GlobeIn now offers two Artisan Box themes you can pick from! The theme for the second GlobeIn May 2017 Box is… Epicure!

Fellow connoisseurs of the good life,

Writer Virginia Woolf once proclaimed, “One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.” To which this box proclaims, here, here!

Indeed, what if the path to our highest good really were through following our pleasure? Well, that would make wine and cheese very, very important—and this kit a pretty sacred set of tools.

Salud!

I just got the box and there was a third glass instead of the board… I wrote and they claim to have sent an email but I couldn’t find any indication that one was sent! What’s frustrating is that I totally wouldn’t have gotten this box without the board because I really don’t like those glasses–yet now I have extra! I wish they’d communicated better so I could have opted to skip the month.

I have to say, too, that I cancelled my subscription because Globein is obscene with packaging–they use way more plastic and paper than any other company, and it definitely is not justifiable as a way to protect the products–so many other company does a better job. I’m so disgusted with this last shipment from them.

I also didn’t get the email that they claim they sent! I hate the wine glasses too and was planning on giving them away.

They substituted a single wine glass for the cheese board in my box and it’s the same as the wine glasses we already received in another box.

What am I going to do with a single glass? Well, I guess now I have three so it just looks like a broke one. Disappointing.

I got an email from them regarding a possible change in items due to inventory issues.

“Due to an unexpected inventory problem at our packing facility, this month we will be replacing a portion of the Neem Wood Cutting Boards, included in the Epicure Box, with a different artisan product of equal or greater value.

Some customers will receive the cutting board and some a replacement item, but everyone will be able to wine and dine!

Lunch and other themes were not affected. Most May Artisan Boxes shipped this week and should be arriving soon.

Please reach out to [email protected] with any questions, and thanks for your understanding!
Sincerely,

I liked the glasses, but decided to skip the month because I don’t think I’ve ever used the first cheese board I got and while the knife is cute it isn’t necessary. The lunch box just wouldn’t be practical for me. Nice boxes in general, but not for me this month.

The cheese knife is available on tenthousandvillages.com!

Getting epicure and I’m looking forward to the mouse knife/spreader and the glasses, but wish I wasn’t receiving another cheese board identical to one they sent me in a previous box. And it irks me that they include other GlobeIn products in their spoiler photos (like the napkin in the epicure photo–if I hadn’t read closely, I would be expecting a napkin in this box.)

I’d be interested to read the pamphlet for the “Lunch” box to see how the Swedish spork and Indian tiffin “empower remarkable artisans in remote areas with the tools to build sustainable businesses” and how they were made “by artists in small collectives where their techniques are rapidly vanishing.” (Quotes from GlobeIn’s description/mission.)

Thank you! It drives me bonkers that they always have extraneous stuff in their full spoiler photos. The lunch box has a pair of sunglasses that threw me off, too.

May be there are very crafty artisan who knows how to melt the plastic and mold the sporks. You never know 🙂

Didn’t care for the other box and already have the cheeseboard and that exact basket. The glasses are pretty and the knife is cool, but I didn’t renew and I am kinda glad. Enjoy!

I love the epicure box, but if you sign up now you won’t get that box right?

Stacey

I think you will… Maybe email them quick to ask?

It doesn’t let you choose the first box in your subscription in my experience. but f you email them, they will set it up for you. They’re really fast about responding too.

Jenny

Wish I could have a box made up of items from both – like the cloth napkin and the wine glasses but could do without the rest. A little too heavy on items (think food storage containers, bags) that I’m in overload from other subs. Easy skip for me this month. Looking forward to next month!
