Mindfulness Box Subscription Box Review – May 2015 Card

Each item comes with a card with information about how to use it, its benefits, etc.

Mindfulness Box Subscription Box Review – May 2015 Necklace

Lael Sunrise Jewelry Rose Quartz Necklace – Value $36

I love delicate gold jewelry, and this piece is my style too! (Plus I love that this piece alone is worth more than the cost of the box).

Mindfulness Box Subscription Box Review – May 2015 Lavender

Aura Cacia Chill Pill Essential Oil – Value $8.79

Here is a description of the scent:

Take a deep breath! Orange, peppermint and basil help relieve the mind of its burdens, while lavender, patchouli and chamomile cool off the emotions.

I like this scent, and Mindfulness Box included it as a reminder to take a breather whenever you need it. They recommend using it in a diffuser or adding a few drops to a bath.

Mindfulness Box Subscription Box Review – May 2015 Notes

Note Cards – Value?

These were included to “explore self love through expression… Writing a letter is an authentic form of meditation. Allow yourself to be fully present, fully alive.”

Mindfulness Box Subscription Box Review – May 2015 Stick

Palo Santo Stick – Value ?

I received Palo Santo sticks in the January Yogi Surprise box, and I LOVE the scent! Mindfulness box recommends burning the stick or using it to make tea!

Mindfulness Box Subscription Box Review – May 2015 Zen

Zenbunni Chocolate – Value $4

This chocolate is made with biodynamic ingredients. I love getting chocolate in boxes, but I thought it was weird to get this in the May box since they also included Zenbunni chocolate in the April box.

Verdict: This is one of those boxes that I think is more about the value it brings to you than the retail value. (Though for this month the retail value is higher than the box cost). I think having a monthly reminder to take time for yourself, meditate, etc. can be very valuable, and I like the concept of this box.

What do you think of the May Mindfulness box?

  1. I received the Aura Cacia Chill Pill Essential Oil in the Eco Emi Wellness box. I’ve enjoyed reading the reviews.

  2. While I really like the idea behind this box and think that the necklace is cute and other items nice, I had to giggle a bit at the stick. “Hmmmm, what else could we put in the box? I know, let’s put a stick in it! It’s a special stick though… ” Sorry about being cynical — maybe I should order the Mindfulness box 🙂

    • The stick…is actually Palo Santo wood. This wood burns with a lovely sweet smelling smoke (think incense, sage etc). I received a pack of these as a gift and so was excited to get another one. Yes random to send just one but it really does smell lovely and I love how it changes the atmosphere in my bedroom.

  3. Opps – Noticed the value was higher then the box – Anyway, hope they put more home items in the next box. Their logo is super cute and happy.

  4. Liz: I agree with you about the box being more about curation. Curation is fine when it comes to some boxes, Love + Blessed is a good example of that. Yet I’m starting to appreciate value on higher priced boxes more so. I think there needs to be a balance between curation and value. The necklace is pretty, yet someone would have to wear gold tone and delicate necklaces to appreciate it. The cards are great because people can always use cards. I wish they would have stuck with more home items like they did in their last box. – I’m thinking of resubbing to Yogi Surprise Lifestyle Box + getting their jewelry box. The Lifestyle box has improved and I like that they added a jewelry box.
