Yay! Jouer Le Matchbox subscriptions are back in stock! (Thank you so much Heather and Terri for letting us know!)

FYI – before you sign up for the subscription, make sure to create an account on their site. (When you are actually purchasing the Matchbox subscription, there is no field to enter your email address, but I created an account and made sure I was signed in when I bought a subscription, and I did receive an email order confirmation).

  1. Ugh. I love this subscription, but they have double billed me twice now. First I was double billed for my Le Matchbox, and now I have been billed again ($84!) for an order dating back to the first week of April. I can almost understand the subscription, but rebilling for an almost 2 month old order?? Just wanted to make you all aware so you check your credit cards, they reversed the first one promptly but it takes 5 days to show up in your account.

  2. After stalking my back door all morning, it finally arrived! The packaging is beautiful. I didn’t see anyone mention about the fact that they gave directions on how to slide the blush together with other items to make an individualized palette. Such a clever idea.

    I have a question about the eye lash curler. Admittedly, I haven’t curled mine in years. But the raves about this one made me open it up. On mine, there is only a rubber bumper on the bottom and the top portion is hard plastic. Seems to me that would cut or damage lashes. Is everyone’s like that or am I missing the upper rubber bumper? Have you tried it and had it work safely?


    • Hi Cindy! I had the same question about the lash curler when I first saw it – but I checked out my old standby lash curler, which I always forget about, and it had the same design with the rubber on bottom and sharp edge on top. So I tried it out this morning and I still have my lashes! You’ve probably tried it already by now but I thought I would let you know just in case.

      I loved this box! Really everything in it was great quality and be used. I don’t know whether to continue because I really don’t need any more makeup, but either way I am a huge fan of the Jouer brand now after trying out these products.

      I’d love to see them send out some of their bb/foundations but I’m not sure how they would choose shades without a much more involved survey.

  3. I received my box today and am in love. I received the same box as Liz including the Daily Repair Treatment Oil.

    A lot of you know I have rosacea and am not a fan of putting blush on my face when I am trying to reduce the redness in my face. Still it doesn’t look right when I have foundation on without a little color in my face. I saw the blush and thought no way is that going to work for me. I put it on lightly and it is PERFECT!!!!

    I’m also wearing the Whitney lipstick which I blotted a little because I am wearing a winter color shirt. I checked the ingredients and can use the serum πŸ™‚ I like the perfume oil. I can use everything except for the eye crayon because of my eye disease.

    I’m going out in a half hour wearing blush in public for the first time in years along with the lipstick. Plus I am wearing my eyeshadow from the Kloverbox which is the only kind my eyes can tolerate. The first in years wearing blush and eye shadow together!!!

    I realize not many may understand. I had no problems until my mid 30s. I miss the fun of enjoying makeup. This is exciting for me!!!

    • I think I know how you feel. I didn’t wear eye makeup for a very long time because I had glasses. When I finally got contact lenses, I went nuts with the eye makeup. (I started wearing blush again for the first time in awhile at around the same time — I had previously spent all my days in a graduate school chemistry lab where there didn’t seem to be any point to makeup. It was fun to break out of my old mold!)

  4. Just received my box today and Love, Love it. I love everything in it. I didn’t think I would like the black eyeshadow stick , but there is a sharpener attached to the bottom so you can turn it into a kohl eyeliner. Great idea! There is a light pink pouch under the box in the mailing box that I almost missed. So make sure when you take the box out you look underneath to make sure you don’t accidentally toss it.

  5. I’m really excited about this box. I love the brand, I think the value for the price is amazing, and quarterly is just often enough that I won’t overload on their products. I wish other brands would follow suit. Of course, then I’d probably have a hard time choosing which ones to get. πŸ˜‰

  6. I received the email it was back in stock and couldn’t order until now. I created my account, took the quiz, and then ordered. My order confirmation says “SKU: KIT-LeMatchBox-Cool” which matches my quiz. I can’t wait to receive the box!

  7. I’m so happy with my box. I’ve never tried a face oil before now but gave it a shot and i have to say I’m hooked lol!

  8. I ordered mine early this morning, and forgot to sign in to my account first, so nothing showed on the account, but I did see that I was charged. I also noticed after I submitted that there was an option to pick cool/warm, and even though I hadn’t selected anything, my quiz ended up with cool. I wanted the warm, though, I think both work for me, so I emailed them. Didn’t hear back, so I just called. Super nice woman, she told me that I was showing as getting the cool but she could change it since it hasn’t shipped yet. She was also surprised that my account does not show record of the order, and said she was going to change it. This is one of the best customer service experiences I have had with sub boxes. I think this is going to be a great box!

  9. I ordered when they first were available and still haven’t received shipping info yet πŸ™

    • Me too. πŸ™ I emailed them and attempted to call, but their voicemail was full. Hope it ships soon!

      • It was actually waiting on my doorstep when I got home yesterday, even though I never received a shipping notice. I emailed them earlier in the day and they responded within a couple hours, saying it should be arriving soon and forwarding the shipment info. So the customer support is great!

  10. I was debating between this box and the new Luxor box. After seeing that they are shipping the current box, I decided to go with this one and placed an order. I made an account first. I cannot tell from my order whether I am getting ‘cool’ or not. I took the quiz and thought it would be reflected in my account for future reference (prior to ordering). Upon looking back at the order page, I see that there is a place to select it there (and I missed that when I ordered). Does anyone see their choice of cool or warm reflected in their order page or account page somewhere? Thanks!

  11. I just placed an order and under account settings it says that it shipped today. Obviously it didn’t ship within a minute or ordering. But there is also a little box next to the subscription that says send previous box. Does anyone know if I’ll get the first box if I check this or if I will get charged double for two boxes?

    • I just ordered and wondered the same thing – are we getting the first box soon or will we get the box that ships next quarter?

      • I’m assuming we’re getting the same first box that Liz got. My email from Jouer at 4:00 a.m. let me know the subscription was “back in stock,” so I am assuming I don’t have to wait 3 months for next quarter’s box.

    • I had the same question so I called Jouer and she said I will definitely be getting the current/first box. Love the customer service!

      • Thanks for posting your response. I was going to contact customer service but decided to leave it up to fate. I’m guessing then, that I’ll also get the first month’s box since I placed an order today. I love Jouer cosmetics, they apply like a dream, last all day, and the colors work for me.
