.

It would work well in the corners of your eye to brighten eyes, and on your brow bone, too. Here it is swatched:

Next up, an item to help you remove your eyeshadow!

Glov Quick Treat - Value $5

This glov is like a finger puppet sized version of Makeup Eraser. You just add water and it removes makeup - no makeup remover needed! Here it is on to give you a much better idea of what it is:

The precise finger application is great for removing eye makeup, but this little glov is handwash only - so I'm sticking with my machine washable Makeup Eraser!

NuFace Prep Cloth (1 cloth) – Value $1

This is not a typical makeup remover cloth! One side is for cleansing and the other side has micro-dots for exfoliating. It did an excellent job of removing my makeup, and it left my skin hydrated, too.

Real Chemistry 3 Minute Peel - .25 oz Value $7

I love any beauty product that promises quick results. 3 Minute peel? I'm in! This product goes on wet skin, then you massage it into your face with wet hands for about 2-3 minutes. (I recommend using it in the shower.) The gel is designed to bond with dead skin and form solids while you are rubbing it in. This happened to me, but to be honest, I couldn't tell a difference between the results from this peel and any other face scrub.

Still a good product, but not a life-changing, let-me-spend-$48-on-the-full-size-version item.

System Professional Luxe Oil Reconstructive Elixir - 1 oz Value $24

This hair oil has a sweet, sugar scent - I love it! The actual formula is designed to help strengthen and repair your hair. A little goes a long way with this oil - 1 pump was perfect for my hair. 2 pumps made it look a little greasy.

James Read Gradual Tan H20 Tan Mist - 1 oz Value $9.40

I didn't have the best results with the James Read Overnight Tan Sleep Mask, so I was a little hesitant with this spray, but I gave it a try!

The application is easy (just close your eyes and spray a fine mist on your face), and the self-tanner smell is pretty subtle. It takes a few minutes to dry, and then results will show over time. I might have gone too cautious with my first attempt because I can't see any difference a day later! But, if you're hesitant with face self-tanners like I am, this gradual one seems to be pretty goof-proof. You just might not get a tan at all!

Scrub Love Hydrating Coconut Oil Body Scrub in Coconut Cranberry - 100 g Value $9

This scrub is made with all natural ingredients, and it smells SO good! I need more cranberry-scented beauty products in my life! The formula felt pretty dry out of the package, so I wasn't expecting this to be a very moisturizing scrub, but when I rinsed it away I was pleasantly surprised! It left a subtle oily sheen on my skin.

And this box includes the latest issue of  Elle UK Magazine:

Value $5

I love getting this mini mag with the box - it's a fun extra, and the size is great for throwing in your purse, too.

The Verdict: This month's box has a value of about $68 - I think that's great for a $22 beauty box shipped from overseas! (And you can get the $16 a box annual price without having to pay the full amount up front, too.)

I really liked the curation this month, too. I think they did a good job of including a little of everything, and the sample sizes are great, too.

I had issues for about three weeks with payment. My bank was denying the payment since they’re a U.K. Company. After getting it settled I got my box FAST. No broken items. I love it and will use everything. I also like that there’s more skin care than makeup. Since this is already June I hope I get June’s box.

My box arrived with a product damaged and customer service is being ridiculous. First and last box!

Try contacting their customer service at feedback at thehutgroup dot com which a parent company of look fantastic. Between LF customer service, the Hut Group and a strongly written letter I finally got my Laura Gellar powder replaced. The original one arrived totally shattered, my replacement came in a well packed box and is perfect. It was not a fun process but when they finally corrected the problem they shipped my replacement within two days and here it is seven days later and I have the replacement in hand.

One thing I noticed on the shipping label is that it appears that the parent company, the Hut Group, has an Illinois address. They are the parent company to the following : Lookfantastic dot com, allsole dot com, beautyexpert dot co dot uk, mankind dot co dot uk, HQhair dot com, thehut dot com, mio and mama mio, skinstore dot com, grow gorgeous, coggles, mybag dot com.

I hope it works out for you.

Send photos, keep a record of your emails and keep on the pressure. While I really like the products in this box I also had a hard time getting a broken product replaced. I have had to deal with them twice. The first was an eye cream that was squished and open in my box. It took two months of contact to get a £5 credit. The second time was a the Laura Gellar powder that was shattered. However they are sending me a full size replacement but it only took about 10 emails and the last email I sent was a very angry note. I don’t know why they have such a problem with replacing items but I hope no one else has to do so. If it happens again I may go straight through facebook to get results. Now all that being said, they are quick to answer emails. Usually within two days.

Just got my box. I ordered it for the dry coconut cranberry scrub! In love with dry scrubs! I can’t wait to try everything. I have been wanting this box for awhile. Seems like a great buy.

This is my favorite box. I love that it’s mostly not makeup. I get boxycharm for makeup and ipsy. I find having all 3 subs I get a round mix of everything for about 50 dollars( I just subbed to beautyfix but I’m not sure if I’m going to keep it) I love getting the magazine every month too. I’d buy from their store but I have everything I need and more every month lol.

I have ordered items from the store and have found on the items that I purchased that they are actually cheaper than Sephora. And shipping is free unless you want tracking.

Thanks for sharing that Lola. I order a lot from Sephora. Can’t beat the free samples and awesome offers though. And the points you accumulate are great too.

This is my favorite beauty box.. I wish they would add just one more makeup item sometimes but either way I’m in love. It’s so luxe and the price is amazing for what you recieve. Even the monthly LF info/mag is gorgeous. Every month they blow my mind with all the new up and coming products. And a cute size ElleUK magazine on top of everything. Can you tell I love this subscription???
For those of you who are on the fence because you have to many other beauty boxes or samples from beauty boxes, you have to try this box. Its the only besuty box I will always keep.

And the actual box is a great storage box on par with those of you who like the actual box from glossybox, which is, imo, the only good thing about gb.

I really like the looks of this box so I’m excited to receive my first one. I am interested to see how the makeup remover thingy does if the May box is the first one I get. I also like the tanning mist.

So, i can get it for 16.00 a month by signing up for an annual commitment…but stiil only pay 16.00 every month?

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

That’s right! I signed up for a 3-month sub at $18/box, and I was charged $18 in each month I was subbed. 🙂

HVanity

Do you know if they allow 3 month or annual subscriptions to unsub early without paying a penalty?

Amber

I think my favorite item is the self tanning mist. I actually got great results with it, and not orangey!

Nice! I think I’m going to try this! Of course I’ve got enough cosmetics for 3 women for like 5 years! Lolo

I really liked the glov quick treat! I used it and then rinsed it off with soap and let it hang dry. I didn’t know such a product existed or that I would use it, yet here I am loving it!
