GlossyBox Subscription Box Review & Coupon – April 2015

I just received my April GB today, May 6th, but was surprised to see that I was sent a limited edition box. So while I was disappointed it was late (I was informed they were waiting on product for the boxes, which delayed them) I was quite happy to receive the limited edition one, with the matching bag & mystery gift. That said, my Lip Tar is ORANGE, maybe could work as a cheek stain? I didn’t like the Waterlily fragrance at first, but as I type this, it is growing on me. It’ll be nice for summer. This was my very 1st GB, and I am excited to try everything in it.

I love this months glossybox, but I would really like to swap some of the colors if anyone is interested in swapping. I received the lip gloss in new wave, which is a pretty pink color but I have so many pinks now I would really like to try a red color, like jealous. Also the julep eye liner I received in olive, which I already own, so I really wanted to try the navy or smoky plum. If anyone wants to swap out their colors please let me know, I am on the swap page thanks

I’m still waiting for mine! I signed up through the Rue La La special. It’s been sitting at “paid” for awhile and just changed to “packed.” I’ve heard they’re slow to ship, so I’m trying to be patient. I signed up for the subscription as well as the special Mother’s Day box.

Ive a question on the Julep gel eyeliner. Can I sharpen it after it gets dull? It isn’t like an ordinary pencil….

I love Glossy! I have had them for close to a year now and they are awesome..the themes are too cute and they are so well curated. I’m pretty picky! I have boxycharm, glossybox & ipsy. I’ve tried and dumped many others to land on these 3. I’m really glad my lip tar was not the safety cone orange. yikes. Mine is a red/orange..I’ll have to check the color but I liked it as I’m warmed toned. It’s also a gloss which I have yet to try by OCC. I like the serum!!! YES! finally a hair product I like. I am not into the shampoos..:( I love serums or something that adds volume. I am pretty sure I’ll never have to buy another eyeliner for years but this is a cool one..I’m happy to toss it into the rotation. of 50 others but I’ll try it. perfume is ok and I like trying out EL stuff. for $21, I love glossy..I am devoted.

Finally received my box today and it was the same as Liz’s my eyeliner was a beautiful bronze and my card was a 50% off coupon – bonus! I still am in love with GlossyBox!

Got mine today!

Same as Liz’s except my eyeliner is navy. Which is fine because although I have a lot of those eyeliners, I don’t have that particular color.

I am cool with the lip color — there are few lip colors I won’t wear (outside of green and blue and stuff like that). We will see with the perfume — I like it in the bottle, at least.

My TF discount code was 50% off. Which is what you would get for nothing if you signed up for your mailing list. So I don’t feel too special there. Probably won’t use it.

Received my box today and it matches this one except I received a navy eye pencil. One of the better boxes I’ve received in a few months. I really like the cute cosmetic bag.

So I always get my GlossyBox mid-month and with all the cool stuff that is in Liz’s box. My only theory is that I have stayed on a month-to-month subscription (because of all the horror stories online) so perhaps they give priority to people who can cancel anytime. Not a great policy if so, but it works out for me. I loved this box.

Got my Glossybox today! LOVE the box! Mine is exactly the same as Liz except I got a Navy eyeliner which I’m thrilled about! I put the perfume on right away and I really like it – normally I’m not a perfume person but I think that’s changing. (I stopped wearing perfume for over 5 years b/c almost every product is scented – shampoo, condition, body wash, lotions, etc. – plus my nose is very sensitive.)

I’m excited to try the hair stuff for split ends. The only think I’m not sure is about is that hot pink lip tar… maybe if I layer it over something? Or wear it with a natural/nude eye and pink cheeks??

Got my box today and although the box is totally different color-wise (which I’m kind of happy about, not being a blonde myself) I LOVE it for the most part. The perfume smells wonderful when I first spray it, but then goes to a old lady-ish with a quickness, I will use it on my hair where my skin pheromones and chemistry won’t affect it. Also, I got my OCC Lip Tar in “New Wave” and although the color seems daunting in the package, once the color wears off a bit from drinking and talking, it leaves a great stain behind. Bright, but definitely more natural looking. I’m also glad I got the liner in “bronze shimmer”. I like to wear eye liner and brown is a much more subdued look to go pick up the kiddos from school at 12 pm than black is. Ha! Overall, I’m happy with the box.

Just got my box today and I love it ! I got the purple / teal box color, which was the one I was hoping for and the bright pink gloss and the olive eye pencil, as well as the other 2 products. I was hoping to get the eye pencil in smoky purple or navy because I already own olive so I think I will be swapping it. My Thurs Fri card is good for 50% off, but I do not plan on using it. If anyone wants it, I am pretty open to swaps, even something of small value, I just don’t want to waste it.

I received my Glossybox today and the only item that was different was the julep eyeliner color….got it in navy smoke which I am thrilled about! Its beautiful and will certainly compliment my blue eyes. I am excited about absolutely everything in this months box, but especially the Thursday Friday discount code! I see most people received 50% off so I hope I get the same….I picked out an awesome bag for summer and I’m so excited. This is the first time I received a glossybox that I was this excited about!!! Lol….can you detect my excitement!!!!

If anyone wants my perfume, I would love to swap it, especially for the rituals foaming gel from February box.

Got my box today, the red background one. My julep was missing 🙁 Which really is bad as I am allergic to both the Estee Lauder and the hair stuff and I can’t see too many times I could get away with neon red lips. I sent them a message from Facebook, we will see if they get back to me.

I received my April box today. I got the same as Liz except my lip tar and eye liner are both a different shade. This is the first time since they have started not sending the same stuff that I have received the same items.

My GB came today, it is the same as Liz’s except my liner is Navy Smoke, a beautiful dark blue that I will certainly use. I’m pretty happy with this box and think I will use everything. I even like the Aerin Waterlily Sun Perfume, I usually end up tossing or giving away any type of scent samples due to allergies, but I have had it on for a couple of hours now and no bad reaction to the scent. I really love the packaging too. This is my 3rd month of the 20% off prepaid one year membership. The first couple of months were a bit disappointing because my boxes were different that everyone else’s, I guess they were the classic version.

My Glossybox arrived today and I’m just so relieved that it’s the same as Liz’s box that I haven’t even decided whether I’ll use the contents or not. Pathetic isn’t it?!
That was my last Glossybox after having been with them for quite a few years. I’m thrilled that I won’t have to do battle with Glossybox ever again to receive something other than the despised ‘classic’ box. The only way I’d ever resubscribe is if they go back to the old model where Everyone receives the same box, no matter what.

I got my Glossybox today and really liked it. Mine was exactly like Liz’s. I LOVE the perfume. A friend will get the makeup bag and lip stain. I did not get a brush with that – it sounds like most people didn’t. I’ve almost always been happy with Gossybox and this one had good quality items I’m pleased with.

Besides the completely ridiculous “mystery discount”, the actual Glossybox is just ok.

This box was the last one in a 3 month gift subscription my brother bought me, and the only things I’m excited about are the box itself and the perfume. The box makes for great decor next to all my Birchboxes, and I absolutely love getting perfume samples that are legit miniature forms of the full size. Even if the smell is bad, the bottles make gorgeous vanity decor.

-Glossybox seriously needs to part ways with OCC. But at least the color I got (Jealous) is a wearable summer color.
-The Julep eyeliner I got is a plum so dark it looks almost black, I prefer it to a black eyeliner so I guess that is a positive. Eyeliner is never exciting though.
-The hair stuff smells good – but the full size (which is the size we got) is really cheap. That’s never exciting either.
-I’m in the minority, but the bag is hideous in my opinion, so I’ll give it away.
-And the Estee Lauder serum would be exciting if it wasn’t pushed so darn much in beauty boxes. At least it’s a high end item though.

I would not have paid for this box myself, but nothing was terrible so I’m not too mad at it. (Just mad at that stupid ThursdayFriday company).

Just got my box, and the ThuFri.com “mystery discount” code is nothing but a b*llsh*t way of them advertising their site. The card is for 50% off, but when you go to their site, a pop-up comes up saying “sign up with an email and get 50% off your first purchase”. How bogus!!! And shipping over $50 is free, but any total amount under that is TEN DOLLARS ($10) FOR SHIPPING!! Because they pulled this “mystery discount” crap, I’ll be sure NOT to purchase from them. What a dishonest way to bait new customers. The only way it becomes a good deal is if I buy something half price that comes to over $50, then go back and buy something else half price that comes to over $50. $100 I have to spend…… Eff that!!!

I got my box today, it’s the exact same as Liz’s but I got a navy smoke eye pencil. I am just not crazy about my box. I abhor the perfume. I cannot wear any perfume, but this one is horrible. I like the eyeliner, the lip color so sooooo bright. I can just use a teeny tiny bit, so I don’t love it. I do like the smell of the hair product a lot, and I will try the eye cream, but it just wasn’t an exciting box for me. I won’t use the coupon code. I went ahead and cancelled my sub. Maybe I will sign up again when they have a good coupon, but this box and last months were just Blah for me.

I received my box today and I love it! I bought a year’s sub in March so this is my second box. Mine is the same as Liz just with different colors in the lip tar and the eye liner. My lip Tar is in the color Jealous and it is a very bright red, and my eye liner is in the color Smoky Plum which is a almost black purple. I’m very happy with both colors.

I tried the perfume and my fiance said it smelled like very nice bug spray. It’s a slightly musky floral.

I just got my Glossybox today and the items were the same as Liz’s, but the box is purple and teal, which I LOVE. I’m in LOVE with the box itself, love the colors. The lip tar I got is in New Wave, it’s bright, bright pink. I got Julep gel eye glider in Bronze Shimmer, but I can’t even open the pencil. Is there a secret?? It looks like the top of the pencil is sealed, wth. Other than that I really like the box, I’m sooo glad I got the makeup bag, which is the main thing I wanted. The perfume smells great too!
