Now, onto the items!

Mellow Ultra Matte Lipstick in Madness – FULL SIZE! Value $13

I love the packaging design of this lipstick, and the formula is fab, too. It’s described as “Ultra Matte” but I think it is more of a satin finish. The formula is really moisturizing, so that gives just a hint of a satin finish. The pigment is excellent as well.

Here it is swatched:

It’s a cool, berry-red and very bold!

Illamsqua Hydra Veil – 6 ml Value $9

This Hydra Veil is a gel primer that absorbed almost instantly into my skin and felt like I had nothing on. (I still could tell my skin felt smoother, though.) It’s a great base for foundation, and one of my favorite discoveries in the box!

Balance Me Daily Essentials Pure Skin Face Wash – 50 ml Value $12

I love the Balance Me line (they are ingredient conscious and their formulas are gentle on my skin), and this cleanser has now been in my shower routine for the past few days. It does an excellent job of cleansing my skin without drying it out – so I’m very pleased it is a larger sized sample!

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer – 40 ml Value $15.50

This Elasticizer is designed to be used on damp hair for 20 minutes before shampooing. It’s a deep conditioning treatment you can use twice a week. I’ve sampled this before and didn’t see amazing results, so I thought I’d try it again – still nothing substantial. I’m wondering if it works better on certain hair types? Let me know if you’ve tried it and have any tips!

Bubble T Hibiscus & Acai Berry Tea Bath Fizzer – Value $4

This bath bomb is huge! (Over 6 ounces!) And it has a lovely tropical flower scent. I appreciate that it is paraben-free, but unfortunately for me, it includes an ingredient I’m allergic to (Red 40), so I’ll be passing along this treat to a friend.

CoQ10 Caviar Face Mask Sheet – Value $6

This mask was super hydrating and gentle on my skin. It has added fragrance, but I liked the scent. The only downside for me is that it is formulated with parabens.

And this box includes the latest issue of  Elle UK Magazine:

Value $5

I love getting this mini mag with the box – it’s a fun extra, and the size is great for throwing in your purse, too.

The Verdict: This month’s box has a value of about $64.50 – I think that’s amazing for a $22 beauty box shipped from overseas! (And you can get the $15 a box annual price without having to pay the full amount up front, too.)

The brands, sample sizes, and packaging are great – I can’t recommend this box enough!

  1. Has anyone still not received the December box? I haven’t and did submit an inquiry. No response yet, maybe they’re still closed for New Years.

    • I’ve not gotten mine yet, either. Got a shipment email weeks ago, but no box. They say allow 30 days before filing a “complaint” due to packages having to clear customs and such.

    • Did you finally get your box? Was going to sign up for this sub., but I don’t know now. It looks like you get your monies worth! Do you get much makeup? And what overalldo you like about this company, or customer service? Thanks

      • If your looking for more makeup.. then I would go with Boxy Charm. Look Fantastic is more skincare, but may include 1 or 2 makeup items each month. Oh.. and YES! Look Fantastic is definitely worth the price and has good value. Especially if you sign up for an annual sub like I did. I only pay $14.50 a month and this is definitely one of my favorite monthly subs! Also.. I love their customer service and have never had any problems with them. I always get my box every month too.. no worries there!

      • Well thanks alot for the info Melissa W.! That is a big help.

  2. I got a Mellow lipstick from Ipsy once. Ugliest orange color I’ve ever gotten. I was so mad because it’s such a great formula.

    • don’t understand orange lipstick period! I don’t care what they say, orange is NOT the new black! (Not that it applies to lipstick, though I’d wear black lipstick before orange!)😎

  3. Still waiting for my December box, too. This is the longest it’s ever taken to get my monthly box. Happy to see what’s coming! I sell the items I don’t use from my boxes on eBay and often cover most if not all of the box cost. I’ll use some of these items and sell the rest. I always look forward to my LFbox but wish there was a way to track it.

    • I think you can pay an extra fee of $9 for tracking info. Just remember it’s holiday time and packages take longer. In fact I just got my box today. What is your ebay seller name or store name?

      • My eBay user name is Fubar419 right now I have a whole box of items to list that I haven’t gotten to with all the busyness of the holidays. I’ll be listing some full size products from benevolent beauty tomorrow though.

  4. I loved this box, but ended up gifting a hand picked beauty box I made for a friend and put the bath fizz and face wash in it, along with a bunch of other items from other beauty boxes. She loved it!

  5. First off, I am never going to get this box(it has been in dispatch for 30 days)…secondly, I have used the elasticizer and it’s great, if you use it AFTER you shampoo. I found the pre-shampoo did nothing wonderful to my hair and was a time waster. But, as a leave in conditioner or conditioning rinse it really seemed to work well. Not enough to spend 40 bucks on the full size, but certainly enough to finish the bottle.

    • I didn’t think my box was coming either but it arrived today. Just make sure you contact them before end of month per FAQs.

  6. Agreed – Balance Me is great! Their undereye concealer and their “congested skin” blemish treatment are the least irritating yet still effective things I have ever tried. My eyes are sensitive and allergicy, and almost every concealer I have tried has caused them to look worse (except It Cosmetics, but that’s really heavy). This one is light, works, and no extra bags, swelling, itching, or tearing. And that blemish cream…kills the zit with no flaking skin.

I wish I could try the facewash, and the other products, but alas, LF keeps declining my payment. Even though there is money in the account, even though I have tried 6 accounts altogether, they keep having a problem. I thought maybe it was because they are in the UK and I am in the US, but other Americans seem to be having no problem 🙁

I have tried many times over the last two months, thinking it was a temporary system problem. I signed up for the full year and want to honor that and keep trying the products, but I can’t.

    • I had the same issue with them. After multiple tries I finally just gave up…wasn’t worth the hassle.

  7. I got a magazine in a the cardboard box, no beauty box. I’ve reached out to customer service, so we will see.

  8. I love this sub, it’s one of my favourites (funny enough, most of the UK based ones are). I love the packaging, the items are super fun to try and I love the fact that everyone gets the exact same thing every month so there’s zero box envy. Fantastic sub even if it does take a little longer to get to me each month.

  9. If anyone doesn’t want the lipstick (unused and never swatched), let me know!

  10. If I sign up now Liz would I recieve the December 📦 Box? Thank you in Advance.

    • It will tell you clearly what box is available on the website when you go to subscribe/purchase. If it’s not sold out yet, it’ll be December. If it is, you’ll get January

    • It looks like your first box will be the January box if you sign up now. Hope that helps!

  11. My favorite by far is the balance me face wash. I’ve tried a number of their eye products before and they were great. This product smells great (to me), doesn’t foam too much and leaves my skin soft and hydrated. It is my go to cleanser after tough gym workouts and will be a staple in my gym bag!
