Ruffle Tier Top in Danger Red - retail $42.95 (VIP price: $29.95)

Spring has arrived on JustFab's website! My Boutique was filled with a lot of great transitional clothes and springy colors and patterns. As soon as I saw this top, I knew it would be this month's pick. I am a huge fan of peplum waists, but this tiered ruffle waist is something I've never tried before.

In past months, I have ordered my normal size, so I didn't think twice when ordering this top in a size small. Unfortunately, it is too big. The top looks so nicely fitted on the JustFab model, but the reality is that this top runs large, so I would recommend sizing down (this style is available in sizes XS-3X). I'm also weary of the construction quality; the fabric is 100% Vicose, flowy and soft, but the stitching at the waist is crooked and makes the ruffle look uneven and messy.

JustFab-February-2017-Sleeve

The sleeves are billowed with an elastic hem. Normally I am a big fan of this type of sleeve, but because the overall top runs big, I feel like my arms are swimming in fabric.

One other thing to mention is that this top wrinkles very easily. It arrived extremely wrinkled, but they ironed out totally fine. However, I noticed wrinkles and creases form shortly after wearing this top for the first time.

JustFab-February-2017-Back

The back has a simple keyhole, with a button and elastic closure. The neck is wide enough that I was able to pull the top on without having to unbutton the keyhole, but it's a nice touch.

JustFab-February-2017-Outfit-Night

For a nighttime look, I decided to tuck the longer layer into skinny denim to create a cropped top look. I'm already liking this top more like this! If I don't exchange this top for a smaller size, I may tailor the top to officially make it a crop top. I don't normally wear a lot of red but tailoring this would not only make the top more flattering on but also provide the right amount of color (and sass!). To finish this look, I wore the peep-toe booties I chose for this month’s ShoeDazzle and statement accessories with a similar neutral tone. So fun!

I also received a free box coupon for GrazeYou can find the same deal here!

Verdict: I have mixed feelings about this month's JustFab pick. If the construction of this top was better, I'd 100% feel that the $29.95 price tag is a great value. I don't mind exchanging for a smaller size, but I would anticipate an equally poor construction quality, even if it fits better. Overall, I'd say this subscription is worth it, as I've found some unique and fun clothes so far and I'm really excited to see more seasonal pieces get added to My Boutique!

I decided to go for it and I signed up. I got a dress for under $10 (before shipping) and am pretty excited for it to come in! Not sure if I plan to keep the sub, but that dress was worth the time to sign up!

If they will consistently have size XS, I may purchase more items. Their sizing is way off! I wear a small, sometimes even medium and JustFab’s small is like a large on me. I haven’t been pleased with anything I’ve purchased, except shoes. For the cost, they’re great. Clothes….meh. They never look anything like what the model is wearing

That’s interesting, and a bit worrisome. I hope the dress I just bought isn’t too big :/

I always skip every month and buy items when they have their blowout sales. Much better value that way IMO.

Oooh, that’s a much better plan than to cancel entirely lol

Your jewellery pieces are beautiful! Maybe YOU should offer a sub box!! Seriously, think about it — you could start with a quarterly, handmade, limited edition offering, and grow from there.

Amanda

Just checked out your shop and your pieces are amazing! I want them all!!
